Delicious JAPANESE BEEF CURRY Recipe

  • Japanese Beef Curry is a simple, rich and creamy stew which my mom loves to make. In this video, we make this dish with KOKUMARO Japanese curry roux from House Food Brand. Please enjoy 😊
    INGREDIENTS ( for 4 servings )
    For Japanese Curry
    200g ground meat (we like to use beef tenderloin for this recipe)
    70g Japanese curry roux cubes
    1 tbsp. Cooking oil
    250g onion, sliced
    250g potatoes, cut into bite-sized pieces
    170g carrots, cut into bite-sized pieces
    1 Envy apple (180g) , peeled and grated
    850ml water
    20g salted butter
    👩🏻‍🍳Directions
    - Heat the oil in a pot over medium heat, then add ground meat to pot and saute until dry and slightly browned.
    - Add sliced onion and sauté until translucent
    - Add grated apple, potatoes, and carrot to pot and saute for 5 minutes
    - Add water to pot, brings to a boil and skim off the impurities with a stainer
    - Lower the heat to low heat, cover with a lid and simmer for 20 minutes
    - Add in curry roux and constantly stir for 3 minutes or until curry roux are fully dissolved.
    - Add salted butter to pot, stir well and turn off the heat.
    For Japanese Rice
    INGREDIENTS ( for 3 - 4 servings )
    280g Japanese rice
    430ml water
    👩🏻‍🍳Directions
    - Wash and drain Japanese rice with water about 6 times
    - Add in 430ml water and let it soak for around 30 minutes before cooking
    - Cook in a rice cooker ( we use the normal setting )
    - Once the rice is cooked, leave it in the rice cooker for 10 minutes before fluffing the rice
