Sorry to hear about your suffering dude, I truly hope you find your support network and are able to come past it. 10 years PTSD, fishing has saved my life. You are a big part of that recovery with your videos. Keep it up and best of luck.
Spot on lads, good to see you back Carl, very brave to share issue with panic attacks, I'm quite a bit older than you and earlier this year suffered from same thing, not easy to talk about as you just feel a wush, like you I've got my head around it now, look forward to future videos this year, tight lines lads
Talking so openly about what you've been through, and the panic attacks, will help -and resinate with - a lot of people I'm sure. I did the overwork-burnout ten years ago and, like you, had multiple and rather strange illnesses. As an ex-racing cyclist I thought I could handle anything, but I've discovered that mental stress is totally different to physical stress and that panic attacks seem to be a warning sign that I'm not coping mentally. I hope you can get back to full fitness very soon and it's heartwarming to know you had such great support. Welcome back:-)
Dear Carl, it is very brave to tell about your panic attacks here. And very good to hear that you are on a good way to handle them. Nothing to be ashamed off!!! Those who call this weak are so themselves. Theres a saying: when you admit that you are a coward, you are brave!!!! Keep on fishing!!! You do a great Job!!!! Best wishes from Germany!!! 👋
Great to see you back Carl, and I admire your open and honest comments on what you’ve been going through. So many people bottle it up, and others don’t recognise or understand what they are going through. One of the best ways to recover is to talk and feel supported.....here’s to the future, enjoy your fishing!
Just seeing the lad Alex and how he grown over the years is like reliving your own years. Video formats. For my own boy teaching him the same. Must be great to have a brother. Blessingtons Carl
Great to hear you are better Carl (although you posted this some time ago!). Big respect for sharing your struggles so honestly. Your videos have been a source of inspiration to get back into fishing after a 20 year hiatus! Keep up the great work lads.
Glad you're ok Carl, followed you from the start, try and switch off as much as possible, you have a long life ahead of you, time for everything and your missus is delightful, you're lucky.
Great to see you back Carl. Great video and some great catches. I got married 4 years ago now and I also wore those carp cufflinks. Once again great video and great to see you back. Tight lines
So pleased to see you guys together doing what you do best. It’s so rare so see carpers genuinely sharing the action as you did on the quarry, something perhaps pretty much unique to brothers. Good to see you have taken control of your own future now ; hopefully you can now control the pressures on your work and private life and keep enjoying it and producing your quality videos. The quarry looks a fascinating place. Good luck to you guys!
Hey James! Thanks for the comment, Alex and I often share our bites, otherwise we end up having quite unfair sessions where we both try our best but only one of us catches if the swims are way better than the other for example! Cheers for the support :) Carl
It is SO good and so important that you talk openly about panic attacks... I've been suffering from those on and off for many years and there can be a stigma attached to them. Glad you are better and, if you haven't been told already, breathing techniques and meditation can work wonders. All the best.
In the words of Mr Blair"big ups" for sharing such a major part of your private life. As a person that has juggled with anxiety, depression and panic attacks in my own life I realise that this takes a major pair of kahunas. I wish you all the best with trying to manage your own issues.
Support and fishing solves many things. Good on you chap. I've been there. I remember feeling similar years ago and my parents taking me on holiday to a venue with a lake. I hadn't fished for 10 years and just seeing the lake, millpond still, one warm summers evening brought the passion back. I picked up a rod the next day and never let go. Carp brought me back. Will never forget that day. Or the carp.
Great to see you back, I have severe social anxiety and therefore have hypnotherapy to help my panic attacks it really helps. I know how you feel better mate just try to keep your head up and stay strong
nice to have you two back. your a very brave lad Carl, nicely handling life's ups and downs. You are a grown-up :) That carp caught stalking with bread was my absolute fav moment.
Exceptionally good video in so many ways guys, thanks. Good to see you're not only dealing with but growing from the challenges you've been facing Carl, well done mate.
Great to see you back on the Tube Carl and glad you are feeling better than ever. Panic attacks are very scary, i'v been there myself last year so can relate. Having good friends and family are the key to understanding and controlling them. Great Vid, well done all of you, can't wait to see the next ones hopefully not too far away.
As always carl and alex are great role models for youngsters today. Watched you pair grow up on UA-cam lol. Really inspirational and proof theres hope for youth of today. Your parents are very lucky and ive said it before they must be super proud. Take it easy lads and fish safe 👍🤝
Great video. Carl, I am especially happy to hear that life for you is better than ever. Keep learning techniques that help you feel your feet are firmly placed. Having close ties to those you care for will make for a smoother ride. Looking forward to more videos from you two.
Thought I recognised that countryside - I started fishing after we moved to Cambridgeshire when I was 10 (1985). While the countryside wasn't much to write home about I realise now how lucky I was to have so much good fishing around me, albeit I didn't have the money to spend on much and we invariably caught bugger all! My last two sessions when I lived up there were on the Cam and I had my best ever net of fish on a river (about 60lb of mainly bream plus eels, perch, small chub etc), and my PB pike which was about 10lb. Happy days! Also, very brave to talk about panic attacks. I started suffering them a few years ago after going self employed and moving to another part of the country and taking on a bigger house. Then, just a month after buying my first ever house with my wife, my contract was canned. It's a horrible place to be when you're already not feeling too great and it can seem like they'll never end. I was in a very deep seeming hole, but things worked out in the end and being outside as much as possible did me a lot of good. Now, a year on, things are very much more settled and I've not had an attack in quite a long time. Glad to hear you're on a much more even keel now and loving life again, and it's important to remember that it's OK to not be OK. Oh and having a friend or friends who are there for you, just to talk or even just ask how you are, is worth it's weight in gold and more.
Hey Carl.. Glad to see you better mate. I've suffered with anxiety for twenty odd years and I feel ya pain. Life sometimes throws us a curve ball but doing what we love helps. Glad you have a great friend to help you through your difficult time. Would love a session with you some day, look after yourself. 👍
Thanks for being a brave man, and putting the issue of mental illness out there to people, young and old alike. I have anxiety attacks every now and then, and agree with you, they can be a bit debillitating. I take tablets for it now,and it has cut the attacks drastically. Top respect to you fella.
Having been not at all well for over a year now, with no fishing or anything pleasant, I can fully relate to the hard time you had. Glad you got well again. Congratulations on that. I still have a long way to go. But will hopefully get well again too. Nice video again, boys.
YES! A proper Carl and Alex fishing video (although Alex did a great job of holding down the fort)! Carl, thank you for bringing up your panic attacks, that is a very brave thing to do, I have agoraphobia and it's good to hear that there's a light at the end of the tunnel. You guys rock! Now, come on 100K subs.
Great to catch up on your fishing Carl & that you are feeling much better. As you say - fishing, friends, family & fresh air are a great combination to a happy & healthy life! Look forward to the next instalment! 👍
Glad you’re feeling your self again mate, suffered badly from anxiety and panic attacks so I know how hard it is, good to see you back doing what you love, you look really happy! Keep it up ❤️
Nice one Lads...No apologies required...Sometimes life sucks, good to see you back Carl. Looking forward to following more adventures of you and your brother.

Great to see you back lads!! Another great, polished video - editing as always superb 👍. Glad your back to full health Carl its so important, fingers crossed you continue in that way and i def look forward to seeing more vids from you both soon!! Nick
What a great video! I've been suffering from anxiety and panic attacks myself for some time now, but it got really, really worse in the last months and weeks. So I'm glad to see that I'm not alone with this and it can be overcome!
Absolutely! Stay strong man, and know that it's not your fault, take care of yourself and make decisions for your health not anyone else's benefit. Things will get better too if you share these things with friends or family, being honest and having support will help. x
Glad you are getting on top of your mental health issues Carl... you and Alex's videos are great entertainment and I find your honest normal approach refreshing and almost therapeutic to watch. Thank you
Well done for talking about your panic attacks issue. I'm sure i'm not alone in saying that it's hard to be a bloke and talk openly about such things. Usual amazing quality of filming and editing.

Thank you mate. Yes they are indeed. Amazed... haven't had a panic attack since having some therapy, working on what it was that caused them when I was young and feeling supressed old feelings safely, knowing I am actually safe, and reading this book called 'the anxiety cure' ... opening up about it changed my life, and so glad people talk more about it these days, the less shame around it the better.
Yet another great video. Every one you do is always so fantastic. Truly inspirational. Glad you are now better after a crappy time. Interested in seeing you restoring the secret lake. Im a joiner and chippy so if you ever need any help with stuff down there I would be very happy to come and help you out. Keep up the great work and the fabulous vids. All the best. Mark the Chippy

Superb.! First video I have seen, thanks also for sharing your ups and downs, my daughter (14) has PTSD and suffers attacks as well... You are right, fishing does help and the fresh air and wildlife moves you forward.
