  • In this Local Farmers Local Fish episode, we visited a fish farm in Missouri's lush, forested hills and heard from Steve Kahrs, the co-owner of Osage Catfisheries Inc. Steve describes his dad's journey from serving his county to farming fish and more. Osage Catfisheries is a second-generation family-owned aquaculture business. Established in the 1950s, the farm raised small fish, known as bait fish, and sold them locally from a small bait shop located on the farm. Watch the video to hear how the farm's history unfolded.
