But I get it because her sensual and smooth vocals along with this slightly angst beat together creates tension when you don't understand the lyrics and you are just listening.
I mean I already knew it was about how both her ethnic backgrounds have always had this cultural clash, but never heard her say anything about her being sexually traumatized? Unless you're referring to her muslim background, and how her muslim roots/culture was different when it came to what was expected from her as a woman, such as the way a woman dresses/behaves, and how that encourages a sort of sexual repression compared to what western/french society allows. I think I vaguely remember seeing her mention something about that in an old video, since she has both french and algerian backgrounds.
