Wow I always wondered what them engines looked like when their not full of rust, lol! Looks like a beauty, great job getting it in your garage Stephan!!
Oh my gosh... where do I start with that move ?????? You did it very smartly. I'm glad that M is there just in case. I rebuilt my 1600 Squareback in the yard where I live now. Super easy to rebuild. I ordered a 1675cc jug kit for about 200$ from Brazil. But that's been 20 years ago. It came with pistons, rings, pushrod tubes w/seals and gaskets. Do you have a repair book for the 69 Bay and motor/trans ?
@@pstreetgarage7304 I can say I understand, but anymore I'm retired LOL 😆. My back gave up on me and have a year to go before I can get back to doing what I want 😉
@@pstreetgarage7304 the part that sucks is I feel great, until I start messing around. Figured rebuilding the front end of my Lincoln navigator might be easy enough, and it was, just back didn't like it much.lol
Did you say you were going to try and and lift that thing by yourself?! I didn’t know you were Hulk Hogan. I mean Incredible Hulk. Second thing I’m wondering is why were you driving around with that engine for so long???!!! Final question. I thought trucks were designed to carry stuff in the back?! Glad you got it out and didn’t use hurt your back! That tranny jack is perfect but you could have left the corners up to help keep the engine centered. If you can weld you can build an engine dolly. But jack should do the same thing.
1st time I've ever seen an engine in the back seat. Nice looking engine Stephan 🛠👍
Yes ! I paid up for this one. Thank you Jerry !
The plywood idea worked out pretty slick Stephan! 😁👍 Glad you found a good engine 🔧🔩
Thank you Zane !
Hi brother, watched on tv the other day on the tv. Great work moving that engine! I use my crane a lot too.
Thank you Brother Bill !

Cool. Thanks for watching ! It's definitely shinier than the bus lol
Just subbed to your channel !
@@pstreetgarage7304 thanks. Just found and subbed to yours a week or so ago. More bus content more better 🤙
@@callalilycollective Thank you so much. I have worked on cars for many years. I'm new to the bus this. Very cool community !
I normally move engines on a floor jack.
Yes it's on my trans jack now. Just had to get it out of the truck by myself lol. Was not lifting it
There is a video out there somewhere of a guy picking up the vw engine and putting it in a bug by hand 😂😂
