I figured it out. Ichigo's power comes from his hair. He is always at his strongest when his hair is long (Vasto Lorde Form and Final Getsuga). So I'm assuming the final boss of bleach is when Ichigo's hair reaches his ankles

Aizen's hobbling around in a chair (it'd be hysterical to see him trying to hop on the chair in the middle of a battle with an angry face) Aizen's Reiatsu is insanely huge and might be a match to Ywhach, Ichigo needs longer hair again, should buy some hair extensions and Kyoraku and Ukitake are doing their own thing and chillin' out

Actually, the reason the sword is so big is simply because like most anime, the main character is gifted. Ichigo had naturally strong riatsu because

Ichigo's father is a very strong Shinigami and he basically helped Ichigo kick-start his powers. That, and if I remember right, the fake Zangetsu ("Old man Zangetsu") was also in his father's Shinigami move-set.

Honestly I find Ichigo's "Vasto Lorde" transformation to be bull. It is pretty useless in the show, and the fact that Ichigo died makes it even worse. I feel like he should have just gone normal Hollow or Zangetsu should have kicked in. But also, this proves something that Sosuke Aizen says later in the anime; he claims that without fear, evolution would not be possible. Ichigo feared for Orihime and his friend's lives. Perhaps this gave him the will to protect them even after death. I feel like it all just happened too fast, though.
I'm not sure if you read the manga or not, but since they don't produce the show anymore I'll just tell you. Ichigo's hollow power is actually his zanpakuto merged with his hollow. The Zangetsu everyone knows isn't his real zanpakuto, it's merely a fraction of his power. The reason being that his mother was attacked by a hollow before he was born. Technically he was saved by Zangetsu, the REAL Zangetsu. There's a reason that his hollow power has constantly come to his rescue in previous battles.
Blake Ritter That doesn't explain why Ichigo randomly turns into some super-hollow because of Orihime and his death. (P.S, already knew that.)

But if that was the case, why this weird Vasto Lorde-type Hollow and not his usual hollow? (I love how this part of youtube is actually fairly debating and not crying over it.)
Well, it's like his hollow said before. When he learned bankai his hollow did as well. So as he began to master the power more and more and grow stronger his hollow would have as well. Through the show his hollow mask changed more and more because he was beginning to master the power. I think the fact that his quincy power or the "zangetsu" we know had a lot to do with it. He said before that he was repressing Ichigo's shinigami and hollow power. If you notice the Vizard also said their masks had always been the same. Ichigo is the only one who had a mask that changed.
At least that's what I think.
