It was about the holocaust and people came and gave us a presentation about the holocaust and some instruments that were saved from it and after the presentation my friends were like that was so boring, I don’t even get the point of that, why did we even have that presentation, etc. I was so shocked.

He’d made it outside and called to say he was fine and was going back to help out. We waited for his next call for days after we really knew it was not possible. But there was this odd hope that maybe he’d left and maybe had bad cell connection. But when we saw the buildings collapse, that’s the only time in my life I have ever actually fainted.
