Of all the companions, the Doctor was closest to Jamie... literally. Created for Van Donovan. Doctor Who copyright to BBC. For more T.a.t.U.: www.tatugirls.com/
the reason I read that Two and Jamie hold hands/hug etc so much is that a BBC executive saw an early Troughton episode and saw Two and Jamie hold hands. He sent a note to the DW office saying this wasn't to happen again so Patrick and Frazer put into a lot of their episodes just to wind up the executive should he see it!
I like the idea that if you're scared you go and hug someone instead of standing all alone and getting angry and cursing... hugging seems so much better :-)
I've seen this soo many times (hence commenting twice) I loooove this! I giggle EVERY time! And I love at @00:17 when the Doc shifts his buttons or whatever it looks so suspicious!
To quote a certain captain: "This is quite homoerotic!" Now I haven't seen any Classic Who, but I think the subtext is ver plain in these clips: all the touching, the closeness and the way they tend to wake up in very close face/crotch proximity ;) This was a very lovely video and now I have to go find out more about this 'couple'. Thank you for sharing!
*nods* Try all you want, RTD, even with all your epic Doomsday stuff and constant season 3 and 4 Rose references Jamie still wins the reference contest. And the saddest departure, too. :(
I don't normally go for "shipping" of characters -- directly, or by implication -- but I have to say that was a good match, clip-to-music -- well done!
I love this! You know, for all of Season 6b (which I believe in) the Doc and Jamie are alone...off in time and space...who knows...things could have gotten...timey-wimey...
loved the 'closer to Jamie...literally." rofl dang, but that was cute. I really need to see some of these episodes--it is clear that they would vastly improve the quality of my life. (not even kidding)
That was super!! You know...the actor who played Jamie is still around and the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who is in a couple of years.....some sorta reunion?
Excellent use of the footage. I was glad you used the shot of them holding hands from Tomb of the Cybermen. This is going straight to my favourites. I love Jamie! Clearly I need to do a lot of rewatching because I didn't recognise half the episode. Where did you get them from?
Five didn't call out for Jamie during his regen, he called out Adric's name. Six did call Peri, Jamie at one point, when he was still recovering from regeneration, but he also called her Susan and Tegan, so I don't think you can read anything into that.
A lot of people in 1960s movies and shows like this seem to hold onto each other like this whenever they are scared. Gender doesn't seem to matter... if they are scared they go hold on to someone. There were lots of scary things to make the characters in Dr. Who hold on to people. Also in other countries (like Korea) it is totally normal and expected that best friends of the same gender should hold hands. Maybe in Scotland in the 1960s this was the case. They look like very good pals to me. :)
It's from the Faceless ones the two men are the Commandate (I don't think his name is ever mentioned) in charge of Gatwick airport and a Police inspector it is the last story that had Ben and Polly in the story hope it helps.
Oh, what does he say? Can you tell us anything of it? There was a also a rumour that Frazer Hines hinted in the interview of Helicon Prime (Big Finish audio story) that they were indeed very conscious of the fact that they were playing the characters up to this effect. For fun and games apparently, the silly men. ;) Well, however close friends they actually were, they did have such great chemistry that it makes the Troughton era real a jewel. ^_^
OMG! This video is so cool! And they are so cute together! ^^ A question: Can anybody tell me from which episode was the piece that features the Doctor with Jamie and Victoria and is shown immediately after the aeroplane piece from the dominators taken (about 00:28)?
In the 1960s: good friends. That didn't stop the shipping back then, and it sure doesn't stop it now. (The actors were great friends, and Troughton had two wives and a mistress.)
The Doctor has no sense of personal space, and Jamie comes from a time when it was okay for men to touch and hug each other. IRL, it seems Patrick Troughton and Fraser Hines liked to mess with uptight BBC executives.

Aw Jamie's so clingy. :)
The song sounds so dramatic and angsty, it broke me a little bit. Usually when i think of Two/Jamie i just think of them being sweet and silly.
I like the idea that if you're scared you go and hug someone instead of standing all alone and getting angry and cursing... hugging seems so much better :-)
I ship them so hard I-
They just love each other so much, it's so cute. Thank you a lot for this ❤❤❤ !
When the Sixth Doctor encounters Jamie again in the Two Doctors, he tells Peri, 'I was always very fond of Jamie'.

Another reason to love Van Donovan, not only does he write great Jamie/Twofics, but he has friends who make awesome videos for him :)
Such great friends, I heard they were drunk once during a scene. Ha. In The Invasion.
I have only watched the Mind Robber but I love it.

Very nicely done, bravo! :oD Nothing can beat the team that these two made. I like the song choice, never heard that one before.
Agreed. Jamie was the companion who was the closest to the Doctor.

Gosh!! This is wonderful! Thank you so much for making this vid, I am like yay :D
Aww, wonderful video. The choice of music made it seem almost cracky to me, but there's no way to deny the obvious love between the two of them.

*remembers to breathe* This is lovely. Just lovely. Thank you
I adore this vid it's so perfect! You've done so well with this I bet it took you ages to do.
Love the song and I love the two characters. :)

Lovely video, perfect clips and great timing! :D

The two actors were great friends in real life, also.
If the Doctor ever had a romantic relationship, it was with Jamie.
4/Sarah shipper here. I do see what you mean.
This is brilliant. Well done.
Thank you for this cute video. The song will be forever associated with Two/Jamie for me now. Just like Van's Sexy Back.
Great vid one of my favrote Doctor Companion pairing it is right up there with Ace and Seven and Martha and ten
wow, that was wonderful! *adds to favourites*
@AlyceJackson123 DID NOT EVEN NOTICE THAT, omg ahahahahha Doc, what were you up to....
Wow, that was pretty cool to watch! Will have to get my daughter over with some 2nd Doctor / Jamie video's to watch, soon. :)
Thanks! :)

*rapturous applause*

2:28
I know; I love it. :)
this is the greatest video of all time ever made :D
Cute! XD
i think 500 of these views have been me...i cant stop watching this video!
@buffykidd1971
There's 24 years between the actors... same as John Barrowman and Gareth David-Lloyd ;)
There is only a 14 year age difference between Barrowman and David - Lloyd. Troughton died on Gareth 's sixth birthday
With the show and the actor or the actor of Jamie (Frazer Hines) and the actor of the Second Doctor (Patrick Troughton)?
OMG! This video is so cool! And they are so cute together! ^^
A question: Can anybody tell me from which episode was the piece that features the Doctor with Jamie and Victoria and is shown immediately after the aeroplane piece from the dominators taken (about 00:28)?
doro666 Tomb Of The Cybermen. :)
i ant seen the a lot of the classic but i think you have edited that so the doctor and Jamie
Could you do a music video for The Doctor and Ace, since they were VERY close to each other as well.
What episode is 2:52 from? This was a wonderful tribute, by the way. It's all just marvelous! :)
Grace Patterson The Space Pirates. :)
I actually meant where did you get the episodes. Did you get them on DVD or download them from somewhere?
amazing, who sings this song???
Special Kay t.a.t.u
Yeah, they love each other...but they aren't gay are they? Just best best friends?
In the 1960s: good friends. That didn't stop the shipping back then, and it sure doesn't stop it now. (The actors were great friends, and Troughton had two wives and a mistress.)
OMG, there are so many homosexual references!
No wonder why this show has such a gay following!
