Hi Michael Thank you for your message. First of all I have to tell you, a regular 370 hub cannot be converted into 15mm. The oppsite way is true, as we are using a different hubshell for the 15mm version. The make an exact identification of your hub and the possible ooptions, please get in contact with one of our service centers. You will find a list here to identify a service close by to you: www.dtswiss.com/en/support/service-center/ Have a nice day, Friso "DT Swiss".
For those of you who don’t want to spend $67 on the tool, get a 1 1/8” socket and a screwdriver. Works just as well and most people have these laying around. Tired of anything remotely MTB related getting marked up 10 fold
A section of 27.2 seat post can be used instead of that fancy tool. Thank you Block Bikes (PDX) for finding this hack! BTW, even when properly installed, the end caps will be loose and rattle. The thru axle will tight that up when the wheel’s on the bike and the load will be born by the bearings, not the caps.
You can use the end of your thru-axle to remove the end caps, and reinstall the lock rings with a rubber mallet and a socket that that fits over the end caps. No need to waste your money and clutter your tool box with that special tool.
I need to conver my 350 hub from RS Pike to Fox 36 (2023 model). What end caps should I use for the Fox 36 fork? These from Rockshox are quite too big, these which I got with my hubs as stock end caps are just a bit too big. Would be greatful for some info what to use for Fox 36.
Hi, I´m trying to convert my 10 speed 1450 DT Swiss rear hub (135mm) to 11 speed (142mm); I just bought the ratchet free hub body (12x142mm), It fits ok, but the right cap is too short...what kind of caps (for rim brake system) do I need to get my goal? Thanks in advance
Hi ThunderStruckCoach, the ring has an L-shape and the flat side is facing outwards, when you have the end caps in your hand you will immediately understand how it fits together. Best regards, José, DT Swiss
Hi Chad! I have a DT Swiss 350 wheelset that came on my Santa Cruz Hightower (BOOST 110, with Torque Cap). I want to swap this wheelset between two bikes, one with the Sram Torque Cap, the other being a Fox Boost 110 fork. What am I to do?! Thank you
You need to change torque caps on wheels to normal end cups then you can use it on both forks. Only on torque cap fork is little bit harder to align axle to hub, but during riding you wont notice diference.
Hi wyo angel, the only wheel that could be used is the 1900 series since all others have 148mm boost axles. You could buy a 29" 12/142mm wheel and change the end caps to 5/135mm to fit your frame. Best regards, José, DT Swiss
Hi I am getting confused. The video said the kit won't fit non boost hub but the video description say will work for standard 100x15mm hub? I have a 100x15mm DT350 front hub, which part I should order to make it Torque caps compatible ?
Hi there, i have an E1800 DB Spline, and it came with 12mm thru axle end caps, I am trying to switch it out for the 15mm end caps that are included, is the tool here the right tool?
I've just bought a pair of R23 Spline DB wheels and I need to convert the front 15/100mm to the 12/100 end caps that were supplied with the front wheel. Is this the procedure for removal? The manual supplied does not give any instructions at all and I can't find a definitive answer on the DT Swiss website. Thanks, Steve.
Hi, yes, when the wheel is outside your fork the endcaps will have a little play, but as soon as you tight them inside your fork the play will be gone. Kind regards, Christian, DT Swiss
Is there a way which I can safely install the torque caps without having the special DT installation/removal tool?? I do not want to buy the tool which I'm only going to use once and is also more expensive than the torque caps themselves...
Of course they would say no lol yes simply Use a dowel or similar to take off the end cap. use a socket from a socket wrench to tap in the lock ring. I found 1 1/8” works best but many will work as long as it fits over the cap and presses against the lock ring.
Hi Marcin, yes that is possible, if you change to the 5/135mm QR end caps. For 12/142mm it converts into 5/135 and for boost 12/148mm it converts into 5/141mm. Also see our Product Support page, I have selected a M1900 Spline as reference www.dtswiss.com/en/support/product-support?matnr=W0M1900NEDTSA06947 under Conversions you will find the end caps for all 1900 Spline wheels of the current version. Be aware to select the according end caps for Shimano 11s or Sram XD. Kind regards, José, DT Swiss
Thank you for the question. In the United States, our distributor QBP (Quality Bicycle Products) will be carrying the installation tool set. Best Regards, Andrew
Hi Steph, yes, such a conversion is possible. there are two conversion kits available, one for Shimano and one for SRAM XD freehub bodies. According article numbers can be found here: www.dtswiss.com/en/support/conversion-charts/end-cap-solution-mtb-rear/ Best regards, DT Swiss
Hi there and thank you for your message. The TorqueCap Kit for 15/100mm hubs and 15/110mm hubs is the same. As the difference in-between boost and non boost front hubs from DT Swiss is the hub shell, the endcaps of both hubs are identical. Friso "DT Swiss".
Hi Jean, the 350/370 front hub endcap removal/installation tool - HWTXXX00N5290S does work with your E1850 front wheel hub (assuming you have 15mm axle endcaps). Best Regards, Andrew DT Swiss USA
Hi Mark, for a clear identification and spare part recommendation we need the production code that is laser etched on your hubshell (you will most likely have to dismount the disc brake rotor to see it). Best regards, Kai, DT Swiss.
I can't find where to buy those tools anywhere though. Took it to my LBS and they had no idea what I was talking about. Can you send me a link to where I can get those tools or if there is an alternative that I can use - like a deep socket and a screwdriver with a rag? haha

Thanks. a Dewalt 10 mm socket just did the trick for me. Insert and pull back at a slight angle.

Are you talking about the tool that press fits the hub end caps back into place?
@@jbspillman yes. Or use a socket from a socket wrench. Most people have these laying around
Works great with a 27.2 seat post. Thanks you for the tip !
Seat post was a good idea thanks. Hope I didn’t damage the bearings
A tip : zooming in is instructive.
You can use some sockets and an old 15mm axle or a wooden dowell to work on these hubs instead of paying for the tools.
You can use the end of your thru-axle to remove the end caps, and reinstall the lock rings with a rubber mallet and a socket that that fits over the end caps. No need to waste your money and clutter your tool box with that special tool.
The axle works as a removal tool and a deeper-than-average plastic bottle cap can work as the installation tool, in a pinch.
I need to go opposite direction on front hub 350 from torque to standard 110m end cap....
Where can I order that end cap removal tool for the 350 hub your website doesn't have the option to buy your tool

Hi bud, I bought a 350 hub wheel 12x148, but my bike is boost 141, I was told you have adapter for it. Just looking for part number? Ty!!!
Are the lock rings directional and if so which side faces outwards?
Hi ThunderStruckCoach, the ring has an L-shape and the flat side is facing outwards, when you have the end caps in your hand you will immediately understand how it fits together. Best regards, José, DT Swiss

Hi, I have a DT Swiss 350, 15x110 boost for Sram fork, I need to adapt it to a Fox fork: is HWGXXX0004785S the right conversion kit please? Thank you!
Do you have an axle adapter for a 350 boost 110mm axle that is 15mm to a 12mm axle and maintain the 110mm spacing? Thank you
DT Swiss please answer. Can I convert 350|6Bolt hub from 15x100mm to 12x100mm?
Do torque caps make any different when riding A M1700 wheel on a Rock Shox Pike 130mm? I mean, is the stiffness noticeable?
Do these work with the new hubs of the hybrid-wheelset H1700?
Did the conversion of the H1700 hub today, worked like a charm.
hello is necessary to do that and if i dont i have i problem or not
