Moral of the story, wet n Wild is the MVP of the drug store. Like 99% of the stuff from their line (including color cosmetics like blush/bronzer/highlight & eyeshdow) is v bomb. They have a 2 dollar retractable brow pencil you can get at Walmart/target that is super good.
Wet n Wild is SO good; I always buy their Hallowe'en makeup once it goes on clearance (and lashes because you need em, henny) and the colors are bomb. Loving the purple glitter lipstick I bought this year!
I use water as setting spray and everyone always asks what spray i use to keep my makeup so good all day

I buy rosewater at an asian supermarket & dilute it half & half with water & use that, it makes my skin nice and dewey but matte, my makeup lasts all day too.
irishwench333 I’ve been thinking of going that and adding a few drops of glycerin as it’s an ingredient found in dewy setting sprays.
I use hairspray!!! I am a hairdresser and always have elaborate hair and used to walk through lots of hairspray sprayed in the air as a final finishing touch and my make up would always stay amazing so now I do it just for my face. I used to dance literally til dawn in Ibiza nightclubs in full dragesque makeup and it would stay thanks to my amazing! Oh and I also use a little spray deodorant on forhead and back of neck before make up to prevent sweating through!

Oh Jaymes, I just absolutely adore you! My transgender husband and I are avid watchers of Rupaul’s drag race and I loved you on the show! However, it has been wonderful to be able to see you flourish and grow since 💖 I feel you’ve become comfortable in your drag and it has just become better every time you put out a video - whether comedy, hair or makeup (obvs there is more to drag than that but, you get the gist!). I am desperate to see you on All Stars, I think you would do so much better than before (those judges had no idea what they were talking about ☹️). I don't know about "clown lung," but inhaling any powder/particulate matter can be horrible for your lungs. Do your best not to inhale powders... your lungs will thank you! 💙
With that purple eyeshadow? I think they showed the palette a sugarpill purple from waaaaaaay across the warehouse. They didn't want the shadow to feel bad about itself.

I used loads of setting sprays and always lost my eyebrows. So i always use the ole drag faithful. Hairspray. Feels heavy on the face but my makeup never moves.
Ugh jaymes is actually one of the most handsome queens putnof drag.

Well, the first listed ingredient in Coty Aerospun is Talc which is the main component in causing talcosis. Researches presented the finding at European Respiratory Society's International Congress where they looked at industrial use of talc in food manufacturing and the employees who had talcosis.
As this product had been around (and trusted) since 1935 - I imagine it has the same formulation hence the talc. It is likely people who have used it constantly and at large amounts of it each use got sick - largely performance artists, such as clowns - got Clown Lung!
Also, I read an article from the New York Times that said it was one of the products on the market that researchers found 2 to 29 percent asbestos fibres present - as some talc is known to have asbestos in it. This has been linked to cancer.
So, it isn’t a conspiracy, that is why Ben Nye proudly advertises on their powders to not contain talc - as this is a real concern for professional makeup use of powders. So, I would suggest using Coty Aerospun Powder sparingly or switching to *Cover FX.
It is easily researched on Google, so educate the children Miss Jaymes!

Katherine Choi Yes! I was especially shocked to read it might have traces of asbestos in their product - well, kind of shocked. I am sure it is great if used very, very sparingly but not for theatrical makeup! :-)

Oldman Ontheinternet *Cover FX works very good. I like it. Yes - you have to be very particular in picking cosmetics are only regulated by FDA, unless they are colour additives. But... you can’t really avoid a lot of that unless you completely avoid purchasing cosmetics. This all being said, I am not an authority on the matter and frankly... I am not one to remark on what kind of makeup people use! I probably use makeup that is very toxic but at least my face looks goooooood(ish). Lol.

well there is a dermacolor fixing spray and a regular fixing spray from kryolan with which you can even go swimming.
I love these videos so much lol. It's a great way to show that you don't need a ton of money to be fabulous.

my favorite mascara is the milk makeup kush mascara, it's stupidly bougie but works so well I'm kind of shocked! for the longest time I used covergirl mascara and couldn't find one I thought made a big difference, but the kush mascara has totally blown me away. loreal lash paradise is also really awesome.

Purple is a rough color for almost all brands tbh. Some have gems along the way but purple just seems like its almost always patchy af to me.
Estee Lauder and Clinique do pretty good purples. So does Princess Marcella Bhorgese. I havent worn makeup in years (despite having plenty of it) but those were my go-tos. I have about $400 worth of makeup from CVS that's still brand new....

One 5 below brand, that isn't complete trash is Profusion. I have a few of their palettes and I enjoy them. Smoke & Mirrors has a decent contour and highlight palette, that doesn't suck. You did a great job for what you had to work with. I've been loving your tutorials, challenges, and educational videos.

ELF & UD have great setting sprays, but Blue/Green Marble is my Holy grail. I stock up on it during black Friday cuz it's $$$$ It holds up great in the heat & you can layer with it if your doing sfx makeup. I'd love to find an affordable dupe for it tho.
I use that wet n wild contour palette still 💀 she works tho! Especially when you have olive-y skin. Also for mascara, my esthetician friend said the formula is usually the same (unless it says it has some sort of ingredient) and the difference is in the WAND shape. Thus you could buy any mascara and just keep your favorite wands when you run out. Finally, those star stamps are addicting lmao I have one and adore it.

Thank you for trying this, always wondered about the make up they sell. Wet n wild is a cheap brand regardless and always feels like play makeup, or costume. However, they do have some reasonable products. This was so nice!

For mascara Badgirl Bang. The brush is wonderful. Most setting sprays are the same. The best one I have used is Final Seal by Ben Nye. White period makeup on stage, outdoor venue, in July Ft. Worth, TX. 113°. My make up stayed on.

I've definitely noticed a difference in mascara. My favorites are L'Oreal Lash Paradise and Essence Lash Princess!

Bryce I it's my go to , been hooked on it since Carli Bible, she's a UA-camr , and I thought she was wearing fake eyelashes in the video but NO! It's the mascara! I LOVE and SWEAR by it !!
Some mascaras are super clumpy and just flake off all over your face, and then there’s the normal vs waterproof ones. All the other stuff is really only noticeable on natural lashes (or natural looking falsies), so like some add volume, some add length, etc, etc.
