_"I once convinced a woman that I was Kevin Costner and it worked because I believed it"_ - Saul Goodman, Breaking Bad S3E11
Yo, i checked it and you're goddamn right.
That wasnt Kevin?
Part of the joke is also Bob somewhat resembles costner
i remember that
Why are you spoiling on a season 1 reaction video
It's one of the oldest rules of drama: if you see a character (especially a guest character if you're watching a TV show) with an unexplained cough, that character will be dead at the end of the movie or episode. It's as much a sure thing as if a female character is seen vomiting, she's going to turn out to be pregnant.
Just like in Video Games. RIP Arthur Morgan
You're right. I saw Walter White cough in BB S1E1, and sure enough 5 seasons later, dead as a doorknob
@@Hexon66 wait, that's an exception
So you're saying Jane was a man? :O
Better call Saul: “B…as in Belize is a nice place”
Breaking bad: “You could always send him[hank] on a trip to Belize” these fucking shows man, no detail to small
I think Saul is suicidal
And the kevin costner thing
Nice catch!
Also, his story about Kevin Costner, referenced in Breaking Bad
ua-cam.com/video/dNnj2lLTojE/v-deo.html
I remember someone on reddit asking who is Billy, because he heard Billy's, and not Belize.
"We literally have 10 minutes"
Time left: *17 minutes*
These are female minutes.
@@galier2 oh shit LMAO
I can finally say, God I love Howard. This season finale "felt" uplifting but it's the most depressing shit ever. I also realize that at the beginning we were all asking for Jimmy to become saul and at the end of the season we felt like shit when slipping jimmy showed up.
The ending fits, just in case they didn't get a season 2
Season 2 was confirmed before season 1 aired if I remember.
Fits but we still be having too much questions. What happens with kim for example
Yeah bro season 1 was my favourite till I watched season 5 🙏
@@shugaroony But was it renewed before they finished writing the season? I doubt it.
To be honest, I do find that to be slightly annoying. It kind of (very slightly) hurts season 2 for me because it seems to set up a much faster transformation into Saul and season 2 is like, no we're taking this slow, there's going to be a lot of back and forth. Which I think is a great approach, but the end of this season is a bit misleading.
Howard is the most underrated character in the history of BB or better call Saul
Yes. Im glad im not the only one who noticed. One of the most forthright and consistently decent characters in the entire series. Doesn't deserve the hate he gets.
Especially in later seasons, I'm consistently impressed in the range Howard's character has, and how well Patrick Fabian plays the role.
@@soaringgrasslands3148 is like skyler
This
@@soaringgrasslands3148 not only that, but Howard isnt just a static side character either, we actually see dramatic development in his character even though he doesn't get a ton of screen time. That's amazing.
Great reaction as usual ladies. It's funny that you asked if Chuck was right about Jimmy the whole time? In the previous reaction, I commented that I believe that Chuck's lack of faith in Jimmy is what ultimately turned Jimmy into Saul Goodman. To be sure, people are responsible for their choices, but we can't deny that others influence our trajectory in life as well.
I strongly believe that if Chuck had faith in Jimmy, Jimmy would've stayed on the right path...albeit he would've still been Slipping Jimmy to some extent, he wouldn't have turned fully to the dark side. Chuck might have been right about who Jimmy was, but the irony is that it's Chuck's betrayal that caused Jimmy to become far worse than even Chuck could've ever imagined.
Chuck is like his own self fulfilling prophecy.
....... he defecated through a sun roof
It's 50/50. Even before before Chuck told Howard to not hire Jimmy, he already pulled Slippin Jimmy a couple of times in this season. Who's to say his "end justify the means" mentality wouldn't just keep getting bigger and bigger.
@@zrifepsych This. He's been Slippin' Jimmy since he was a kid, even when he thought he had his brother's approval. His brother's rejection didn't change him to be a liar and a thief. His brother's rejection was an excuse to allow him to continue doing it. He made an attempt at a more honest life but his problem was that he wasn't doing it for himself.
@@zrifepsych Nah, I think even slipping Jimmy had his limits. You could see how decent he was, despite cutting corners. He wanted Chuck's approval and you can't deny that Chuck's betrayal accounted for how Jimmy transformed into Saul Goodman. Do you think it's a coincidence that he changed his name? It symbolizes Jimmy truly breaking bad.
You didn't notice the reference to breaking bad in this episode. He admitted he convinced someone he was Kevin Costner when he was trying to convince Walt to buy the laser tag instead of the car wash.
Belize as well is a throwback to BrBa
After your El Camino review I went back and watched your Breaking Bad reactions from the very beginning. Now I'm all up to date with your Better Call Saul reactions. I honestly love this channel, can't get enough of your content.
Yes!!!We are getting two BCS episodes in a week. I am so happy lol
FINALLY!
Kevin Costner line cracks me up
The Kevin Costner line is from breaking bad if you wanna look it up for a laugh
Awesome season finale reaction, Lola and Milena.
It's been a pleasure watching your BCS journey so far through out season one.
SE1 of "Better Call Saul" takes place in 2002. { 6 years before BB }
SE1 thru SE6 of "Breaking Bad" takes place between 2008 - 2010.
"we literally have 10 minutes" ... video goes on for 17 more minutes. love it lol
Another small detail easy to miss, he wears Marco's ring in Breaking Bad.
I didn't notice that until my mom mentioned it lmao, i didn't even remember that saul had a ring in bb
"there's still a long way to go btwn this and breaking bad"
Yup. Breaking Bad starts in september 2008, season 1 of BCS is still in spring/early summer of 2002.
And season 6 of BCS will still only be set in 2005
Marco's room is the same set as Jesse's basement. You can even see the poles where they held Krazy 8
My favorite scene in the show:
When Jimmy is walking to the interview, he's facing right, to the past like the half-dollar coin. When he should be facing right, to the future.
It wasn't about the money...scamming those people and douchey at that, it's like a drug for them. The thrill of it and the fact that they were great at it. Marco was Jimmy's best mate in that he understood him and is the same in a way. It's heartbreaking to see what Jimmy goes through and how he kept it all to himself-nobody knew how he cried when his office dream was gone. how his closest friend, the one that understood him so well died and he's just back to taking phone calls in a cheerful manner as if nothing happened. Going back to accept the job, nobody knew what he went through and he doesn't say.
I have a half dollar. He really faces left/west. The thing is, no one could really tell or memorize where Kennedy was facing. Obviously much difficult nowadays with easy access to Google.
I think you missed the point of what Marco said when you said "That's your issue", HE WAS NOT TALKING ABOUT GETTING MORE MONEY! This is what happens when you talk over the dialogue and not listen. Marco told Jimmy he didn't need extra money, he wanted that feeling of the thrill again. He was clearly going through medical issues, all he cared about was having a good time before it happens as we saw at the end.
I wonder if the Charles Manson reference is a deliberate nod to (if anyone remembers) Bob Odenkirk’s hilarious impressions of Manson in skits on the short-lived “Ben Stiller Show” in the early 1990s?
Omg I can't wait for You two reacting to the next seasons
It’s a bit of a low key ending for a finale, certainly compared to something like Breaking Bad but don’t worry ladies, this is a slow burn and it gets better and better and better.
Realistically its because of the fact it was the first season. First seasons have to be written and shot before the audience ever sees it. Its a huge expense that needs to be paid for before the first reviews or ratings are in. Shows often "hedge their bets" for the first season. They leave the first season off in a place that's not bad for a series finale incase they can't get renewed for season 2.
Chucks betrayal of Jimmy is heartbreaking and infuriating to me. This show is so well written and acted. I believe Chuck tolerates his little brother in a sense and actually thinks of himself as superior in every way to Jimmy. Also I get the sense that Chuck is somewhat jealous of Jimmy and actually perceives him as a sort of threat to his holding dominion over Jimmy. Chuck actually is slowly realizing that he has underestimated Jimmy his whole life. I think Chuck is actually jealous of Jimmy's ease and charisma with people. He doesn't have the people skills that Jimmy naturally has and he hates that. He thinks things just come easy for Jimmy and he's afraid that Jimmy will eventually pass him by in his achievements! Anyway I enjoyed your reactions. Have a fun and safe vacation!
Look Walt, I once convinced a girl that I was Kevin Costner🤣
These two have no idea what they're in for and what's to come....
The guy they're scamming wouldn't have a "normal" half dollar in his pocket to compare the "rare" one to. That's just because half dollar coins are not commonly used (an obvious fact to the American audience, maybe not to anyone else). They're kind of rare, but not rare enough to be really valuable.
Ladies, as of this episode you have 53 episodes { you've watched 10 } left to go.
Not sure when you'll be back from vacation and start SE2 { with two episodes a week } but if you start up reactions again by lets say the week of Sept 26th - Nov 2nd you'll be caught up by March 30, 2022.
*SE6 is set to premiere sometime in 2022
min 6:05, literally i see you for that comments. B as better call saul and breaking bad ajajaj i love you soo much i don't see it. I adore how can u get this details the fisrt time looking the serie
I don't know if you remember but, in Breaking Bad, Jimmy/Saul tells to Walter that he made a girl believe that he was Kevin Costner so that was the girl x)
Oh man I was soooo waiting for your reaction to this episode!!
It gets better and better you'll see 😎
It gets better and better with each season. you're in for a ride ladies!
6:03 that’s where Mike took a trip to in breaking bad
Oh my God you are absolutely right, Mike is like bad guy Iroh
'Everyone fucking loves you' was my exact response to that scene!
Ernie is my favorite character.
Have been binging y'all's reactions on this, loving your reviews, can't wait for season 2 😌
Our prayers have been answered
In the end, i was like ''LET HIM COOK!''
Justo estaba pensando en ustedes hace un momento y apenas me llegó la notificación.🥺
Paka, paka, paka, paka en mi caballo..
Best villain.
Jimmy is funny as hell when he scams people... Not to mention it is entertaining.
"We literally have ten minutes"
15 minutes remaining in the video... XD

Me: *sees 16 minutes remaining on the video*
Oh maynnnn im so readdy for morrreeee!!!!!

*Salamanca doesn’t show up in this series at all, I’m sorry*
Enjoy your vacation!
Oh Jimmy, you should have taken the job. Yep, he lost his motivation to do the right thing & he's free to be slippin Jimmy with a law license.

Remember how Saul Goodman bragged in Breaking Bad about convincing a chick he was Kevin Costner? Welp, you just saw it.
I suggest you a very special series from a completely different culture. You should definitely watch this. It's a really special drama series. You can find it if you search for "Ethos" on Netflix. Its original name is "Bir Başkadır". You will not regret it. Give a chapter a chance.
Beginning of Better call Saul: Saul Goodman! 🎉🎉
End of Better call Saul: Saul Goodman 😭
"Saul is good" - that would be the same Saul who advocated sending Hank and Jesse to 'Belize'. Sure he has a touch of morality left by season 5 of BB, but not a lot.
Badger too. Saul literally wanted someone murdered in his first episode.
@@Jeremy-jm3fe Yep Lalo especially probably changed Jimmy (not spoiler since "Don Lalo" is mentioned in BB)
B for "believe" -- believing in Slippin' Jimmy is the biggest con of all.
will there already be two chapters per week? ❤️If they like the series now, I can't imagine later ...
Belize 🇧🇿 Saul in BB offers to send a few people there .. how nice of him
I’m not 100% sure on this but I’m 99% sure. Saul wasn’t Gus’s lawyer as you mentioned. He knows of Gus, but when he told Walt and Jesse about who they could sell their product to, he says “I know a guy who knows a guy… who knows another guy”. He wasn’t directly connected to Gus, but Mike was and it’s not like Mike to name drop who the biggest drug emperor in the area is to someone like Saul, he is good at keeping secrets but he clearly let Gus know there was good product to buy locally and Gus then made the connection via his own men.
Lola was so right about slippin' Kimmy lol
Man if you are this positive about season 1... well I'm looking forward to reactions to later seasons to say the least.
Marco lives on 🔥🔥🔥💪
GUYS PLEASE YOU HAVE TO REACT TO VIS A VISSS IS THE BEST SERIE YOU´RE GONNA LOVE IT
they're getting ahead of themselves with jimmy lol
In the same way that Breaking Bad is "unnecessarily" dark, Better Call Saul is unnecessarily tragic.
0:18 they are going on a "Waayycation" lol. Really cute 💙
Finish reacting to money heist
They were fearing an arrest.....and it turned out much worse than that.
Actually, I’m pretty sure it’s “Honor among thieves”… no?
next seasons are fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiire
Is the Naruto series and Boruto series gonna be a future thing for y’all ?

You should watch Vinland Saga after attack on titan! It’s only 24 episodes but the story and character evolving is really good!

inside the blankets??? No one wonder?
Also I'm starting to realize that Chuck is pretty much the Skyler of Better Call Saul
Nah, Skyler wanted to protect her children from her abusive, manipulative, murderer, drug dealer husband. Chuck is a narcissistic elitist prick who uses "the law is sacred" as a rationalization for his jealousy towards his brother because "mommy loved Jimmy more" and his own insecurities. He's actually more like Walter.
@@theunknownuser9609 That doesn't excuse Skyler's behavior. She was still the one who drove Walt to break bad in the first place. "Protect" her children how? What does that even mean? That's just weird to assume and very illogical since Walt wouldn't target his own children.
@@Ryan88881 Skyler never told Walter to cook meth and murder people.
"Walt wouldn't target his own children"
*Literally kidnaps his own daughter"
@@theunknownuser9609 Cool story. She still drove him to crime with her weird personality. Stop trying to justify her actions. I'm not over here attempting to justify Walt's. She handled everything wrong.
Also your last sentence is hilarious because you quite literally *can't* kidnap your own daughter when it's your own fucking daughter. You literally sound like a Skyler yourself.
@@Ryan88881 Walter apologist much?
