They've just dropped an update with more animations and costumes, so it seems they are definitely committed to supporting and further developing the game post-release. I do think they should have released this in Early Access though. I think most people would be more accepting and understanding with regards to the short-comings than they currently are over a fully released product.
EA release would completely remove all negativity I would have at this time, yup. When you "release" a game, you are telling everyone that it's done to your vision, and that everything after that point is correcting issues unforseen, or expanding on the original concept. EA tells me, as a creator, to expect things like I'm seeing now. Release does not. :)
@@CharliePryorSteam should literally copy your statement and use it as their definition of what EA Vs Release means!
10:20 His mother died. 😥 "Let's have a party!" 🤣
PLEASEE MORE BLOCKBUSTER I LOVE IT 😍
And i love watching your videos :)
Hope you don't mind me bringing my 3 cats to the studio today, since I got kicked out of the place you rent for me 😂
Off roleplay, I don't think you are being to critical about this game, you are correct that a game that is fully released should have way more appeal and far less bugs than what is being shown.
19:37 Post Production is buggy. I found Assigning them to a different office works. But if you only have one office, try unassigning and reassigning them will get them working again.
Sometimes I get a little overwhelmed sorry boss
IT bothers me there are no roads, sidewalks or plants or anything outside.
bro a 19 years old game "the movies" was technologically so advanced than this
More uploads plzz
I played the demo of this game a while ago and it still doesn't bring back the vibe I got from 'The Movies'. I will wait some more to see if it can be as good.
I dont know, this game feel shallow. I remember The Movies. It had everything i saw here and more. I hoped this would have similar depth but oh well...
If they would rework how actors and the rest hiring works I would probably give it a go...
I would like to see script being written and when it should be casting process it giving you all interested actors with their performance rated by the director and producer you are using (low quality guys should make just approximate evaluation and then it's your choice who you pick with some newcomer can possibly be way better than some star actors).
Could be possibly to send script directly to actors (should be full list of all actors sorted by Star rating as per popularity with audience), higher fame actors would not even accept your script if you're still nobody and etc. some could come to audition if known writer and/or a high quality script produced.
Could be possible to hire actors on retention like fixed years/movies deal (this idea stolen from HA) but actors should have a standard on what lowest quality script they agree to perform.
Taking actors just for fame without auditions should be hit and miss thing.
Same goes for the rest of the staff.
Sets should be remodable keeping the equipment, but changing looks to complete different genre (lets say it takes a month to remodel into different set). Set should retain all previously used builds, so you could easily choose the variant from the used ones or create entirely new look.
Should introduce variaty of locations to be used for scenes each costing whatever amount per shoot (each reshooting should charge)
Show list of all films running in cinemas and popularity/viewing number each month. List whole year films sorted by total gross. All time list. All including competition and having info wich actors writers, producers and etc. been used. (All people should be listed in full list and available to approach with each year some retiring and some new starting their careers (some could be instant stars but would only revealed after one or few movies))
This would my kind of rough idea of really good movie studio tycoon game 🙈
It sounds like Hollywood Animal is more your thing. Mine too
@@CharliePryor yeap, but that one could improve on those things too, like actual auditions for the roles and etc. Simply bring in more realism to the game.
@@zyzla87 it bypasses that element by giving them skill ratings and role histories. Can’t have everything to real life in a game. There’s always a balance between simplicity and sophistication.
@@CharliePryor in this case I would like to see skill level on each role and genre separately with eventually revealing the max each person can reach on each. Would add a level of strategy and difficulty as well randomness. You may plan to do loads of drama and what ever roles in those, but one actors has 3* on genre, but 8* in role and vise versa with all sorts of combinations. But probably that would require hell loads of extra programming
Its very understandable that you like the theme of the game as you worked in movie industry. However, you seem to be running out of steam in terms of enjoyment. I very like watching your videos, however talking 35 minutes about things are bad, that does not seem to me to make lot of sense. You invest time into it, we want to watch a video, not listening a lot of complains. It kind of seems to me that game is absolutely not ready for content creators as you want to put as much as videos possible especially about release date and you definitely have passion as presented in other series. Don't take me wrong, thinking if it makes some sense to release videos just for sake of releasing videos. Its difficuilt as you could return to a game after some time, although other projects/games could jeoperdize this idea. Obviously, up to you what you want to do, still looking forward for your content
I appreciate the feedback. It’s never my intention to seem frustrated or negative, but as a human I do find it difficult to hide sometimes when that is the case.
I don’t imagine I’ll be playing this much longer.
You should play software ink it would be such a great series
He has played it.
@@jayflo4003 oh then imma watch
Just got notified by YT about 5mins ago awesome If you are still looking for a VFX editor or stunt coordinator I would like to put my name to it this was what I did while working for WingNut films here in NZ just saying lol
Wow this video came out 4 minutes ago. Thats a new record for me!
mine record was 2-5s (im not flexing) but 5min is good
@@ErmikGamesCZ Wow. Thats impressive! (Or i guess its kinda luck but u know what i mean)
11:33 Yeah, wasn't his birthday, but IIRC, his mom just died recently, that's all. It was nothing important, ya know. Guess you coulda handled that better, LOL. 😉😉
I wanna be your horror / scifi / gore writer :D I'll be the pryor corp steven king :D
Love your videos. I must say, Hollywood Animal seems way more interesting to me than this title.
Why do I think your re-enacting the history of the real-life Republic/RKO pictures...always scraping along making a lot of mediocre B films and a few great ones...
Scraping along making a lot of poor, low-budget movies is exactly how every single one of us start
