Sometimes it's donated to volunteer departments in need. There are situations where the departments keep the equipment. Then in some situations we will sell it to a dealer that specializes in used equipment.
I would say Whelen #1 because 98% of their equipment is Made In America by American workers. My number two(#2) is SoundOff Signal and coming in last @ number three(#3) would be Federal Signal. SoundOff Signal although they do have a small portion of their equipment manufacturing done overseas. I have noticed their quality control is in my opinion better. I hate to offend people but if I had to choose a #4 I would absolutely put Feneix Industries in that spot above ECCO/Code3. Although ECCO has been around a long time most all of their equipment is made overseas. I know FedSig outsources alot of their equipment also as does SOS & Feniex. I think how a company responds to/handles issues and failures speaks volumes about them. I know/understand why Feniex has structured their product lines as they have but I also believe it is hurting their progress. Because we have many prior Feniex customers considering other brands due to the unavailability of products other than the Quad line. We don't push any specific brands as we offer all of the top four(4) I spoke of which I personally believe are the only viable options if your looking for professional products. We work with all budgets and allow our customers to make their final decision as appropriate.
