My opponent tried this on ranked and he got mollywopped by blue Kayn. IIRC he kept on fighting to get form early and just camped bot lane to remove the 4 minute timer on Shadow Assassin because the enemy bot lane was double ranged. That Kayn was Shadow Assassin at lvl 7 with Ghostblade and Brutalizer, Darius had no chance of getting anything.
Well he is doing this in silver.
