During those decades the only place meself like about Lautoka City is the Lautoka market it looks like Suva market so cheaper the produce and you get to see the buses all nearby and so easy to get to anywhere really riding the buses and dingy and taxis hahahahahahaha respect
very good video from Lautoka City Lautoka is not a town it is the second city of Fiji islands hahahahahahaha respect here in Fiji islands a town become a city when it reaches certain population the CBD and has many schools and other cities attributes Papua New Guinea 🇵🇬 you have bigger populations yet you don't call your towns city weird indeed anyways thanks for visiting Fiji islands a lot kid God bless always and family and friends yep meself used to go to Lautoka city a lot since 70s 80s meself late dad used to work in the military camp there sometime and we went to the Church of Christ Pacific workshop stayed for one week in the Teras home in Commisioners Drive Vomo Street later on again University years Geography fieldtrips stayed at Cathay Hotel and another trip stayed at the Natabua High School again went to work there Lautoka teaching at JWHS for couple years and yep lived in the hostel with kids later on married moved to a flat Vomo street near Corbett road next to Anthony Rahiman grandparents and dad Lautoka is quiet city not like Suva City capital city meself like Suva City more cooler the windward side more rain which is superb
yep it is more development seen after 2006 coup it should be because the places there was like abandoned mostly the olden Indians there kept staying and had the strong minds to keep operating their shops even though after the 1987 2000 coup some were operating in a loss but still they kept going The what we call GIRMITIYAS TYPE OF NEVER SAY DIE WHEN THE TOUGH GETS GOING IT ALWAYS MAKE THEM TOUGHEST AGAIN AND AGAIN AS MANY OF THEM ONLY FOUND GOOD LIFE IN FIJI ISLANDS WHERE THEY ORIGINALLY COME FROM THEIR FOREFATHERS THEY LIKE DO NOT EXIST THERE ANYMORE WHICH IS WEIRD LIKE THEIR RECORDS ABOLISHED
when meself teaching in Jasper Williams High School back those decades the Narara Parade and the Churchill Park ground number 2 only that Tappoo City after 2006 coup after two previous coups of 1987 and 2000 the leaders not from Viti Levu so it was like a waste of time coup for Lautoka City anyways only after 2006 coup since Bainimarama from Viti Levu province Tailevu and Khaiyum they really made new developments for Nadi Lautoka especially because it was a need since after the 1987 and 2000 coup what was seen increased lawlessness that side and many from there migrated to other places and countries like New Zealand Australia USA Canada mostly Brain drain issue so they tried to revitalization the economy Nadi Lautoka after 2006 coup to make those people there love their places more and stay longer

that Tappoo City after 2006 coup
after two previous coups of 1987 and 2000 the leaders not from Viti Levu so it was like a waste of time coup for Lautoka City
anyways only after 2006 coup since Bainimarama from Viti Levu province Tailevu and Khaiyum they really made new developments for Nadi Lautoka especially because it was a need since after the 1987 and 2000 coup what was seen increased lawlessness that side and many from there migrated to other places and countries like New Zealand Australia USA Canada mostly
