We just bought the California Mine along with the Arizona and Bachelor claims outside of Republic Washington. We have the rock crusher with a smaller crusher (for the time being) ready to go with the shaker table not so ready because of four to five feet of snow here in our parts. Our plan is to build a shed around the shaker table and heat the shed and the water source but we keep getting dumped on - I mean feet of snow at a time. It's all keeping up let alone making headway. The property with the mine awaits spring.
Bit of trivia, in WW2 some gold mines were closed because the government deemed it nonessential and counterproductive to wartime manufacturing efforts. Gold mining often didn't resume after the war for various reasons. Sometimes because they were already borderline profitable/unprofitable, and it wasn't considered worth it to restart them. Some were deep mines that required regular maintenance, like water pumping and shoring, so they were unsafe by the end of the war.
Some of the main reasons for the many mines to be shut down on the Georgia Alabama gold fields. Some of the most profitable mines are now under Southern Company hydro lakes, and they own all the mineral rights Thanks
I wonder how well it would work if you put the generator 'into' the Shaker Table and use Engine Vibration for the table motion requirements. This would work particularly well with a Hydraulically Driven Electric Generator so you can set the Engine Speed that you need for the Shaker Table. I may have that last part wrong but you see what I am talking about. Use the waste from one system to enrich the next.
So much better than those Gold Rush shows. No producers to create faux drama and danger. Not that you don't face any danger in what you are doing, but those shows take it to a comically hyperbolic level. Thanks for the detailed explanation of the ptocess.

Great video idea Jason! It's almost like a greatest hits of MBMM but shows the chronology and reason behind all the steps involved in the modern gold mining process! Love it! 😉
I was thinking a generator and electric winch but I think you could be right, if you have ores at different stages the weight of the buckets going over the cliff should offset the weight of pulling up from the mine.
At the least you could use the weight of the ore buckets to bring the empty buckets back up to the mine entrance. In fact anything that weighs less than the ore can be brought up like this. Fred Dibnah used to take down chimneys like this. When he wasn’t filling the bottom with tyres and lighting them on fire with diesel that is!
You should think about getting a small chain hoist on a boom or a jin pole for the back of the truck. Lifting everything on and off by hand gets really old. Harbor freight had nice hitch lifts pretty cheap.
Around 21:20 put some kind of platform next to the crusher so the guy doesnt have to bend over for the ore for hours on end - will add to efficiency and reduce back pain for the poor guy :)
It might be hard work but it certainly looks like fun. I've never looked for gold, living in Philly all my life, but watching these videos gives me a case of gold fever. 🤒💰Stay safe guys and good luck !🤞

Gawd, I really want to grab some of those rocks to put in my polisher. I know quartz is very common, but I've only ever seen a vein like that once in person.
Looks like a classic slate belt saddle reef deposit you are working on. The high grade zones are the thick hinge zone rolls in the anticlines and plunging rolls on the steeper fold limb.
Jason between you & Dan Hurd when you readily see the gold on the shaker table, why not use the snuffer bottle to suck it up. Why look for it twice & risk losing some. Also have ideas to help you hauling muck in & out of the mines or down hill to the truck.
Always wear a mask when processing anything with quartz or silicates. If not, you will get permanent irreversible pulmonary silicosis, which can be fatal. Silica in the lungs is a game ender. Stay safe. 😊

Buy a Badlands power winch from Harbor freight to haul up your carts. 12 volts ,mount it on your truck or an anchored stand dude.
Looks like a classic slate belt saddle reef deposit you are working on. The high grade zones are the thick hinge zone rolls in the anticlines and plunging rolls on the steeper fold limb.
buy a 12v winch to raise buckets up wooden slide or a small 110v or 240v hoist.
Stay safe. 😊
good job, i am impressed with your passion and your hard work to match the passion
I’m so very jealous of your day job. I live Bend Oregon and I’m nowhere near close enough to do this sort of thing on a regular basis. Guess I’ll keep looking for the tumalo gold
Hey I would like to thank you for sharing all these videos man they're really entertaining and keep up the good work I would love to get some of those tailings maybe do a little powder and get some flakes out I see some of those spots that remind me of Good times back when I was growing up.

Watching this is very relaxing. LOL. Love this channel!

At 67 yrs young don't think I'll be doing that, but maybe in .my last life I was a 49 er.
Thank you.
Really cool too see this system. I used too live in whatcom County, now okanogan County.
Was wondering if you send your taillings off to chemical processing ?
Idea being , every step finds gold , only stop the steps when gold will not pay for itself .
Thanks again
Just a little bit of snow there. 😊

The electric furnace looks like it could contain lots of gold from evaporation, crush it into dust and melt it when it's time to get a new one.
Gold evaporates?
You should build a portable platform so he doesn't have to stand so close to the edge of the truck bed
Outstanding, been waiting on this one.
Glad you like it!
I think the boys should be wearing masks for the dust. I like the hammer hill
Thanks for the comment. Glad you like the hammer mill
Ive been around mines of all kinds , I was a welder for thirty five years so you can imagine what ive welded on and fabricated , but I would love to be on a gold mine ......
Sounds like old mate here is keen for a job.
👍
Too much material for the amount of water going down the sluice. No idea how much gold is going though the sluice, but it could be most of it.
NGL. That mining setup is pretty slick
There's a place in Southeastern Oklahoma I know of, that has a 200 ft quartz mountain if you will give or take and the whole thing is quartz white quartz. No host rock this quartz
The way the screen was installed seemed like a launch ramp at every point. If the screen was rotated 180, it would create a catch point and eliminate the launches.
Have you ever looked at a Buchner Funnel.?
I've been really looking forward to seeing more of the mine, and hoping you've been collecting footage all spring and summer.
