- Hello everyone my name is Irene and welcome to my channel! Today I have a very exciting unboxing video for you guys! I am unboxing two Typhochlaena seladonia that I purchased from palpfriction. This is my dream tarantula as I am obsessed with dwarf tarantulas but there are not many arboreal dwarf tarantulas, and T seladonia being one of them. Hope you guys enjoy the video :)

Nice video Irene, strangely enough they have never been on my bucket list, yeah they are stunning to look at but, I know the price has come down a hell of alot, just, never been interested. Don't get me wrong, stoked you have your dream T and will look forward to update videos. Love the glasses 😉
Yeah it's understandable that it's not everyone's bucket list cuz T seladonia don't get too big.. nor they hang out too much and the price tag in the US 😅 but I always have a little soft spot for smoll Ts they are SUPER adorable. But in the end everyone has their preference and thank you Sean 😋😋

Wow that's so cool! They're beautiful even as slings. I want one of these so bad, but unfortunately I'm entirely new to tarantulas and my only experience is the two months I've owned my GBB sling. (It just recently molted for the first time under my care!)
They are indeed very gorgeous even as slings! I actually only started keeping tarantulas just last year so I am a newish keeper as well there is much to learn as you go :) I have a GBB too but she does not have a name yet! Wishes you the best of luck on your tarantula journey, hopefully you will collect some more Ts as your experience grows

This has really sold me on buying from Palp Frictions, Those shipping ready enclosures are fantastic and the sponge list is GENIUS!
I keep my t seladonias the same way as my c versicolor as far as humidity and cross ventilation. The sponge is good for ventilation just dont water too much until you can move them into a bigger enclosure with cross ventilation. T seladonia was my 2nd species ever so I was nervous but I've raised 3 to adulthood now, they're not as hard as people make them out to be.
Thanks for sharing your seladonia experience with me! I think I am a little too nervous about them haha they are doing fine and cross ventilation is indeed very important for them. The sponge lid came from the seller which I think its a good idea to keep the air flow going! Hopefully I can update them from time to time and raise them to adulthood :) Thank you Michelle!

Hi, don’t know if you read this already but apparently other owners of this species have found they prefer smaller prey items and have a preference for crickets. Also they like some humidity but not the enclosure to be wet/damp. Maybe yours will be the same? Hope it helps.
Yeah I also read that they prefer some humidity but the enclosure shouldn't be too damp! I guess that's the reason why the seller included sponge lids instead of regular lids cuz sponge lid allows for more ventilation. Thanks for your tip tho :) I am currently feeding them pinhead red runners but I will try out crickets sometimes!!

My t seladonia escaped last year in December 😭 I've been trying to find another one ever since still no luck its just impossible to find another one very docile for how small they are and by far the best t I've ever owned congratulations on getting yours hope it goes well!

Did you discard the food that came with it you seemed a little confused with the roach which that’s what they eat I’m sure you figured this out haha but some keepers who include the enclosure with their content usually will include a feeder insect incase you was no aware
