Hi, Can you please make a video on Saul Goodman from breaking bad and Better call Saul. He uses some really interesting phrases and words. That would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.
At 14:46 Tuco doesn't say "Oh, really?", he says "Orale", in spanish which means "OK", meaning that when Walter says Tuco got to take 2 pounds instead of 1, Tuco laughs and says "Orale", you can also say "Orale bato", "Orale wey", bato and wey can be used as dude or man.
I've been studying English for many years but struggling to understand films because they often use the expressions that we never learns in the classrooms. These kind of lessons will help me to understand them better.Thank you very much.
PPfft English is your first language, "in my reccomendend Interesting" (reccomendend??? - WTF is that, SETH!) You'd better go back to grade school then, Seth.
Just a small correction: In 14:47 I think Tuco said "Órale", not "Oh, really?". "Órale" is an expression in spanish to accept something like a deal, usually accompanied by a "pues" as "Órale, pues". It is like "done deal" :3
Truth be told, Tuco really scares the shit out of me. Badass role that man played. Ethan, you rock man seriously. This is one of my favorite channels. Thanks for the lesson. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
This is a channel that provides great information on slang and commonly used phrases that you might not know. As an english learner i feel very lucky to have discovered this channel. I wish you guys the best.
You guys make brilliant lessons," I'll give you that" ! Only two lessons on Breaking Bad are not gonna "cut it", you'll have to make more. (Sorry, just joking!!!)
Hell yeah man, this is good stuff. I teach english in China and I have often used TV shows as subject material to teach about culture and learning in context. It is as tedious as these videos, lots to uncover, a 20 minute episode can easily take up to 2 hours of class time to explain and there'll be still lots of grey areas. Also remember, just as much as the teacher the student also must make an effort to learn. Dude, great stuff, really. Awesome! Youve done an incredible job, I'll give you that!
This is my first video with this channel. I think it is a brilliant way to teach English. I have learnt English more from TV series of movies than at school or at university.
My name is Ruan, i'm from brazil , my English is good, I've been studying for a while, now i just wanna gain vocabulary, so since 12/09/2021 I started watching all the videos on the channel in sequence and leave a comment on each one. Every single day i watch how many videos i can ,this is the best chanel to learn ,and when i finish i'm gonna wach the best series like breaking bad and peaky blinders
What a great série ! It’s been my first English serie ever and it’s still my best ever. Thanks for the lesson, always interesting and useful as usual. Happy new year to all of you :) !
Minute: 14:47 Tuco says: "orale" which means "OK" (I agree I am a man who accomplish what I say no matter how tough it is) He didn't say: "oh, really?" Learn English with TV series, you got that part wrong.
You're so so talented person!!! The way you explain every word is so accessible. I'm really obsessed with your lessons... Please, don't stop making videos.. Thank you for being well-educated 😊😊☺
oh so funny the calm explanation, because that word exists on my native language pt-br, with exactly mean. I know your channel today and already love it
Thank you so much for your video! I love Breaking Bad and I've enjoyed a lot! I knew your channel recently and I have to say it is one of the best channel to learn English while enjoying yourself! I hope to see more videos like this one! Regards! :)
“Órale” or less commonly “Órales”, can have several meanings. It’s a Mexican Spanish slang meaning “okay, I agree, wow, yes, hey!, watch out, do it now, etc.”. In this scene, it means “yes”, “okay” or I’m agree. Some other examples are: Órale, wey - Hey, dude, watch out. Órale, haz tu tarea - Do your homework right now. ¿Lo compramos? -Órale - Do we buy it? -Okay Mira mi Ferrari nuevo. -Órale, está chido - Look at my new Ferrari. -Wow, it’s cool.
Man , I've a suggestion for you Could you please make a pdf which it contain the vocabulary, and some grammar so i think this it ll be an amazing idea to your subscribers
Every week I receive enough content from your channel to spend months learning from them. Your job is amazing. I would send you one million dollars if I were in a wealthy possition. Not for the moment, but thank you teacher :)
The main difference between these numbers is which syllable is stressed 13 thirTEEN [θɜ:'tin] 30 THIRty [´θɜ:ti]] Of course that Received Pronunciation (British Standard).
