Where did you see any marriage vows in the Bible first of all? The vows are a public declaration of their love, intent and covenant with each other. Don't make a doctrinal issue of wedding vows, when or how they are said.
Are you married though? If you are this should not seem strange as couples encourage and remind themselves of their loyalty and heartfelt love for each other regardless of the vicissitudes of life. Expressing love for our spouses should not be strange, it should be a way of life.
When life challenges overwhelms, come to social media and vent....
How a grown up human will be uneccesarily angry with two adults who decides to renew there marriage vows should indeed be a case study.

My sister they can't express their happiness like the newly wedding couple, they've been through a lot, so they're on low key, But if they're not happy they won't come to the Altar to renew their vows.
Vows are solemn, do you see anyone laughing while taking their vows. The laughter and dance comes afterwards.
