This one is my absolute favorite of the Twisted Tales! Everything you said in this review I agree with. I loved the atmosphere and world building of this book. I also love the Chinese interpretation of the Underworld and the non stop action. As soon as the heroes defeat an obstacle, there is another one. In another review someone said that they hated the trope of Mulan doubting herself over and over and falling for the traps of the Underworld but I actually liked that. That is the design of the Underworld. I love this one and I am so glad you loved it too!
