I recently purchased a home that has a leased (Tesla) solar system on it. The previous owners paid off the lease, and I have the system for about 12 more years. I want to add some Powerwalls for backup. Because the system is leased and not owned, would the Powerwalls I purchase qualify for the Federal Tax Credit?

I bought a house earlier this year and it already have solar panels; however, I want to increase the size of the system. Can I install more panels and still claim the credit?? I cant find the answer anywhere. Thanks!
