I have a ZD326 which was replaced by the ZD1211. It is by far the best mower I have ever had. 1,800 hours and still runs and looks like new. Just a suburb mower with proper maintenance. It is also so much better on fuel than the gas mowers I have had. I hope you enjoy your new mower and it serves you as well as mine has served me. BTW, the factory Kubota blades are excellent and wear extremely well in my experience.
We wanted a 1211 with a 72" rear discharge, but they kept going up and up until it didn't make financial sense anymore. We got this machine at 66 hrs for 50% of a new one.....I can't imagine we will wear it out in a lifetime!
I have a ZD-331, bought new in late 2007, the only issue I have had, is about three years ago, it would start overheating, (has a pretty good alarm by the way). Replaced the thermostat and cured the issue. I'm pretty sure the shiny thing you pointed is the electric fuel pump, the second filter, (one for each tank), is about even with the front end of the battery. Even with 31 HP, I ordered a 60 inch Pro Deck, instead of the 72 inch, as I actually mow the pasture most of the time, instead of using the tractor. The Zero Turn does a good job in the pasture because the mower cuts the grass before the big wheels. I paid $12,000. and change in 2007 and thought that was a lot, but after 17 years looks and mows like a new mower.
I looked at those and ended up buying a B2301 tractor with a deck instead. The zero turn was a bit bouncy for me and for a few dollars more i got better versatility. I really like Kubota.
@@Kernica1 I'd look into a used a tractor and finish mower because any zero turn that gets used for 15 acres every week is going to wear out fast if it's not a commercial mower. Commercial zero turns and compact tractors are similarly priced.
Interesting, I've got a 1994 JDeere F935 60" Diesel front deck mower, and it would be 30k + to replace it. I might have to look at one of those models instead.
Genuinely confused. Why is this worth twice as much as the Kubota gasoline version? Does it cut a lot better? Last that much longer? No way I believe you're going to make up that price difference on fuel.
There probably isn't a big a price difference between their commercial grade gas mower and their diesel mowers....they make many models. But the advantage to the diesel is fuel efficiency and longevity.
From Kubota website: The compact diesel engine, rated at 19.3 horsepower, and two-range HST that power the Kubota ZD1011, give you the power you need to take your lawn care to the next level.

Glad to see Deb has a new "toy" to enjoy driving, mowing, and enjoying your Florida fresh air, blowing through her hair!
GOD Bless You Both!
She needs to get on it....grass is getting tall! Thanks for watching.

They are great machines. We just got a Yakta also: ua-cam.com/video/O8d6Z7CXpBA/v-deo.html
how many acres pasture do you mow with the 60" deck?
@@dj-nr8nm About 5 acres every week.
Great communication
Everything I wanted to know.
Thank you for taking the time to produce this and for sharing.
Glad it was helpful! More zero turn videos here: ua-cam.com/play/PLG5yS75HLzo3mW_5QedPxJTQxiJ5qGcb-.html

I would always recommend to buy a tractor first!

Like the new toy... equipment. It's going to be a blast to use. Fun times ahead 😊
Did you see Deb and Bella in the background photo bombing my video?
@@PineyGroveHomestead yes, they did a great job ☺️
Such an awesome mower! Going to be great on PG!
Hopefully we can knock out mowing out quicker!!
A great addition to Piney Grove 👍🏻
Thanks Luc. It's got a lot of work in it's future!

You can get a nice used ZD1211 for $14-16K with a 72" deck. Last forever!
Price on these things is just dam ridiculous
I agree but I have been saying that about all goods and services anymore. Inflation is killing the American dream. Absolutely killing it. Quite sad
Why would Kubota need three cylinders to make 19 horsepower?
More cylinders = smoother running and hiqher Q.

The 1011 is 17.9 1021 is 19 hp

Zero chance this is cheaper than gas. The cost difference alone would take thousands of hrs to make up the difference
We reviewed a top of the line Ferris 3300...same price.
No thank you I'm not going to pay to get an answer
pay what?
