great video man! just one question though about the soap. doesn't it help lift the dirt off the house? the bleach just changes the color of the algae right?
Great and informative video!! Quick question, what brand of injector do you use, I have done a few house washes and I bought a 4500 psi Simpson washer but to have my downstream injector to work I have to lower the psi otherwise it won’t draw the SH, it is a waste of time for me because I have to be lowering the psi until the injector starts to pull the mix, then once I’m done I have to go back to my washer and increase the psi to rinse, it doesn’t seem like a lot of problem but it had happen that while I’m applying the mix the injector stops drawing mix, so I have to go back and lower the psi a little more, it gets annoying, I have a M-I-T downstream injector which is supposed to be pretty good, I’m not sure if the fact that the washer have an injector on the on the pump is the cause of my problem, maybe you could help me with a little advice, thank you!!
eyeba69 I see some guys cap the stock injector so it doesn’t suck air. I use the General Pump 2.1 injectors. They do fail sometimes so have a few built with stainless quick connects so you can swap out easy on the job.
Dameron Lyon Thank you. In general are use a 1% house wash mix whether it’s down streaming or 12 volt . In either case While House Washing I use very little soap. In my opinion it just makes the Rinse process longer and more chance of streaking windows.
Put a ball valve before the cam lock coupler (pump side), this way you can interchange if ever needed and not have to drain the line. Cam locks do not stop water flow when they are seperated

Hey bud, when you 12 volt a 5% like you did in this vid, the grass doesn’t burn or at what % can I go up before it can hurt the grass? In Miami it’s always like being on the sun. So if I downstream it would dry in no time !!! So I’m trying to set something like your but don’t much about how strong can I go
Truthseeker I’m quite happy with mine. I was also looking at the fat boy. I went with Jenn to because of the dual pump. Wanted to be sure I had a back up out in the field.
Jerry D Ward In almost every case with house washing I am shooting roughly 1%. Sometimes you may have to hidden area twice and that was the case today. That algae was very heavy and I soaked it slowly twice. It came out great. Only used about 5 gallons of SH on that entire house wash.
Hey Joe! How do you wash houses so fast? The rinse is talking me too long! I use less soap like you said but It's still taking me too long! I'm using the blue tip should I be using something else to rinse?
Sam Smooth hey Sam. I soap with blue tip. Low pressure draws soap. Then I switch nozzles to xjet. High pressure fan to rinse does not draw soap. No back and forth to the truck to turn sosp on and off. Fan is more efficient to rinse and is adjustable if needed
@@powerfulimprovements I have that blue one you got from Walmart yea I use that for soap but it's another blue tip that rinses it's not fast enough and is doesn't cover enough area. So I need to buy the xjet?
Sam Smooth what machine you running? Try even less soap. Like hardly any. If you’re just starting out don’t focus so much on time or how long is taking anybody else to do a job just focus on your method and doing a good job. More work will come your way and you’ll get better all the time.
John Cucchiara I do not have a set price. And I do not charge by square foot. I do my estimates based on time and difficulty. I do have a rough average given the size of a house. But not necessarily a set price
Joe, Thanks for all you do! If one customer wants a lot of work in one day--a roof wash, house wash, and driveway surface cleaned, in what order would you do them , and explain your thinking--why do each in that order Sir?
Rich DeWitt I have a similar project on this Friday. I always approach that top to bottom. I would do the roof wash then the siding then the walkways or driveway. Roof washing would trickle onto the siding siding would trickle into the driveway then clean the driveway. If you did it in any other order you would be backtracking and rinsing things more than once

Good video,i was using alot of soap mainly so customer could see it..I would love to see some of the mixes and ratios you use?
Dameron Lyon Thank you. In general are use a 1% house wash mix whether it’s down streaming or 12 volt . In either case While House Washing I use very little soap. In my opinion it just makes the Rinse process longer and more chance of streaking windows.
Put a ball valve before the cam lock coupler (pump side), this way you can interchange if ever needed and not have to drain the line. Cam locks do not stop water flow when they are seperated
Kevin Cupples good idea!
Joe where are you doing the bulk of your advertising to get your jobs do you have a website
I am trying multiple ways and not getting results
Andrew Mills I hit it from several angles. Yes I have a Google my business page I have a Facebook page I advertise in the paper every week. I also put stuff on Instagram. I put out yard signs. I give every client to business cards. I ask for referrals. Past clients refer me their friends. Sometimes I hand out flyers in neighborhoods. I’m in a local business association. I try to make sure everyone knows what I do
Thanks for demonstrating how a spilled coffee at the beginning of the day doesn’t dictate the outcome of the remainder of the day. Good recovery, Joe. 😊. Thanks again for the awesome video and content!
Clean North Fulton Right on. There ain’t no use in complaining.
What's your soap ratio?
Hey bud, when you 12 volt a 5% like you did in this vid, the grass doesn’t burn or at what % can I go up before it can hurt the grass? In Miami it’s always like being on the sun. So if I downstream it would dry in no time !!! So I’m trying to set something like your but don’t much about how strong can I go
VA Va 5% will burn. Gotta pre wet and post rinse
There’s no water pressure. 12 V out of their pool 🤣
Those squiggly lines..😄
I’ve been looking at soft wash systems. The Gen II seems to be the most economical of the pro rigs. Would you agree? Any regrets?
Truthseeker I’m quite happy with mine. I was also looking at the fat boy. I went with Jenn to because of the dual pump. Wanted to be sure I had a back up out in the field.
Awesome. Thank you
That house wash mix you used was about what percent sh? By the way it looks like a brand new house!! Wonderful work
Jerry D Ward In almost every case with house washing I am shooting roughly 1%. Sometimes you may have to hidden area twice and that was the case today. That algae was very heavy and I soaked it slowly twice. It came out great. Only used about 5 gallons of SH on that entire house wash.
Your Downstream mix is it safe to say five gallons of sh + gallons of water
Srdjan Nakalamic ?
Packing up is the worst...more exhausting than cleaning 😂
Barnyard_Dawg Yes sir. Draining.
AGREED!
Hey Joe been watching your videos for a while. Where do you get your guns and Lance's? Thanks for the help and keep up the awesome videos.
Pressuretek
Why don’t you use the plastic Gilmore gun? I would think that it would be less corrosion
Team Pro Powerwashing I have 2 plastic on the truck. The Gilmore gun just doesn’t last. But that’s to be expected for under 5$ 😂
Hey Joe I’m trying to set up the feed part of my buffer tank. I already installed the Hudson float valve
Do you have a list of what size fittings I need for the top part where the hose connects
Team Pro Powerwashing I do not. Mine came complete
@@powerfulimprovements thanks Joe you're the best man!
Hey joe. Do you have set prices for Housewash or do you charge per sq ft
Awesome stuff man!! As someone thinking about getting in the game..I really like the tips and tricks👍🏼
I have heard EDPM O-Rings are pretty good..
MNpicker thanks. It was the wd40 that melted that one
@@powerfulimprovements yeah.. Wd40 and rubber dont get along very well 😬
MNpicker turned it into bubble gum
@@powerfulimprovements Yikes 😳
Nooooo!!!!! Not the coffee! Lol great content, man. Thank you
Hi Joe,
Nice work today...
Man, ran out of water again?
I was saying to myself take the water from the kids pool, LOL....
The kids face would have been classic when he sees no water in the pool, LOL....
Nice to have good neighbors. Who know, he might need his house done one day.
Michael C hey Mike. Yeah my first thought was the drive from the pool. But then the client mentioned the neighbor lets them fill their pool from his house. So I asked if we could just grab water from him and he said yes.
@@powerfulimprovements
Man, that's a serious drought...
Great job!
Great work my friend I have learned a lot from watching your videos thank you for sharing all the good information.🙏
✌🏼
How do cover the sh smell with no soap?
Igor V. I don’t.
Me if I’m trying to get in and out I’m using 100% sh 😂😂😂
I never knew water supply was sketchy in New England
Horizon Fence shallow old wells in the country. And we haven’t had rain Been 90+
You just earned a Sub my friend!! Keep up the good work!
Matt V. Thank you 🙏
@@powerfulimprovements yes sir, trying to get clients here in south Texas!
Thanks again Joe for another great informative video. I am very new to this business and your videos have taught me so much! Keep them coming.. Wash on brother! ✌🏼
Bryan Goldsmith 🤘🏼
I’ve only remembered to bring surfactant to one job lol
Thank you for showing how to set up the Gilmore. See ya on your next video.
Bender Professional Services ✌🏼
Do you quote in person? If so you need to just incorporate a 5 gallon bucket test in the quote process and charge accordingly 👍 as much problems you have with water flow
2shots_Assured that would be a good idea. But it’s the 100 gallon mark that we dry up. Also just no time to run around. I do most estimates through phone and pictures. I lose once in awhile but overall it keeps me way ahead
I am glad i had a few extra tips. I lost my jrod on a lake lol
Bad Weatherfreak oh no
Keep up the good work
Awesome job. House wash is great
Nice job Always gotta think on the fly . Adapt overcome like I always say KILLIN IT BUDDY
MATT PATUNAS thank you Matt
You need to provide an email or DM where people can contact you and ask questions regarding something they have seen.
Markland Manor yeah. In theory... but honestly not sure I can manage any more 😂
Powerful Improvements heavy is the head that wears the crown sir.
Markland Manor 😂 now that’s funny
