Ryan isn’t wrong, the game has issues. But it’s a really fun game. It reminds me of PS3 and PS2 Madden and NCAA games. They weren’t super realistic, they didn’t have the best blocking, and they weren’t as close to simulation as 2K football. But they were fun, fast, and fluid. But Ryan was breaking those games down back then too. He just wants the best possible game. He’s always made content like this, and I’m glad he has. Madden in recent years, basically for the entire PS4 generation, has been slow, sluggish, ugly, and dull. This is not like that. It does share some similar issues, but overall I’m having a good time playing. So yes, this game is actually pretty fun and I think it’s good overall. But the issues Ryan is pointing out ARE real issues. Let’s stop coming at each other’s throats for disagreeing and either enjoy the game, or help it improve by finding issues with it.

I don’t want to watch my qb hand it off 25-30 times a game to a cpu runningback I don’t control, the ea protecters keep telling me “use the more plays option” but we have to run the ball sometime, I just want to be able to skip the play like I was 10 years ago back in 2014. The academic, training, and leadership thing gets incredibly old and stale after your first player. I think both dynasty and road to glory is very underwhelming

@@steelerskingslilbih5387it’s the opposite problem, the CPU’s QBs are too good and make perfect reads within 1-2 seconds. It’s damn near impossible to sack the QB at least on all-American or Heisman difficulty because that ball is thrown before you can even beat the pass block

"Ea sport fc" (the old fifa) sucks, The new F1 sucks (since Ea buyed Codemaster, the series has gone down) , Ufc 5 is nowhere near the level people expected (considering it's not a yearly release...) . At least Nba live is dead (rip to nba live 19, but you gotta sacrifici something to destroy these greedy bastards). 2k is good compared to Ea, just saying.... (hopefully Fifa will get an agreement with them and fught Ea on the Soccer/ Football title soon)

People are already posting the insane amount of glitches to X and Insta, specifically that one that has plagued Madden for like the last SEVEN YEARS where after a handoff, the ball suddenly teleports 30 yards behind the play and everyone chases after it 😂 That tells you all you need to know about this shiii...people are just buying into the hype because of the drought in CFB games over the past decade. You can put all the presentation you want over it, but at the end of the day, at it's core it's just another version of current-day Madden. 2K needs to make a College Football game ASAP to compete, bc thank God EA doesn't have an exclusive license to this.

My third game of the yr my CB took 2 picks to the house. Look at the national stats he has 0 picks and 0 TDs. After 3 weeks the whole country has 0 defensive TDS (I’ve personally thrown 3 I know I suck) and 0 safeties nationally and I’ve given up one and got one. It can’t even record what takes place. It’s sad.

I ran into the stupidest thing ever where i won both the championship and Heisman in my sophomore year, had an absolutely amazing season. A QB 1 overall higher than me transfered to my school and now I'm QB3. Coach trust is the maximum and it makes no sense at all.... I've now spent the first 3 games of my Junior year riding the pine.

Yea I’ve played my the 10 hour trial in a dynasty game and compared the ncaa 14 revamped gameplay and ncaa 14 blocking clears 25 at the moment 14 is not perfect but it is a really good foundational football game
Yeah I hate that you can’t watch the plays. Even on RTG. I like watching the plays because then I don’t feel like I’m being cheesed on field goals or the CPU always scoring against my defense in the last 10 seconds. I get it can happen but it happens so frequently when you can’t spectate.
So my opinion with it is, yes, it has assets from the same engine with updated looks and coding. Im worried about that for the future. But, are you expecting the A.I. coding in a video game to just never bug out and have terrible logic? I do see these plays happen sometimes, however i see them significantly less than i did playing madden, so it makes me feel its at least small improvements, whether thats enough for you is your own decision to make. But i dont expect the A.I in any game to be written perfectly to where they dont completely blow assignments (or pathways in non sports games). Expecting otherwise is setting yourself up for disappointment from the start.
It's clear as day this game is still super unpolished. The blocking, the clipping, etc. The fact that it's been that way for years is unacceptable. They couldn't care any less about the quality of the game as long as people continue to buy it.
@@HighAltitudeMMA theres a bug that gives you like 127 skill points which is enough to get you from a 60 overall to a 99 in like the first couple of weeks into the season. less positions to play, no highschool, no cutscenes just barebones menus and presentation very similar to madden. you get subbed out nonstop even if you are the starter in a clutch situation. cant skip into when a match starts. on the field music not separated enough and sounds get annoying real fast. no menu music other than drums. its fucked dude seriously. mini games are more fun than RTG because at least there is some resemblance of music

If you play road to glory as a defensemen the opposing team won’t even be able to get a pass off or break the line of scrimmage. My first 3 games as CB I played Oklahoma, arksansas razorbacks and Florida gators and my defense didn’t let them score a single field goal let alone touch down. We averaged 15 sacks a game with 5 minute quarters and they might of gotten positive yards on 3 or 4 downs a game running the ball. All without my player even being involved in any play till the 3rd game. It was so stupid that I almost quit playing entirely until I got a pick 6 that I caught in their end zone. It’s unplayable when your defenses AI is unrealistically dominant and the other team can’t even score

Earlier today, I saw Eric Rayweather post a video on all teams stadium entrances, and they were all generic af. Even when the matchup is a huge rivalry game like OSU-MICH. Basically the same few phrases were used in every team entrance. Ffs they can't even be bothered to make Rivalry Games have special intros when they did in NCAA 13 (the last one I played)

I don’t understand why they added this whole wear and tear system, but then have no way in the game to actually manage it. I had a HB that it said was in danger of being severely injured. The only way I could take him out of the game was pushing him far down the depth chart. However, once I did that the game later wouldn’t let him come back into the game. Even though he wasn’t on the injured list, I put him back in the top slot and he just couldn’t be in the game. There needs to be some easy way to move players out of position if they are going to have that system.
I’m not gonna lie your right the game is broken but I’m still going to play it. I have to adjust the sliders drastically and put it on varsity just to get stops. I mean at first I thought it was me being bad bud I went from heisman to all American and finally varsity and there was literally no difference till I tweaked sliders. This game is the cpu can do no wrong and the user can’t do anything right.
The truth is there are positive and negatives, and there is nuance between Ryan's excessive hate and people on Twitter and Reddit who will defend it blindly.

EA would literally have to create a whole new development team to start from scratch to create a football game 5-10 years out for them correct the issue…they have to annually release games per the deal with the NFL just like NBA 2k does these developers don’t have time to create a whole new game that’s why the same issues pop up year after year

Dude, as soon as I clicked on purchase game, I immediately regretted my decision. I had fun for like the first 2 hours, then I quickly realized it’s the same EA product year after year. We as consumers, need to have more discipline and simply not purchase any EA product.

Ngl the last couple maddens I’ve played 4-5 games and stopped because it was 💩. Made horrible. Wonky outcomes. Etc. I’ve played 5-6 games of CFB and it’s just the opposite. Can’t get enough. This game was made VERY well and I see ZERO wonkiness. Have I lost a few? Of course. But I knew it was on me EVERY time. In Madden it was on the game. In CFB it’s on me. Is CFB perfect? There are like 3 or 4 animations for wrap-up tackles. The rest of the time, in a group tackle situation, they just run into people with their arms flopping around at their sides lol. EA really is the lord god almighty of cheesing a football sim. It's been many years of football gaming sadness.
For me it was D.O.A without roster editing. Hoping they patch it in but not holding my breath. The college pageantry is enjoyable for the 1st hour, and then you realize just how minimal it is. Has such high hopes for it 😕
You have nothing to complain about. Try being a ea sports nhl series player. I played this game and was absolutely blown away how much effort is put into it. This is a very good game. From gameplay to graphics and atmosphere details. It’s honestly unreal. This game even has a nostalgic feel too it for a lot of people. I actually played this game way more offline than online too which is insane considering this game was probably made for more of an online fan base so ea can make money with cards and packs. Nothing needs fixed imo. A lot was put into this game and it’s not a copy and paste game like so many other ea games. Very excited to see where they go from this game.

I've got probably 10+ hrs in this game now. Some things I noticed which I think could be better. - Should be able to upgrade stadiums as a school grows and becomes more successful. - Old NCAA use to have a trophy case where you could see all the previous bowls and stuff you had won. - Music gets annoying real fast. Its the same drumline song on repeat - In game stadium effects are repetitive - Commentary is okay but needs more variety Overall considering this game technically had a 11yr period to be worked on. I expected it to be more feature rich. But it really sort of feels like a reskin of Madden with a recruiting system. With that said, I still enjoy the game its an "okay" game and fun to play in small doses.
Me personally im having fun. But of course this game has its issues. If i were to describe it its not a madden reskin but more a retooled version of maddens core gameplay. Which brings all the pros and cons modern madden has brought. I still see the typical bs madden plays every so often, and defense is 100% broken. But it feels like im actually having fun instead of feeling frustrated with the game. My biggest hope is that ea continues to try to put in effort to improve instead of just leaving this game as is because its certainly not perfect. I hope this game does well because on the off chance 2k sees this game do well they might just go "hey lets go make a cfb game" and competition returns. But it all falls on corporate ea and take two which does not give me much hope.

My third game of the yr my CB took 2 picks to the house. Look at the national stats he has 0 picks and 0 TDs. After 3 weeks the whole country has 0 defensive TDS (I’ve personally thrown 3 I know I suck) and 0 safeties nationally and I’ve given up one and got one. It can’t even record what takes place. It’s sad.

Yeah I hate that you can’t watch the plays. Even on RTG. I like watching the plays because then I don’t feel like I’m being cheesed on field goals or the CPU always scoring against my defense in the last 10 seconds. I get it can happen but it happens so frequently when you can’t spectate.
So my opinion with it is, yes, it has assets from the same engine with updated looks and coding. Im worried about that for the future.
But, are you expecting the A.I. coding in a video game to just never bug out and have terrible logic? I do see these plays happen sometimes, however i see them significantly less than i did playing madden, so it makes me feel its at least small improvements, whether thats enough for you is your own decision to make.
But i dont expect the A.I in any game to be written perfectly to where they dont completely blow assignments (or pathways in non sports games). Expecting otherwise is setting yourself up for disappointment from the start.

@@HighAltitudeMMA theres a bug that gives you like 127 skill points which is enough to get you from a 60 overall to a 99 in like the first couple of weeks into the season. less positions to play, no highschool, no cutscenes just barebones menus and presentation very similar to madden. you get subbed out nonstop even if you are the starter in a clutch situation. cant skip into when a match starts. on the field music not separated enough and sounds get annoying real fast. no menu music other than drums. its fucked dude seriously. mini games are more fun than RTG because at least there is some resemblance of music

If you play road to glory as a defensemen the opposing team won’t even be able to get a pass off or break the line of scrimmage. My first 3 games as CB I played Oklahoma, arksansas razorbacks and Florida gators and my defense didn’t let them score a single field goal let alone touch down. We averaged 15 sacks a game with 5 minute quarters and they might of gotten positive yards on 3 or 4 downs a game running the ball. All without my player even being involved in any play till the 3rd game. It was so stupid that I almost quit playing entirely until I got a pick 6 that I caught in their end zone. It’s unplayable when your defenses AI is unrealistically dominant and the other team can’t even score

Earlier today, I saw Eric Rayweather post a video on all teams stadium entrances, and they were all generic af. Even when the matchup is a huge rivalry game like OSU-MICH. Basically the same few phrases were used in every team entrance. Ffs they can't even be bothered to make Rivalry Games have special intros when they did in NCAA 13 (the last one I played)

I don’t understand why they added this whole wear and tear system, but then have no way in the game to actually manage it. I had a HB that it said was in danger of being severely injured. The only way I could take him out of the game was pushing him far down the depth chart. However, once I did that the game later wouldn’t let him come back into the game. Even though he wasn’t on the injured list, I put him back in the top slot and he just couldn’t be in the game. There needs to be some easy way to move players out of position if they are going to have that system.
It sounds as bad as maddens stamina regression thing this past year.
I mean the movement is so harsh, it dont know how it can even matter.

You have nothing to complain about. Try being a ea sports nhl series player. I played this game and was absolutely blown away how much effort is put into it. This is a very good game. From gameplay to graphics and atmosphere details. It’s honestly unreal. This game even has a nostalgic feel too it for a lot of people. I actually played this game way more offline than online too which is insane considering this game was probably made for more of an online fan base so ea can make money with cards and packs. Nothing needs fixed imo. A lot was put into this game and it’s not a copy and paste game like so many other ea games. Very excited to see where they go from this game.

I've got probably 10+ hrs in this game now. Some things I noticed which I think could be better.
- Should be able to upgrade stadiums as a school grows and becomes more successful.
- Old NCAA use to have a trophy case where you could see all the previous bowls and stuff you had won.
- Music gets annoying real fast. Its the same drumline song on repeat
- In game stadium effects are repetitive
- Commentary is okay but needs more variety
Overall considering this game technically had a 11yr period to be worked on. I expected it to be more feature rich. But it really sort of feels like a reskin of Madden with a recruiting system.
With that said, I still enjoy the game its an "okay" game and fun to play in small doses.
Me personally im having fun. But of course this game has its issues. If i were to describe it its not a madden reskin but more a retooled version of maddens core gameplay. Which brings all the pros and cons modern madden has brought. I still see the typical bs madden plays every so often, and defense is 100% broken. But it feels like im actually having fun instead of feeling frustrated with the game. My biggest hope is that ea continues to try to put in effort to improve instead of just leaving this game as is because its certainly not perfect. I hope this game does well because on the off chance 2k sees this game do well they might just go "hey lets go make a cfb game" and competition returns. But it all falls on corporate ea and take two which does not give me much hope.
