What's the corrective action for trying to ruin a man's life? They wouldn't even take any questions!
Oh, boy. There's Bryan Gillis, once again contributing to LMPD's trust and PR problems.
Gillis is a detective. He knows the rules. His purposely didn't have his camera turned on.
BECAUSE HE NEVER GRABBED OR GOT DRUG BY THE CAR HE PHYSICALLY STRUCK THE VEHICLE IN AN ANGER OUTBURST AS WE HAVE ALL SEEN.
Officer should have taken a drug test
He obviously has mental issues caused by something.
All charges were dropped as they should have been. Brian Gillis brought shame to the department.
this is crazy! the cop hit the car and hurt his hand! Scottie stopped the car and got out without resisting him. I think the cop was pissed because he had to be out there in the rain!

Bad cop doing bad job now and in the past will move on again and another P D will hire him or her. Now we understand why a lot of police do not want civilians to turn their camera on because the cops don’t want their camera on either.

There is evidence, plenty of eye-witnesses at the scene, officers AND civilians, and the physical injuries to the officer. Has Scheffler even DENIED that he did it? He probably did it, the only thing that matters now is what his excuse for doing it is...
Even if he did do it, he would never incriminate himself. It's the police's responsibility to investigate and provide supporting evidence to their claims. For now it looks like there isn't enough evidence and the DA will most likely drop the charges considering this is a high profile situation. Sadly, the officer will then probably take this to civil court to save his image.

Even if he had that body camera on that footage is never going to see the light of day. Qualified immunity nothing will come from this.

LMPD is not known for having the best reputation. The cameras are there so the police can show what they do is righteous. The LMPD failed….again. Gillis should be fired for not having his body camera turned on. I live not too far from Louisville and I get spooked when their officers come near me, including in a restaurant.
