How many times has Bonnie died in this show? And how many times has someone legit died for her as well? She was literally going to let herself die here to protect someone who once upon a time killed her mother and tried to kill her. The amount of mercy and forgiveness in her heart? Having such a pure heart that even when Stefan hurt her deeply and made her want to hate him- she ended up forgiving him anyway? She's too good for this show and the writers who have abused her.
Bonnie seriously deserved her perfect ending with Enzo. I cried when Enzo died. She deserves happiness as she literally risks everything for her friends.
Damon isn't afraid of going to hell, that is hell... and he's not being selfish. He's already dead and believes he'll remain dead because he already killed himself. Bonnie is only trying to stop Damon's soul from getting fed on. He has a lot of faith in her, which is the reason he holds on. He lets go when he realizes she's not strong enough and it's killing her. He's willing to let Cade eat his soul so long as Bonnie lives. She and Damon still believed he'd be stuck in that world even had Bonnie stopped him because he's dead. They didn't expect his soul to get knocked back into his body. Damon cares as much about his soul as he does about his life. This scene is much like the scene with Seline and the girl that was working for Alaric. Her soul is Cade's to feed on, Seline fed on her body.

Strength has been Bonnie's journey since the beginning of the show, and I love it. I love her. I've loved her since the moment she went up against Klaus in S2. She's not fighting for Damon's life here because he's already dead. She's fighting to protect his soul. They didn't expect his soul to get knocked back into his body once they killed Cade. He only did because they didn't destroy hell. The moment Damon came back, I knew someone took Cade's place. That's the thing about S8. It's not about Damon's life anymore. His life doesn't matter if his soul ends up in hell. That's been their story direction since they introduced the hell stone... and Cade is the same basic concept. That's why Damon's soul gets knocked back into his body. Bonnie started fighting for him after the prison world because she saw that he was unlike Kai, that his soul was worth saving. Damon's death is different from Georgina's in the fact that when he dies, he goes directly to Cade because he was working for him. Cade sucks up Georgina after Seline kills her. Here, Damon kills himself to get sucked up by Cade. They're simply showing what Bonnie meant when she said Damon is different from Kai, there's actually hope for him. Kai can't be redeemed because he feels no remorse. That's why he takes Elena's coffin, and they lead into this. It's Kai's soul vs Damon's soul.
I love the music theme when cade dies, if anyone has the song title it would be cool. Before bonnie it was "I hate damon" now it's "don't touch my best friend" 🤣

Damon was always stefan's world before turning and after and in afterlife.
Bonnie was literally everything and everyone in this show . She was the strongest Witch . She died became a vampire . Then came back a witch . She became the gatekeeper in the spirit realm and the anchor to the other side . She became the huntress . Killed Cade and became the devil herself

Its basically localized altered space. Like the other side all existing in the same universe even the malivore. They're just pockets. Its impressive in the vampire diaries world. But outside its midteir .

Strength has been Bonnie's journey since the beginning of the show, and I love it. I love her. I've loved her since the moment she went up against Klaus in S2. She's not fighting for Damon's life here because he's already dead. She's fighting to protect his soul. They didn't expect his soul to get knocked back into his body once they killed Cade. He only did because they didn't destroy hell. The moment Damon came back, I knew someone took Cade's place. That's the thing about S8. It's not about Damon's life anymore. His life doesn't matter if his soul ends up in hell. That's been their story direction since they introduced the hell stone... and Cade is the same basic concept. That's why Damon's soul gets knocked back into his body. Bonnie started fighting for him after the prison world because she saw that he was unlike Kai, that his soul was worth saving. Damon's death is different from Georgina's in the fact that when he dies, he goes directly to Cade because he was working for him. Cade sucks up Georgina after Seline kills her. Here, Damon kills himself to get sucked up by Cade. They're simply showing what Bonnie meant when she said Damon is different from Kai, there's actually hope for him. Kai can't be redeemed because he feels no remorse. That's why he takes Elena's coffin, and they lead into this. It's Kai's soul vs Damon's soul.
I love the music theme when cade dies, if anyone has the song title it would be cool. Before bonnie it was "I hate damon" now it's "don't touch my best friend" 🤣

I am one of the minority who wasnt into love triangle drama at all. Romance wise i only liked klauscaroline coz they intriguing unlike the main love stories. Damon was always stefan's world before turning and after and in afterlife.
