This DVD contains five films which illustrate the earlier developments in hovercraft history.
First is 'Riding on a Cushion' - a short film which features a number of early designs - including those of Cushioncraft - Vickers - HDL & Westland.
Next is a marketing film for the Hovermarine HM.2 sidewall hovercraft - which explains the theory and operation of this craft in detail.
Comprising two BHC films - SR.N6 in Uniform and Hovercraft Workhorse together with footage of the SR.N6 Mk6 military craft - the Amazon expedition and later developments - 'SR.N6 Workhorse' summarises the career of probably the most successful hovercraft design ever built.
'Hovercraft Progress' charts the developments at BHC at the height of hovercraft development. The film shows SR.N1 - N2 - N3 and N5 and hints at the N4 to come with concept artwork and operational models of the time.
'Look no Wings' is a short film showing the operations of SR.N2 in the UK on its first passenger services.
