for all the non german speakers Magnificent as the stars Made out of fire and water, out of wind and stone Created in the darkness and lit up by the first light A spark of life, and the whole world blooms up all the way up to the sky The Silmaril crosses the sky more magnificent than the stars Upon us shines the Silmaril which outshines the stars Behold, elven people behold and ponder We fill up the earth with light and life sprit We follow the rays that the morning shows us Made out of dreams, light as a feather protected by all the gods The Silmaril crosses the sky more magnificent than the stars Upon us shines the Silmaril which outshines the stars A spark of life, and the whole world blooms up all the way up to the sky The Silmaril crosses the sky more magnificent than the stars Upon us shines the Silmaril which outshines the stars Behold, elven people behold and ponder
A touching tribute to the star Earendil... which is not a star, it's literally the immortal human warrior Earendil, father to Elrond and Elros, sailing through the sky on a ship of mithril and glass, with a Silmaril worn upon his brow, the light of which outshines the stars.
I LOVE "The Silmarillion." It makes me so happy that Oonagh has created so many songs in tribute to it, and written in Elvish, too! I thought it was weird at first that the video's setting is in a different culture from what I would've expected, but after a few repeat listens, now I think it's cool. Not sure about Feanor and his sons, but I bet the Valar would approve of this song :-).
I always imagine if she makes a song related to Anfauglith , it should be filmed in the Southern Moroccan Sahara with tribal/boho vibe. Though for this video, filming it in one of the northern Mediterranean cities of Morocco would have been much better for Telerin or Chefchaouen for Alqualonde precisely
Why does this take place in some random town? I don't get it? (Also I wish they would act out the cool stuff they're singing about- like in the Orome video even get a bunch of extras to walk very slowly on a starry night!)
Because the people in the story who saw the Silmaril in the sky for the first time were living in a humble, decaying town much like this. This song is an expansion of the moment in the Silmarillion when Maglor first sees Eärendil. He was living in the ruined fortress of Amon Ereb, surrounded by enemy armies. He had committed atrocities, and been told in no uncertain terms that because of those atrocities no one was coming to help him. Then Eärendil rose as a sign that wasn't true. The song is about unexpected joy amid hard circumstances. It's about grace being given to someone who thought they were unforgivable, and hope coming to those who had given up hope. She *is* acting out what she is singing about.
Bien que tus canciones sean dedicados a la pachamama o diosa madre que nos da todo, pero sin faltar el respeto a pachakamak DIOS PADRE. Esta buena o sumaj sus canciones. saludos o napayuyki.
I really like this song, , for the first time - ok! but the further you look, the more strange it gets. Feeling as if it was forbidden to shoot and, as a result, made a clip from what they managed to shoot on film
+GoofyTop10 This is a fantasy language. The language she sings called Elvish. Because film Lord of the Rings is a term you sure there is also spoken partly Elvish
Beautiful girl, beautiful song. But. This video is so fucked up.xD Anyone noticed that the video during the second refrain is exactly the same to that's in the first one? xD
Every song Oonagh sings is a classic. She is so beautiful inside and out. Her singing is spiritual and healing.
for all the non german speakers
Magnificent as the stars
Made out of fire and water, out of wind and stone
Created in the darkness and lit up by the first light
A spark of life, and the whole world blooms up
all the way up to the sky
The Silmaril crosses the sky
more magnificent than the stars
Upon us shines the Silmaril
which outshines the stars
Behold, elven people
behold and ponder
We fill up the earth with light and life sprit
We follow the rays that the morning shows us
Made out of dreams, light as a feather
protected by all the gods
The Silmaril crosses the sky
more magnificent than the stars
Upon us shines the Silmaril
which outshines the stars
A spark of life, and the whole world blooms up
all the way up to the sky
The Silmaril crosses the sky
more magnificent than the stars
Upon us shines the Silmaril
which outshines the stars
Behold, elven people
behold and ponder
Thanks!

Woher hast du die Übersetzung von den Stellen in Quenya?

Wow... Oonagh en México... Gran cantante y su música hermosa... 🎶💞
Her beauty, her smile, her enchantment is irresistible...
I'm very amazed that somebody took the time to write a song in Quenyan, and even more that it makes sense and sounds good.
Dude, not sure what you're listening to, but that's German she's speaking...
@@jlv61560 Chorus is Quenyan
@@jlv61560 Quenya is a language that JRRT wrote. It is spoken by elves in LOTR and other things that he wrote.
@@jlv61560 the chorus is in elvish
@@emg7350 Yes, I know that, of course. But she (Oonagh) is singing in German.
she is very beautiful... beautiful voice and song

Ellise Raghavan I think Maglor would like it ;)
Honestly, I'm not sure where this is but it looks closer to how I've been imagining Telerin cities like Alqualonde.

My God, she doesn't cease to amaze me! She's wonderful with a great voice and stunningly seductive beauty... und ich liebe sie so sehr!
Just arrived here from r/tolkienfans. She is lovely - not seductive, but enchanting with a smile that shines like the morning sun, gentle and warm.
@@mcnichollsdj and she doesn't have to try as hard as others do to have that natural beauty while singing and dancing.

Feanor has changed a lot in Halls of Mandos...
So ein schöner song
Is this referencimg Tolkien? I'm not very well read on his work so I'm curious
Lots of Oonagh's songs are about the Silmarillion! You should read it!!!
Yup. It’s about the silmarils, 3 super-shiny gemstones made by Fëanor. Those stones, and Fëanor’s attitude, caused a *lot* of drama and suffering.
Sehr schön.
beautyful and nice music i love that make me power strong and everthing be suceesful

This is a fantasy language. The language she sings called Elvish. Because film Lord of the Rings is a term you sure there is also spoken partly Elvish
+GoofyTop10 Quenya, by JRR Tolkien! It's talking about the heavens, and light, and that's all I get.
+GoofyTop10 It's her native tongue of Old German. A language very few now know how to speak.
