My absolute favourite little piece of this whole episode is the bright yellow car with the number plate PBJTIME. That's America in a nutshell, pardon the expression.
Roundabouts are not complex, why do people find them so difficult. And, if one is driving a 10000 lb truck maybe drive a bit more conservatively and be ready to stop for a held sign.
#8 Why so many folks think that a protected LEFT turn is also a protected U-TURN will never cease to baffle me. You are making TWO left turns, the first left would be protected, the 2nd left the onus is on you to wait for the clear, while the person is making a right on red. The person making that right gets priority over your SECOND left turn. "When making a U-turn, even at an intersection with a protected left turn, you must yield to any vehicles making a right turn on red if they would impede your U-turn. California law requires you to yield the right-of-way to any vehicle that is close enough to pose a hazard, which includes vehicles stopped at a red light preparing to make a right turn. This means that if you're making a U-turn and there's a vehicle making a right turn on red into the lane you intend to enter, you must wait until it's safe to proceed. Failing to yield in this situation could result in a traffic violation." - San Diego, CA
Making up fake quotes is never going to make you correct. A green left arrow protects a U-turn in California unless a No U-turn sign is posted. ""That person making the right turn has to yield to oncoming traffic that is close enough to constitute an immediate hazard prior to executing their turning movement, and that includes you making a U-turn, already established on that roadway. In short: the person making the U-turn has the right of way over the person turning right." - Sgt. Brian Pennings with the California Highway Patrol per ABC 30 Action News
@@dherzog02but if you notice the car is in the middle of a right turn when you’re about to make a U-turn, just yield and go about your day. Mistakes happen, no reason to go nuts over it.
As a Former Trucker of 20 years this is what I had learned. 1) Don’t Judge the way others driver even if they almost hit you. Just be glad they did not and be glad you were able to avoid it and go on your way don’t make a fuzz about it is been done. If you get in an accident do take pictures and take notes of how it happened get as much information as you can and if any witness get their contact. Also take note of weather traffic etc. Never admit fault never apologize. 2) If somebody for some reason is mad at you do not make eye contact. Act like you have no clue and if somebody brake check you make a turn to the next intersection or exit to the next exit and let them go on their way. If it seem like someone is tailgating you do not react to it. Just drive normal as if nothing is happening Do not brake check do not go slower do not suddenly speed up as this will aggravate the situation. 3) Make friends in the road not enemies. Be kind and courteous. 4) last but not least don’t be in a hurry. it won’t make much difference when you are driving local commute. If you were driving hundreds of miles it does make a difference even when you go 5 miles per hours faster on average but local commute will only be a few minutes and you risk accident and getting a ticket.
#2 1:37 - Insurance companies only pay out when you’re found to be liable and at fault, especially when it’s a 6 digit settlement. The cammer was not maintaining safe distance. Second, you can clearly see that traffic ahead is slow and congested. The biker was maintaining a wider distance to allow for him to coast during current traffic conditions. Biker was maintaining enough speed to not have to brake and drop his foot repeatedly, since it appears he can’t lane split wherever he is. Cammer had zero reason to honk, but was just pissy about the gap and was an aggressor over what amounts to a 2 second gap in slowed traffic. That’s likely why his insurance paid out 100k. Biker is an idiot and shouldn’t have brake checked a car because that’s just dumb to risk your life for a honk from an impatient idiot.
Well, you're exaggerating a bit. The gap was way longer then should've been, but still, like you said, traffic was slow and congested ahead. And that 2 second gap you talk about is more like 10 seconds. Car is at fault ofcourse.
I agree with the cammer being at fault, but I am genuinely perplexed at what the biker was trying to accomplish by trying to brake check.... while riding a motorcycle? I get being frustrated from being honked at without good reason, but I like being able to walk and breathe without being in sheer agony caused from an avoidable accident. You're almost right. If the right lane is going 70mph and I'm cruising at 79 passing them, then I get stuck behind a truck doing 74 or 75 in the left lane I am not the problem. It’s amazing how many of the cammers are the road ragers. And to think they actually uploaded it themselves, giving the cops all the evidence they need against them.
Typically, yes. But the brake checker appears to be at 100% fault. More importantly, the insured has to sign off on a settlement. The insurance company can't settle on your behalf. They defend YOU (the insured). Something seems like it's missing from this one. If they pay out, they've determined fault.
I agree that something is missing. I didn’t believe the cammer’s comments the first time I saw this. If you look at the traffic in front of the motorcyclist, it is moving at about the same speed. The cammer just didn’t like the gap that he was keeping. On another note, never brake-check a car when you’re on a motorcycle

They overheat quickly so any movement is better than none at all. This is why you’ll often see motorcycles slowly creeping to a red light rather than rushing up on it and stopping.
Maybe for air cooled bikes. All new bikes have fans. There's no reason this bike wasn't keeping up with traffic other than being distracted by whatever he was doing
Totally agree and I do not nor have ever driven a motor cycle. I always give them more space than any other car. THAT IS AN EXPOSED HUMAN. Brake checkinf is never a good idea. Agreed. That Costco has 2 main entrances and that one is the busy one as it is close to the I40 freeway. Really bad design for that entrance/exit, especially trying to leave. The left turn lane to exit is not all that lone, so it gets backed up quickly.
It’s amazing how so many people are so willing to get out of their car and physically attack a total stranger or maliciously damage their property (or threaten/confront/scream at someone) over absolutely nothing. “You honked your horn at me” or “you passed me in traffic and now I’m mad”. It shows how petty and short-tempered and angry and unhappy people are. It’s really sad. Just keep driving! And pay attention! And if someone beeps their horn at you, just keep driving.
In short: the person making the U-turn has the right of way over the person turning right."
- Sgt. Brian Pennings with the California Highway Patrol per ABC 30 Action News

That’s just average Loudon County behavior
"what are you gonna do, go fast?"
-then goes fast himself...
I get it, but that was pretty comical 😂
11. Why even think putting EVERYONE'S life at risk over some stupid BS is worth it? I swear people just need to learn how to move on and stop being snowflakes.
This is one of those scenarios where everyone is dumb. Acting out of spite isn't going to get you the win. Sigh...
The guy in the big truck in the roundabout is the epitome of those people
#2 1:16 You're the problem cammer. Back off. Lots of vehicles on on-ramp, nothing wrong with motorcyclist giving himself room and distance to accelerate and merge safely. Tailgating a motorcyclist crosses the line between stupidity and complete disregard for others' safety.
No, they're not, keep trying, though.

The pickup driver EVENTUALLY accepted that he was in the wrong.. which is bigger than most people are capable of.. but dude should have owned it right away.
#25 bro really thinks he is entitled to everyone moving out of the left lane when he is trying to speed
The cammer was camping in the left lane.
@@Woodcademy okay so was the traffic ahead of him?
@@Woodcademy where is he gonna go if traffic ahead is slowed down aswell

Dear friends - a dashcam is not a super-shield, or an underdog super energy pill. It does not protect you and yelling that you have one will not save you. Be nice. Use your brakes.
#22 "I was there first. He watched me arrive"
So, he was there first? : D
Number 22, the OP is the idiot here.
I have encountered this situation multiple times, just stop and let them pass by the time you “win” this argument, you realize how much time you actually wasted.
@@gabrielescumbartti9900idk why people who are the idiot driver post themselves showing how much of an idiot they are. If he’s trying to go that way why pull up to the guys bumper, just to prove a point? Got ego problems.
"your mom's a donkey" is the most unhiunged thing anyone has yelled out a car window
