    The best video of all those "climbing with tomoa" videos.
    Though I don't think only the Japanese climbing team are good friends. I think nearly every national climbing team is good friends with each other.

    • @Jonathan_sin88
      @Jonathan_sin88  5 місяців тому +7

      haha of course climbers within other teams are friends with each other too, but I honestly dont think they are nearly as close as the climbers in the Japanese team, they jsut train together so much more and so often, where a lot of other climbers actually train separately and only come together for official team trainings. I guess my point is they are super close thats all ahha

      Yes, and no! You can hear when certain athletes are co-commenting on the IFCS channel because Charlie would always ask all kinds of questions (he always say he wants some inside gossip, jokingly) but slowly during these long comps athletes would open up and would "spill out" some details. They are friendly but some are from different gyms, and rarely train together and sometimes there are rivalry

    Amazing video, Tomoa really is an incredible coach in these scenarios. The biggest take away for me is the consistent level of difficulty they're aiming for (saying they are rarely sending these spray wall projects). So many people plateau in their skills because they don't challenge themselves. Gotta not be afraid to constantly fail in the gym to get this good.

    It's interesting to see how much effort they put in exercising and warming up their hip flexors. Kinda makes sense now that I think about it. When I started climbing a year ago people told me to climb as much from my legs as possible, meaning I had to keep my legs straight and push myself up with my legs whenever possible. And although this was good advice, I do notice that I'm usually using more hip strength with a lot of boulders, especially overhangs. I guess that's because you mainly use your hips to position yourself correctly.
