I know i know, it was so tempting to push forward more than 1"....finally you backed up. Hard decision.... That center cab has a mile of wiring. Looks well builted. The boxcab runs quietly and impressive enginehouse. What supposed to be that narrow gauge with ? Thanks for the show.
I backed up because I didn't want to derail it. It's a heavy little beast. It is 2-1/2" to the foot scale on 7-1/4" gauge track; so that would be something like 3 foot gauge.
Hi, my name is Jim and I live in Texas. I would love to get into the trains that you operate. I know it is expensive hobby but would love some guidance on websites or other places I could get the track and trains to get started. Thanks, and I enjoy watching your channel.
The Backyard Railroading group on Facebook is a good place to start. Also, Discoverlivesteam.com. Plum Cove Studios offers a super small locomotive that works great as a starter. Plumcovestudios.com. I'll be offering end cab switchers and maybe some other parts and accessories for sale soon at MillBrookRailroad.com.
It is all custom built. Most of the videos on this channel take place at another railroad, 50 miles away from this one. We cover everything from track and equipment maintenance to hauling freight. We even have a series where we built a locomotive.
Does anybody have any ideas on how you could make money with something like this railroad? all i can thing would be wood cutting for home fire, but if it could pay for it self it would be more fund to operate.
I don't make money with mine directly, but I do make good use of it by hauling wood pellets, chicken manure and anything else that needs to be hauled around the property. I even haul gasoline for the lawn mower when I run out of gas.
It is a rather involved process to make a rail vehicle or of a snow blower and a snow blower Isn't always the right tool for the job. Sometimes a shovel is the best tool. It all depends on the snow depth and composition. ...but the real reason in this case is that Stoddard Hill Farm Railway doesn't usually operate in the winter, so snow removal hasn't been a priority.
Now this question is for board members only is Millbrook central terminal ..pellets division Railway planning to merge and build a the World's largest rail to pickup truck Transloads Facilities and run freight trains...or is the Millbrook Railway film production producers crews just miss informed your Washington viewers into confusion.......what sa story to tell our wives....
Nice railroad, beautiful setting, very enjoyable video. Wayne
Aspirations are good!
Like the new engine
That's Stoddard Hill Farm Railway number 1. It's not new at all. It's older than the MLBK 70.
Nice video, nice railway he has, think you could maybe do with a bigger shed like he has, pity he did not have a snow plough handy ..

Thank you for the information.
Interesting speeder body! Battery powered with sound?O-4-0 wheels arrangement. Nice what scale?
2-1/2" scale.
Is this all custom built? Did it come from a mine, or an amusement park? Just finding the channel and am very curious

So how far away is the two railroads
About 50 miles.
@@MillBrookRailroad I hope the drive is pleasant, at least.
@@RHTeebs, it is a nice drive most of the year. It is a challenge in mud season.

Why can't you just mount a snow blower to the front of your train engine?

The Mill Brook Railroad is a conveyor belt for bagged wood pellets to and from storage to keep two houses warm in the winter.
Why didn`t you build a Snow Plower to mount in front of the Locomotive....?
The center cab has pilot mounted plows.
