Those meals looked mouth watering & amazing!!! Arroz with gandules is rice with Pidgeon peas. Peas are like lentils. Delicious! I make Tres Leches and that looked awesome!
I ate there today! I love it. Very authentic. Just like Miami Cuban food. The pork and onions with black beans, white rice, and sweet plantains is my goto dish now. Will definitely be back soon!
It was very good! Shoot don’t remember what the sauces were. She told us but can’t remember. Worth stopping in a checking it out 😀 and trying the sauces!!
Thanks for this! Definitely going there. Used to go to a Cuban bar in Kensington, London and that was jumpin’ back then. We trust your Mom and Dad’s verdict on whether the food is good or not, stop stealing it off them 🤣🤣🤣. Are your folks retired?
Cool! That sounds da like a good place in London. Haha they enjoy great food like us! It’s fun to bring them a long so we can try more 😂! They are retired so when they come down, they like exploring with us!
Arroz con gandules is rice with green pigeon peas, it's a puertorican 🇵🇷 traditional Christmas side normally served with roasted pork or with deep fried pork cubes. It tastes similar to the dark Cuban 🇨🇺 moro rice you had with your shredded beef or ropa vieja. The flan is also a great dessert 🍨, but tres leches looks off the charts or "stinking good" as you guys say... My favorite there is the deep fried red snapper with mofongo! Bon appetit!
Wow thanks for all this info! You sure know all about the food so this is helpful as we are new to it. We absolutely loved it and all was stinkin’ good!!! Thanks for watching!
Because we don’t want to be extremely full on just one meal. Most of the time we are out and about all day so we try and get a couple restaurants in and don’t want to fill up just off one. Plus it is cheaper to share and when you do, you can get more items like appetizers and desserts. Good question!
We don’t always remember the names and sometimes people don’t want to be in a video and sometimes they do. Just depends but we have been lucky with our servers lately!
Your mother ordered Morro & Cristiano rice which is white rice cooked with black beans. Next time have her order a different side dish not the black bean soup cause she already has it in her dark rice.
Good question! It’s something we have said for a while so when we find something very, very good, we express that by saying stinkin’ good. It’s like when you are on a cooking show and the biggest compliment is to get a handshake. Saying stinkin’ good is like getting the handshake 😀
When we have our family in and they pay for the meal, we usually don’t know how much the total bill was. We want to say it was in the $70s but not sure. When we pay, we make sure we show the bill.
If the bread is soft - it is not real Cuban bread which is crunchy on the outside and soft/chewy on teh inside. I hate peoples who try to pass off a hoagie roll for Cuban bread - NOT THE SAME!

Thanks for sharing! Yeah this place is really good!
This place looks great in a super quirky town, Mount Dora. Will be visiting soon! 🍽🍹🌶😋
We hope you enjoy it! And yes, the food was fantastic!

Awesome! Glad you had a great experience. We thought the same thing and it’s also in a nice location!
I’m Cuban from Key West, my favorite is ropa vieja with Moro rice mix black bean and pork bits love it. Yuca frita dip in the garlic dip
That sounds so good! Thanks for sharing!
Cuban food is one of our favorites. I love to make Ropa Vieja!
Wow that’s awesome! Didn’t know that! We loved it! What’s your favorite?
That place looked awesome! And the food looked just as good😊 certainly a restaurant with alot of pride 💯🇳🇿👍👍
It was very good! Would go back in a heart beat. Thanks for watching!
Place & food looks so amazing! We must put this on our Mt Dora restaurants to try out in the future. By the way, what were the three sauces?
It was very good! Shoot don’t remember what the sauces were. She told us but can’t remember. Worth stopping in a checking it out 😀 and trying the sauces!!

Sounds so good! Definitely have to try the mojito next time!
That’s exactly right! Does taste like that. Thanks for sharing!
Wait is that grial a teacher at a school in florda 2 grade
She is a teacher 😀
Why do you guys share only one plate of food … instead of getting each your own plate?
Because we don’t want to be extremely full on just one meal. Most of the time we are out and about all day so we try and get a couple restaurants in and don’t want to fill up just off one. Plus it is cheaper to share and when you do, you can get more items like appetizers and desserts. Good question!
Give the excellent servers names (shout out) , so orhers can request them, they live on their tips.

Good to know! Thanks for sharing! We loved the place so will be back. It seems they have all great food there. Thanks for watching!
@@thealtemlife 👍😊
take your hat off in a restaurant wow
Wearing a hat is normal in today’s society.
Just out of curiosity is there a reason you like to say stinking good?
Good question! It’s something we have said for a while so when we find something very, very good, we express that by saying stinkin’ good. It’s like when you are on a cooking show and the biggest compliment is to get a handshake. Saying stinkin’ good is like getting the handshake 😀
Glad u liked it. We love it. Ropa Vega is old clothes. Had it at the Columbia
Sounds good, but what did your bill come to, important to most of us?
When we have our family in and they pay for the meal, we usually don’t know how much the total bill was. We want to say it was in the $70s but not sure. When we pay, we make sure we show the bill.
Our bill came to about $50 for the both of us but really could have shared it
If the bread is soft - it is not real Cuban bread which is crunchy on the outside and soft/chewy on teh inside. I hate peoples who try to pass off a hoagie roll for Cuban bread - NOT THE SAME!
Okay thanks!
You need to do more reviews away from Mount Dora and the villages
We do reviews wherever we are at that day. Look back at some of our older videos as well. We have some in all sorts of places 😀
