basically richard is being condescending and cruel to nathan as usual (they’re meeting for the first time after a year, though nathan has been keeping up with richard’s comings and goings through richard’s brother (like richard choosing not to attend havard). richard is now into nietzsche and philosophy which nathan doesnt get. the line before the song starts is richard saying “no one else does revolting things like this” after nathan tries to stop him from leaving. the rest of the song is just nathan simping (angrily??) lol. by the end of the song richard says he’s changed his mind and that nathan can join him for his plans that night (setting fire to a warehouse). when nathan protests, richard is like “..i guess you never wanted to spend time with me..” so of course nathan gives in and richard tells him what to get before kissing him and asking “how does it feel? aren’t you happy?”
