Haha remember when you first got the DV1 base coat gun, spraying the Stando blue. You we're blown away with how effortlessly is layed down. As was i but im still on the old school pro lite and super nova. 😅
@@TheGunmanChannel Can i ask you about the air cap c1+ is same B+ It's confusing same air pressure gauge and same size holes and what you think the the best air cap between B+ and B for basecoat thanks 👍
Hey GUNNY try the Porphis 717......email them they will send you one. IMO nice inexpensive gun. like nothing else I have tried. IMO better than my Tekna Prolite. Less fog and super fine spray. amazing efficiency transfer.....Best china gun I have ever used. many guys are trying it.
Maybe Top user friendly spray guns video like w400 and flg5 . You can spray them at deferent pressures and still get good results. Full size guns for smaller compressors.
I got a sata jet 4400 b minijet and sprayed kbs diamond clear through it i did not test viscosity but it was way to thick it come out spitting like sand paper but it leveled and come out good on term of orange peel paint also has to do with paint leveling in my opinion
Interesting video Gunny, I don't have any limited edition DV1's I've just got the base and clear plus the mini gun. I have 10+ clearcoat guns but only one dedicated base gun and that is the DV1 1.2 with the B+ aircap which is the best base gun I have used even though I sometimes use my GTI Pro with the TE10 aircap, I used to swear by the C1 cap for clear but these days I'm liking the C2 cap as the finish from it is just as good as the C1 but the C2 is faster👌🙏👍John UK
Gunny, good to see you. I have not been around painting for awhile as I 'm not doing the hydrographics at this time. Question, when you say "wet on wet", are you just talking about a primer sealer that you would put on just before the base coat?
Great video gunny Question the plastic baffle I took mine apart and don't remember if the flat side went down or up one side is flat other is rounded Thanks in advance
Have a question some guns have a air valve on the gun how do you use that valve adjustment I have a valve with gage where the air coupler connects to the gun do you even use the valve that on the gun some devilbiss guns have them other's don't ??? Great videos you have.

You can’t beat a DV1 for basecoat. Not so keen for clear coat but ive got the gambler edition as my everyday base gun and I wouldnt change it for anything else. I’ve got the series 2 Iwata as well and that’s nearly as good but not quite there. Im also using Envirobase
Hey man I remember you saying you heat your clear coat up in a microwave what is your preferred temperature for a high solids clear coat that doesn’t allow any reducer per tds . I’m finding it difficult to get consistent results with the clear I use at work
My DV1 fan adjuster not working😓 ive tried to fix but nothings happen., i put new spreader valve but still not working. Can anyone help me please🙏🙏🙏.. my two DV1 got the same issue
@@cos9312 if you want to throw it around but have a gun that will last a lifetime get the Sagola. But I would say for automotive, the ANi Skull would be the better clear gun. Bigger fan, I like the digital version and it's a lot cheaper. Sagola is great as an individual gun or a workhorse all-rounder.
C1 Capnis a massive disappointment for me, but that's because it's the exact same cap as the Base coat B1+, just the engraving is different. C2 is okay, but still waaaay too slow for me
