we just bought one and love it, its way heavier in the back than the Polairs or any other UTV. Be sure to get a windshield for it if you plan to drive faster than 20 alot. Its very well built

I should be picking up a 2012 Gator 825i EFI. I hope it's reliable. It's in very good shape. Just under 60 operating hours. No rust or dents. I'm using this mainly for plowing in the winter and trail riding. It's pretty loaded as well which is a big plus. Has heat I dk if they all do or not.

I have the JD 825i (2013 model ) It was one of the first with power steering. I would never endorse anything but you would be hard pressed to get it away from me. A little pricey but one of the best engineered machines I have ever owned. No green stuff in my yard, all red. It earns it keep every day even during the winter. How did I manage without it? (had an ATV before the Gator )

I think we have the same one at work and it brakes down often. I would recommend try to get a Kubota. we just got a RTV 1100 has a smooth ride hydraulic pto a/c does have a top speed of 25mph and slow down up hill

whats it used for? I mean, what can it do that a 4x4 truck can't and being so, how is that not a waste of money? Not hating or something, I'm just curious because I've never seen anything like that where I live...

    • @GoFastGator

Gators outshine a small 4x4 pickup because even the smallest pickups are still bigger and much heavier than a Gator. Pickups are also "three wheel drive" where the Gators have a true 4x4 setup. Also, do 30MPH across a field in a pickup vs this XUV and lemme know which one you like better. 😆

we have a new rsx860i and my dad and i say it is the best thing that we have gotten on our farm it is so nice to use and operate. The one you tested is nice but the 860 is more power better torque and you cant go wrong with having to much speed but you can not have enough.

Just an idea, if you would want to spend the extra money up front I would recommend a diesel. We have one and it is great. Also if you have it for a long time the fuel savings would pay for the extra up front cost. Great video!!

i don't know about the new vators, but I know our farm's 620i hpx has had more fuel injection problems than it's worth. the throttle body leaks fuel into the crankcase, so we always have to put a little amount of fuel in and change the oil. also its been to the dealership four ti es in the three years we've owned it.

I've heard mules are more reliable. We have 3010 I believe and besides the stuff the previous owners screwed up but once we got it fixed it's worked perfect for us. I've never owned a gator so I don't know how true the statement but my uncle runs an equipment rental place and they say the gators break down more and the mules are more reliable

Polaris is junk. The farming work at has both a gator and ranger and the ranger is always broke, mainly engine issues. The gator is the go to machine.

Nice machines but boy are they expensive... a used pickup is cheaper (if not handier)...
Used ones aren't so terribly bad on price...
    Later! OL J R :)
