I love how you can just tell that Falin is Laios' sister. From the knowledge and obsession with "nature" to them being a bit weird, but also their mannerisms. When Falin pulled the berries out of her hood it looked so much like when Laios pulled his handbook from his armor
Water walking had worn off at the time so the reason they didn't throw her staff is that, if she didn't catch it, it would have sunk to the bottom of the lake and they'd never see it again.
@@tagdavid9503 It depends on what type of wood, but since she can wave it pretty easily, it would probably float. The actual problem is that with the way and power they would have to throw it, it's very unlikely she could catch it, especially in pain, under attack from a virtually invisible enemy and with a damaged leg. Best case, they somehow make a miracle 1/100 throw/catch, she can now us her one of her spells which at best would maybe stun or stall the undine. Worst case, the staff ends up at the other end of the lake, she loses her main weapon and that would also mean that the option for her to return to town, even though it was a unlikely plan and they didn't choose it in the end, would basically mean she lost her staff So the risk wouldn't be worth it Edit: I though some more on it, even if she continued with the team, she would still have to leave her staff, meaning it would likely draw in enough water to sink, it would float away or would just be to damaged to be of use
you say "how has she fallen so far" about marcille but to be fair shes still an incredibly successful mage, shes part of one of the most skilled groups currently exploring the dungeon, the red dragon they fought was from a pretty deep floor and as you can tell by the other group that talked all that shit about how they're gonna obviously be the ones that clear it and keep getting party wiped most adventurers are actually a lot less competent than laios cause of his obsessive studying of monsters and how to deal with them
I think she meant like, how did she go from prestigious glorified awesome student to goofy no name adventurer crawling around a dirty dungeon with her weird munch crew
I was anemic in high school so i also got the "you eat the liver part" treatment as well. Thankfully i actually like liver, but it might have been a pretty bad deficiency because i always drooled just from the smell of the iron pills.
13:30 what's it to her, is that he has been pestering her about magic since he joined them. If he doesn't like magic that much, living in place that's literally made and sustained by magic is weird.
😂 22:27 Damn it Laios! Dropping an important clue casually like that without anyone picking up the important part because they everyone was focused on the situation! S P O I L E R Laios can also use magic like his sister but he just can't bother to remember the incantations or practice. He could have healed her right now!! That will come up later.
Wait, so he can actually use magic I thought he was just A normal guy. And his sister was the only one that actually had inherited any magic ability like at all. But from what you're saying. If Latos actually had an attention span, he could Basically be something like a paladin.
"How has she fallen so far" had me WHEEZING. Maybe it's just me, but Marcille seems so gay for Falin that I was hearing "A Whole New World" when the sweet bean was expanding her horizons.
Liver is a lot easier to eat if you soak it in milk first to get the overpowering taste out and then pound it into a patty for a burger or something. Finely diced it makes good pie filling too with gravy, peas, turnip and... I need to stop talking food when I'm sick. I can't keep anything down. I'm hungry. I'm going to bed.
Aside from the JoJo reference, they made a Pokemon reference in episode 1 when Laios said “A duck carrying a leek won’t just walk by.” It was a reference to Farfetch who is a Pokemon that is said to be eaten a lot with its leek being a main ingredient in cooking it
kinda the opposite actually. “A duck approaches, carrying a leek on its back” is an idiom means that something unlikely (or "far fetched") just happened, which is the pun that the pokemon was named after.
@@CodeeXD Nah, not everything, I fucking wish. But in Dungeon Meshi's case, after chapter 28 it is kind of hard to unsee some authorial intent on that direction. Not giving details to avoid spoilers, but they are the most popular pairing in the fandom for a reason.
Ok i'm like 80% sure that Falin is autistic. She talk and behave in this very specific way. And MC totaly has ADHD so i dont buy "akshuly she is just a kudere type character" or something like that.

And she asked to be in the class to study a wider field of magics. Which I seriously respect.
She peaked in High School
The first of many Marcille Ws. Let's go boysssss
When you take the theme and animation style into account, we basically got a surprise bonus episode of Little Witch Academia with this episode.
Double GOATs in one?!
Holy crap, I just noticed that, at 15:02, Falin is praising how well Laios is at imitating dogs AND IT WAS FORESHADOWING!! It was not just a joke!
In the dub they said it’s Grilling Time
and they totally grilled all over the place, truly one of the moments of all time
"Is she gonna die?"
I mean... yeah in episode 1
Can't believe it took her that long to realize that was indeed Falin.
9:07 She didn't realize that was Falin? She thought that was just a girl that happened to look like her?
She realized it was Falin but was a little afraid of getting it wrong and being bashed in the comments
Yes! Roast her! Give her what she expects!
Nah, I was surprised too, but it just made me more curious to how she would react to the confirmation!
I'm happy to hear Marcille is making you feel seen.
21:04 Laios works out because look at that core strength!! Holding Marcille like that without bending at the middle😂
fun to know that Alicia basically needs to munch on iron ingots to stay alive
Don't be silly; ingots are not for munching on!
They're suppositories.
I was anemic in high school so i also got the "you eat the liver part" treatment as well. Thankfully i actually like liver, but it might have been a pretty bad deficiency because i always drooled just from the smell of the iron pills.
this is such a good comfort anime

I still have the plant I grew in second grade. Which makes the plant over 21 years old and its still going strong!

0:07 oh my dear
Blonde elf is just like Red elf, fr fr
9:12 I'm so glad it took me a minute to realize it was her. To be fair. We only get to see her a few times.
2:10 how did you fall so far lmaooooo
You go from a theoretical to a practical field.
Marcille and Falin are so cute / adorable
Marcille backstory and hard carry, with Fallin backstory on the house.
I dont think I could ever try horse meat. Never really saw them as food animals. Know in some eastern countries theyre farmed for meat.
Pretty sure some Europian countries still eat horses
or any really cheap burger joint in the US lol
You can get horse sausage pretty easily anywhere here in north europe
I ate horse meat a few months ago, not a fan of it, it´s not too rough but the flavor is pretty weak
it´s pretty easy to get it in Portugal
Not here in Copenhagen. I’ve looked for it, too.
Falin is such a sweetheart.

Farcille gaming
26:35 - What about spinach? My mom always gave me spinach for iron.
I mean, she IS a VARY powerful sorceress.
The only thing we know she isn't good at is reviving the dead, and anything "holy".
I'ma be honest i didn't even notice it was falin until the last minute mostly because i didn't remember what falin looked like
So sad that Marcille peaked in highschool 😭
I love that Alicia relates a lot to Marcielle and Lois reminds her of her husband, that's why they top ship
nah, farcille is the top ship, but still i think marcille x laios is pretty cute
@@vulmere cause people can't just be friends without getting shipped. Go outside more
@@CodeeXD I don´t like how romance is forced so often (this show doesn´t do it though) but there´s nothing wrong with shipping
I love Liver. could eat some now
but yeah eating only that while everyone is enjoying different meat.. nope
9:10 well you dont say😂😂😂
But Liver is also high in toxions because of its function within the body.
its not that she's fallen far, it's just that.... well.... her area of expertise in magic isn't exactly the most useful for dungeon-crawling
I mean, yeah Alicia, she will die. In fact she is already dead in the present in the belly of a dragon 😂
even if she wasn´t chomped up she definitely died soon after, probably from the fumes
Yeah, what matters is if they can get to here before she’s fully digested.
Cheese
I think that is his sister lol😂
Food de livery

Man, this manga is really low in romance and I like that a lot, but I always get the gay vibes from Marcille and Falin whenever I see them interact.
Stories don't always need romance.
It gets better when you find out that Shuro was trying to court Falin, and Marcille low-key hated his ass. She terrified him. Jelly baby elf.
Yall will see gay vibes in literally everything it would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad and cringe
@@Bloodredtyrant no she didn't lmao
