I think redoing the clinch system would help prevent this style from being so common. I’d like to see a system that when you crash in it either starts an animation forcing the clinch. Which would force people to improve their movement and range recognition, or make the clinch the fastest animation in the game when you’re up against the invisible wall by far. I think this would stop people from just standing directly in front of someone and just countering the clinch animation with uppercuts or pop shots. Idk if that makes sense but maybe it could help
Then u bring back the clinch grinch which is bad already… just make repercussion bad when u catch them trying to pull counter that’s it, then people stop it

Another issue, low block in this game is unrealistically strong thus giving players like this the ability to nullify kicks to the legs/midsection with minimal effort/skill. Checking/catching kicks in real life is not easy, yet in game all you have to do is hold R2+L2. Not to mention, hitting your opponents “guard.” With round kicks to the midsection/head does hardly any damage to the overall block health, the animation where the fighter you’re using drops/tucks their elbows in to “block” incoming round kicks is laughable, if you did that in a fight with someone that actually knows how to kick properly you’re in for a ROUGH time. a full power kick to the side of your elbow/forearm will absolutely break your bones, my old Kru still has elbow problems to this day, years after retiring from competition where his opponent landed flush with the shin on the side of his elbow/arm (not the point of the elbow.) Overall, there needs to be a rework to the clinch system, as well as some changes to the block system. I know it’s a video game, with that in mind, i would be OK if they simply tweaked some of the numbers/values, for example, for a max level lead/rear teep, make the window to catch it MUCH slimmer, that and, make kicks to the mid “guard.” Have more impact on the long term block health, that would be a good start in my opinion.
If you can crash into your opponent, I could already see the spammers exploiting it and just crash and clinch spam people, or strike then crash and I can't see a punish for that other than backing up in the very right time.
I get how it can be fun. But it'd be more fun to develop your own style. Even if its not as effective, its so much more fun when you have your own style.

I'm a lot more of an outside distance fighter myself. These players that are constantly pressing me can be really frustrating and it kind of forces me to pull-counter/just box way more than I'd like. I feel like somebody pushing forward should really be punished more by front kicks and such for those constant movements.

You should be able to be more easily punished for standing and swinging in the pocket all day long. Takedowns should be the NUMBER 1 counter, it is too easy to stand and swing without any threat of takedowns. And no this doesn't even necessarily buff grappling it just makes it more realistic and fair in my opinion. Fighters like islam are so good at this in real life, he's always disrupting the rhythm of fighters when they throw too many shots or are too stationary, and what does he do it with? The clinch or a takedown
u use Volk against all the Naz clones playing Topuria because he has the footwork to evade, good health and good enuff boxing to exchange when you need to atleast. Ive used and tried everyone....Volk is the BEST pick against topurias of this style. Naz is lame as hell just like his minions, he, and them, will only use the MOST meta and best boxers in the game and never deviate from it....i.e....Topuria, Conor, Nunes, Periera, etc.
This game just isn’t very good at all, it sucks that it’s the only thing we got. I wish the UFC would partner with a fighting game development team, to make something that’s actually good with depth that takes some sort of skill. It’s way too easy to exploit everything in this game

I prefer fighting inside boxers that wanna throw hands vs people that just skirt the cage and run.
