Jessie, I just love your honesty about buying designer bags for the "flex". If we're really honest with ourselves, those of us who purchase luxury bags do it for the same reasons. The reality is that a good leather bag can be purchased for a few hundred dollars and perform the same function as a bag that retails for thousands of dollars. It's amazing how we've been conditioned to think that spending this kind of money is normal or necessary. I'd also like to add that once you reached my age (61) these accumulated purchases become a lot of clutter at a point when you're ready to simplify your life and surround yourself with things and people that really matter.
Bonjour! Merci for your message, I appreciate it so much! I have an Italian leather bag that I purchased for 40€, it is by far the BEST leather bag that I own. 61, What an absolute blessing you are 🙌🏾
Hey Jessie. I am proud to say that I am one of the rare women who is not affected by the luxury unboxings. I watch, smile, and enjoy. Then I go about my thrifting ways. 😂😂😂 Great video as always. 🌺
I purchased not one LV bag (for the first time) but ended up purchasing two, a LV strap and small leather goods. Because of the over-the-top unboxing videos (not all, but some). I have returned all of those silly purchases, except for my small leather good. I lost my mind for a second, but I am back. My motivation for getting my first luxury bag was because I wanted to do something nice for myself -- not always a great reason. I will prefer to find someone beautiful, luxurious and timeless from a vintage shop.
I love to watch but when it comes down to buying I will come to the press pay, think about it 3920403 times and do it over and over again. I can’t bring myself to do it !
I finally have all of the luxury bags I wanted when I was younger-with the exception of Chanel. One thing I have learned is that I will still sometimes get tired of a bag no matter how much I’ve paid for it except for a handful of classics. This is what stopped me from buying more. I had that feeling of “I got what I wanted, now what do I do?”
I love your look- it's very refined and classy. Don't pay attention to what people say. Sometimes people speak out of the fact they want the look but don't know how to do it. LOL You are very classy, the way you speak and carry yourself. I love it.
Girl, I appreciate you for being honest on the pressures of social media and caring about your community on UA-cam. I have no problem with folks having luxury items but we are so saturated with influencers unboxing and displaying all their luxury items and totally oblivious to their subscribers and there emotions and their subscribers mindset. What separates you is that you don’t come on your channel and flaunt. ❤️🙏🏽
This is an era of reassessment for me personally . I discovered that some of these bags aren’t even leather . I can’t even if a bag isn’t pure authentic leather. Also with all the horrible customer service & no perks these days, excessive greed , get more out of people while giving us less to nothing extra is highway robbery to me . The world right now is losing their minds driving cost to straight bank heists levels these days (ridiculous squared) . I can’t participate any longer . The energy of this new culture has forced me to save my money unconsciously bc I don’t want to give a dime to greedy opportunist who bank on me via excessive marketing to need validation for needing poor quality things with high price tags . After awhile you have to begin to start becoming bothered by retailers thinking we are this gullible and delusional that we will do anything for acceptance. If we stop participating, we send a message. I pay more when the quality & service match . If the scale becomes tilted slightly, I abort mission 💯‼️
It's not a secret that some of the bags aren't made of leather, like the LV signature monogram styles where only the trim is leather. It keeps the bag lightweight, yet durable. Some all-leather bags can be too heavy after putting your stuff in it.
So true about the way luxury companies used to take bags for free repair, like LV. The way they now charge for their OWN defects fixed (whether in time or dollars) it’s unacceptable
For a long time, as the price of Chanel increased, I no longer thought I could afford it. I think I would be happy to have the *preluxz* as my travel bag and not have to take care of it. By the way, I'm sure no one will have a hard time telling the difference. Thanks for the comparison.
I purchased my first LV bag in 1985 as a college graduation present. Fast forward to 2000s I noticed the quality of their bags had diminished and thus have never purchased another.
You are absolutely the best! The social media pressure is so real….to buy, to be thin, to have a curated house, etc. I have to keep reminding myself life doesn’t change or get better with the latest___(fill in the blank). I have for so long wanted a Chanel purse and a flat stomach 😅neither of which I want to pay for…😂I working on gratitude for all I do have…I’m rambling but I really appreciate your honesty and grace. Thanks for great content, don’t always have a ton of time to watch but always glad when I catch one of your vlogs.
This is the ramble sanctuary, lol! You are so right, once you get the thing, you will always want more. Extending grace and gratitude will ensure that we will never go without ❤️
I think the LVMH conglomerate might have something to do with the decline in the quality of several luxury brands of the years. I watched a few documentaries on the Arnault family.
I recently purchased a vintage LV bag from the early 1980’s and I noticed the quality is way better than my newer LV bags. The canvas feels much thicker and the bag had an all leather interior.
I appreciate your knowledge and honesty. I have been hearing that the quality of designer purses and apparel has declined significantly. The crazy thing is the prices are skyrocketing!
@@CappuccinosandConsignment Call it out! Plus notice the riots in France last weekend, those are about the ghettoisation, isolation and victimisation of immigrants from nations like Algeria, Morocco and other African nations trying to thrive and not just barely survive, in France. They are having the same issues as African Americans and hispanics have had and continue to have in the US, and they see how they are not given the same chances to work how they are brutalised by the police. The death of a 17 year old who was pulled over in his car, apparently head butted by police using the end of their rifles several times then ordered to not move his car forward when he was obviously injured, his foot went off the brake due to the injuries and the car which was an automatic inched forward so they shot him dead at point blank range. This is according to a witness who was travelling in the car and had to escape fearing for his life. It was captured on mobile phone as well. That death has sparked the riots and it took 40k riot police mobilised to put the uprisings down. It has been brutal and scary. This is class war and race war and the groups targeted the Champs Élysées where the LV head store is. Now this is no accident, because the First Lady Brigette Macron wears LV almost exclusively and LVMH is the richest organisation in France. So it's a symbol of wealth, elitism and political influence of the highest order. So in France right now wearing LV logos might not be particularly safe, and the more progressive people living in Paris and larger cities like Lyon, Marseilles are going no logo and toning it down. This is not over not by a long shot. I'm in Australia, with French blood and when some vloggers with channels in UA-cam had been previously talking about their trip to Paris coming up next month, I warned them. (Now even the Australian government is warning tourists in the bigger cities of France to stay in at night and exercise caution). They may think I'm being a downer but I'm just trying to increase their awareness and I think we all need to have that. It's sad because handbags and fashion are a place for light relief but reality intrudes also. On the one hand we have Pharrel Williams now Creative Director of LV with JayZ and Beyonce and other prominent black Americans opening things up for black people and radically changing the aesthetic, and on the other we have this extreme social tension. The attacks have been so severe that the home of a Paris mayor was attacked with a car that was on fire, with his wife and 2 children inside. They escaped with injuries. It's fraught, just as much as the issues about Balenciaga and fetishising child abuse are fraught. I love fashion and style but I don't love exploitation and poverty. It's hard to find the balance but we need to be careful these days.. For a movie about this context of ghettoisation see the movie 'La Haine' translated as 'The Hate', circa 1995. I saw it many years ago. However we can still enjoy our fashion obviously we are not personally responsible for these tragedies, good to bear in mind the complex tensions and issues though and be thoughtful and careful when visiting Paris. IMO.
I used to avoid buying anything that was not genuine, but then I thought it was just an item, and suddenly it wasn’t worth it. I might as well buy more funds and protect the value of real estate. Now I buy them all at *hotdups* . The shoes and bags are top quality and I feel confident carrying them to the store.
I’m totally with you on the flex factor…I’ve always purchased luxury for the flex because it spoke to my wealth…the wealth that my mom introduced to me…buy better/quality - buy less…great video
I’ve always loved ur formula/method to luxury purchases n it’s helped shaped me (and save) on how I shop luxury too! I am new money to the game n even iiiii can see the difference in how they’re made vs vintage. I don’t want trendy but classic/timeless so u can’t date me **giggles** Unboxings can have u in the rabbit hole n I am a free consumer watching y’all LOLOL!!
I just saw a posting for LV artisans in CA the pay was $18 an hour. My jaw hit the floor. I too said I was done purchasing for the most part. The quality isn’t there. They aren’t standing by their product. I WFH so not using daily bags. When I travel to less financially stable countries I don’t want to be excessive. That was my reasoning.
Reading all the comments is an eye opener. SO FULL OF WISDOM FROM VERY SEASONED BUYERS. Super thrilled to receive this knowledge. I do not own a single luxury handbag up until now. I swear without this video and the comments that follow I’d be totally lost. Thank you ladies. It’s one thing to live under fomo, or the peer pressure of hoarding and splurging on luxury goods …but only if it soothes the soul and doesn’t look like clutter after decades pass by. To. All the ones who have been there and done that splurging before I could even begin my journey ….thank you! ❤❤❤ a lady out shopping with her money buying luxury goods WITH wisdom is LETHAL. So grateful for the pearls of wisdom & honesty dropped here. Pure Nectar.
These days one has to have a will of steel not to be influenced and I can imagine it’s so difficult for younger people. My luxury purchases remain luxury because I make sure I don’t buy so often, otherwise they become commonplace in one’s wardrobe and no longer a luxury. You are spot on with quality issue too. Love your channel!
I was checking into the J W Marriott and the agent looked at my LV luggage and bags and rolled his eyes like it was fake, when I handed him my platinum Amex his attitude changed. People treat you better when they think you have money.
No matter if it's the *preluxz* or any other, my steadfast belief stands that only practitioners can perceive dissimilarities in the sack's looks or the metal constituents.
I adore this information, style, and wealth. My story is similar and I’m a guy. As a child in the 1980s I fell in love with LV Paris and LV by the French Company, Gucci, and Fendi furs. For me they are the epitome of quality and timelessness. I still love the vintage pieces even today. Unfortunately the quality has diminished and the price continues to rise. 🤦🏾♂️
I really appreciate your honesty and concern for your community. Some people are only concerned with getting the views to generate popularity and income. I'm glad that platforms are allowing people to monetize from doing what they've always done, but I think it's creating some greedy monsters that are leading to inauthentic content creators. It's one thing to be a fly on the wall via social media of a person who "does this," and it's another to start coveting people who are trying to mimic the aforementioned. I appreciate your humility, humor, and class. Thanks for sharing this. 💕
So very true. I am heading to Italy in a few weeks and not as excited about shopping. I am super excited about the food and wine though. In the past it was always the shopping first and everything else came later. Last year I thought about selling my vintage bags but changed my mind and will probably get rid of the newer ones instead.
I think there is another dynamic to add. IMO As recent as 2019 there were a lot more options in the entry level price range. There was something in most brands (barring hermes & chanel). Say you had saved $1200 (which is a lot of $), that could theoretically be done by putting $100 aside per month for a year. Only 4 years later and that same $1200 in luxury at best could get you a pouch in store. Maybe maybe you could get a canvas wallet on a chain that doesn’t fit a phone. The prices IMO have increased exponentially so many are simply priced out of what they want, a decent quality, classic long term item for all year round wear.
I buy them secondhand and also buy dupes. Not afraid of low name and no name bags either. It’s up to you how you want to approach luxury brands or not approach them at all and it’s all okay. Make sure whatever you buy it’s something you enjoy and feel good about.
There is no point in being selectively angry. So you don’t believe in buying fake bags, a purchase is a purchase, regardless of the intention. I personally think it's crazy to care too much about how people want to spend their money. I bought real coach, marc jacobs, and mcm. If it's more than 1500, I'll buy a replica *hotdups* . Guess what else I have in the bank, I'm a homeowner and drive a Lexus. I saw someone on UA-cam who had tons of luxury items, lived in their mom's house, and was broke
Love the honesty and your fashionable swag. Your closet is heaven. But you are right!! Omg first time here❤️your vibe and is spirit is beautiful. I just started buying what I want too
For me is about what is the brand doing within under served communities. As a woman of color, it’s too often I see people in my community wearing designer bags from companies that are not giving back to our brown communities. That’s a deal breaker for me.
Jesse, Thank you so much for talking about the "slave labor" that goes into these bags sometimes. Mostly women and children being exploited. Kudos to you. Flex your vintage bags with serenity. This was such an empowering video. Also, thanks for imparting your knowledge
What a beautiful discussion. Lots of universal concepts here that I can use for many different platforms. First time listener. Algorithm brought me here. Interest will make me stay.
Around 1991 I bought a leather Coach “feed bag” (“bucket bag”?) purse for $200 that I was actually in love with. I kept it polished and conditioned and carried it for 11 years. The strap eventually began to look worn. In 2002 I bought a replacement. It had gone up to $300 and the style had changed slightly. The zipper broke within a couple of months. I haven’t bought a big-name designer bag since. I have, however, purchased high-quality purses by lesser-known designers, and they’re usually vintage.
I agree I am not in the market for luxury but I don't by from shein or temu because of the treatment of workers. But yes also if I am paying top dollar I want the quality.
New subscribers.. I admire your style❤ I got rid of my LV bags years ago very true on quality not worth the money. Vintage is the best, I have few vintage pieces.
I made quality crochet handmade bags and we handmade accessory designers don’t get enough attention. No, I’m not LV or the others but there are some awesome handmade artisans that can stand up to these brands.
6:50 people used to say that all the time about my mom. she was very financially savvy. she knew how to move a dollar in the proper way. We traveled often and did a variety of vacations. We always stayed well dressed ... she shopps thrift stores and clearance. One help was momma was also a professional seamstress. So all my life I have had access to custom clothing and alterations. Which is a plus and a minus.
@@CappuccinosandConsignment trust yourself.... my moms example has helped more than I would gave ever imagined. Your next generation is listening! Keep teaching!!
I agree. I recently found out that some designers are not manufactured where they say. And this pressure that some of us have to have the it bag for the moment it’s bad.
Following you because you are credible. I studied design as well and work in the industry. I’m about quality and examine like crazy. Fabulous points in this video. This is my first time seeing you.
This is such a real, honest, and authentic vlog!!!! I promise you I have battled with unboxing videos and how it impacts me and or my community. I’ve decided to quietly buy and share affordable luxury items that are 1K or less. Unless it’s seen in a photograph. I am now just doing fragrances.
I unfollowed a few "influencers" because I realized it was affecting me in a negative way. I began to feel that I needed to have those things in order to feel successful.
me too! But they get notified when you unfollow and get peeved at you when they see you. posting elsewhere. I mean I seriously do not want to watch just unboxings that are serial ones...just a minor variation. It's boring af.
Just discovered your channel and omg i LOVE IT ❤! Yes i am male however my mom and i shared the same love of fashion. So all fashion intrigues me. Now i have to binge watch your video at five a.m. Oh yeah i subscribed and will share with my friends 💙🛍👝👜🧥👟👠
How is this the first time I'm hearing of you as obsessed as I am with Paris and Black folks' experiences in Paris!?? Love your personality and you make a ton of sense!! #subscribed
I'm a new subscriber, and I adore your channel already. The pressure from social media influencers for people to live above their means is insane. I own a few luxury pieces, and recently I decided that I would only purchase Coach and Brahmin because of their quality. People consider them to be lower level, but I love the way their bags are crafted. I refuse to buy something because everyone else likes it when it's not my taste. Thank you for keeping it real.
Idk who this lady is 😂 but the giggle and random french parts is taking me out 😂😂😂😂 and yes after the LV microscope bag I was like naaaah designer ain’t it. People are starving and this is what we doing. Wild!
Your video is one of many inspirations for us to share The Yuppie Way. The digital era began with difficulties that many people are still feeling the impacts of, living a life that does not reflect their true selves. We believe it is essential that our customers recognize and comprehend that material possessions are merely embellishments. Finding and refining our passions while learning how to master the mind is more important than any physical item.
I have a ton of purses or handbags, that have started to give away to my relatives a friends. Own a few LV bags, wallets, an make up pouches, an i never use them, they are in dust bags in the back of my closet. I carry a leather bag an wallet that cost about $300, an i love it, no logos, just good leather products. I will never buy another LV, Prada, or Gucci, i am beyond that point in my life
Hello, new to your channel, and I am loving it! You are brutally yet gently honest about vintage fashion and reasons we purchase or choose not purchase them. Looking forward to more of your videos, and I love your infectious laugh!😊
I’m about to send this video to my aunt because I want one of her Vintage LV. Recently they wouldn’t replace a tarnished locket that my mom purchased in Paris.
I agree! I went to school for illustration and I adore designer production however…. The quality is underwhelming when I walk into retail- too much mass production makes vintage the only way to go if at all! I only buy luxury shoes retail if anything
I have been going back and listening to a lot of your Vlogs. Really enjoy them. I grew up very much like you but God has blessed over the years financially. I remember once seeing Patti Labelle in the Philly train station with several LV trucks and bags. It was absolutely spellbinding. I wanted to be like Patti.😂
Sis Glamaholic is my go to right now…..over the past few years I’ve literally only worn one of my designer bags. Probably going to be cleaning out the closet and put in that money in my savings now that my perspective has changed as well.
My husband purchased me a speedy 30, and I carry it all the time. I never would have purchased it for myself because I'm not a bag person, but the thought of being gifted it is priceless.😊
Lol! I am a bag person, but would have never spent the money on any luxury bag and never even desired one, until my husband gifted me a LV on a special birthday! Even then, I had a hard time accepting it. But then I caught the luxury brand fever 😔. After 3 more LVs (2 more gifted by hubby) & 1 Burberry, I'm over the fever. I find myself carrying one of my Michael Kors or Coach bags on the regular instead.
Love, love, love that you stand in your truth. You presented very valid points and I wish that you could shout them from a mountaintop. Amen my sister. Whenever I watch those weekly un-boxings of the few you-tubers that I follow, I always wonder "where does she keep all that stuff?, and when will she ever wear all that stuff? Maybe it's just me, but I am not impressed with all that overconsumption. thanks for sharing.
This is what I LOVE your channel! Your authenticity in all you do. As a newer content creator the pressure is so real to continually purchase! I LOVE makeup, but my goodness I just REFUSE to purchase and review EVERY new release every week! 🫣 it’s not healthy for our mental health nor our ability to cultivate gratitude. If we never get to enjoy what we have and are always looking for the new. I love that you rewear your items and enjoy the occasional new pieces you present! You are absolute fabulous darling✨ Your Ma Mere did an amazing job, may she be rejoicing as we speak🕊️
You have me in tears re: ma mère 😭🙌🏾 MERCIIIIIIII! I can’t even imagine the pressure in the beauty field and I also never realized just how expensive makeup was. Every two mins there’s a new launch 😭! I appreciate you so much ❤️
I agree with you! I’m a little older than you and grew up with the labels and I do enjoy the look of them! However, I am over having to spend the huge increase on the bags and having to pay for any repairs should you need them! My last LV speedy the wire in the piping came out at the bottom about 6 months after purchase and our local Saks Fifth Avenue where I purchased it had closed so I had no reprisal… I could have sent it to another store out of state but a wait time up to 3 months, so I opted not to…years went by and we got an LV store in a local mall and the manager knew me and remembered that I purchased it before Saks had closed because she worked there at the time… they still charged me $500. to replace the piping. Needless to say I haven’t purchased anything else from LV ! P.s I love your style 😊
Six months!!!! That is unacceptable, for any designer item. WOW! I dont know why im shocked, I've been reading about designer items falling apart after a week. Merci for your time!
Hello, I just want to say you look like the coolest person to be friends with. Just from the video, your style, the items in your closet you look like you know your stuff. You come across so confident on who you are and I don’t even know you. I just stumble onto your video based on the title and wow thank you for your honest opinion on the luxury items. And you are definitely right about everything. Growing up being an 80’s baby, things were so different especially with luxury items. Seeing my parents and their items from 60s and 70s had more care into the quality of there work. I’m glad I discover you and look forward to following you on social media. I’m curious if maybe you can do a video on your loc journey as well and some hairstyles to share. I have locs myself and trying to get better with styling. The ponytail you had for some reason I can never get it right when I do it myself 😆. Thank you and have a blessed day!
Merci for your time and for joining me, I truly appreciate your time and support! Hairstyles, I’m a one trick pony 🤣 I only know how to wrap up a bun 🤣
Hello from Baltimore! I'm struck by your comments on quality, customer service and construction. I'm sad the classic Puzzle is being discontinued from Loewe because the Edge is clearly a less technical / easier to construct design. But, they are charging the same prices. It's a sign to me of all the things you've noted (I am a home sewer so always check those kind of details). I think I'm sticking with "classics" myself for a while.
Ha, the flex:-) That is me all day! I also have curbed my purchases of not just designer handbags but clothing items because the quality of the items is subpar. Poor quality- make and material- for a premium price is ridiculous. I am on the vintage train for now for a few items on my list. Thanks for sharing
This is the 1st time seeing one of your videos. It just popped up on my feed. Just want to say, I love your look & style. Would be my same aesthethic if I had the means & was 30 years younger! LOL! Regarding your topic, though, looking at the background of this vid, you apparently don't need to buy anymore luxury as you own a ton already! However, your message about the quality is spot on!
NEW TO YOUR CHANNEL AND LOVE YOUR HONESTY. I LOVE ME SOME LV AND BOUGHT IT VIA THRIFT OR SOMEONE WHO SOLD THEM PRIVATELY. I LIKE WHAT I LIKE, BUT WILL NOT SPEND THOUSANDS FOR ANY BAG, UNLESS I'VE REACHED SOME PERSONAL GOAL, ETC. THANKS FOR SHARING ...
Hello, I just found your channel and I’m so happy I did! I love this video and your reasons why the pause on shopping luxury bags. I recently have done the same, and one of the reasons is the quality, I have always loved vintage items and I too have realized that bags these days are not what they used to be. I’m heading to Paris in a couple months and I don’t think I’ll be buying bags either. Thank you for your honesty and for sharing your reasons.
Let's be honest...I love the treatment I receives whenever I carry my designer handbag that screams yes look at me or wear my big engagement ring rather than my everyday simple Cartier trinity band...lol. But like you I too also remember being a very young child and buying from the thriftstore. To this day I have many Vera scarves and Schiaparelli handbags and vintage jewelry..pins, bracelets and coats. Things were just made better. I have always love well made things...even before I even know the price I seem to pick the most expensive things. My mother was a master seamstress so I was taught to look at the construction of clothes and to know when something was poor quality. Today there are so many things that are made well but are not necessarily "designer" or are quiet luxury which I seem to now gravitate to in my 50's. I know am more selective if I even buy something because I have so much and really don't need anything. But there are those special occasions when I know I will still buy but know it's a vintage piece of art or furniture to add to my collection. I use to follow you years ago and just found you again...still love your videos.
Just stumbled across your channel and I love your message! New subscriber and I’m excited to go back and view your earlier videos. I really think through my luxury purchases and have wanted most of my luxury items for years before I purchased them and will hand them down to my daughter :-)
I'm so glad that youtube led you here! I appreciate you for joining me so much! My nieces are not pleased, they were set to inherit my luxury goods but now I have a little girl 😂😂
Jessie, I just love your honesty about buying designer bags for the "flex". If we're really honest with ourselves, those of us who purchase luxury bags do it for the same reasons. I am having a difficult time at 40 attempting to downsize my luxury bag collection. They are just taking up space for the most part.
I just got a new Chanel, Fendi, and Gucci and I think I’m done after 2-4 bag for the rest of my life! It’s unnecessary after 10 bags honestly!

Great video as always. 🌺
I absolutely love it 🤣❤️🙏🏾
I purchased not one LV bag (for the first time) but ended up purchasing two, a LV strap and small leather goods.
Enjoy! That’s what I’m teaching myself, we did it 🙌🏾
Exactly!!!! Wheeew I’m glad to finally be in this place.
Couldn’t have said it better! This is exactly where I’m at with it 🤷🏽♀️
What classics(which you don’t get tired of) would you recommend?
Until you buy that Chanel the feeling is different
I love your look- it's very refined and classy. Don't pay attention to what people say. Sometimes people speak out of the fact they want the look but don't know how to do it. LOL You are very classy, the way you speak and carry yourself. I love it.

@@CappuccinosandConsignment exactly, I’m absolutely offended by this markets behavior.
It's not a secret that some of the bags aren't made of leather, like the LV signature monogram styles where only the trim is leather. It keeps the bag lightweight, yet durable. Some all-leather bags can be too heavy after putting your stuff in it.
Interestingly, that in a *preluxz* , the inside sewing at the handles is more carefully made (leather is not so frayed), than in the original one.
I see why people sell knockoffs since the quality isn’t there anymore. Not being able to get the handbags fixed is crazy.
It's very unfortunate
Hi!What happened to your old channel?Anyways am glad you are back....Do they also make counterfeit on vintage *preluxz* ?
So true about the way luxury companies used to take bags for free repair, like LV. The way they now charge for their OWN defects fixed (whether in time or dollars) it’s unacceptable
For a long time, as the price of Chanel increased, I no longer thought I could afford it. I think I would be happy to have the *preluxz* as my travel bag and not have to take care of it. By the way, I'm sure no one will have a hard time telling the difference. Thanks for the comparison.
I loved this conversation, I buy what I can when I can quiet or loud and I love it 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Exactly ❤️❤️
I purchased my first LV bag in 1985 as a college graduation present. Fast forward to 2000s I noticed the quality of their bags had diminished and thus have never purchased another.
Omg! Do you still have your bag from college!?!
Vintage is always the way to go 🙏🏾
I appreciate your knowledge and honesty. I have been hearing that the quality of designer purses and apparel has declined significantly. The crazy thing is the prices are skyrocketing!
It feels as through there’s a price increase every week 😭
I love your personality and honesty! I love luxury handbags but also being careful balancing the flex vs quality and usability.
Merci for your time 🙏🏾
I’m totally with you on the flex factor…I’ve always purchased luxury for the flex because it spoke to my wealth…the wealth that my mom introduced to me…buy better/quality - buy less…great video
You get it! ❤️
I will forever buy vintage luxury cause everything was so good.
RIGHTTTTTT! When I pay these prices, I don’t want anyone saying “that’s so last season” I means they probably will but oh well, lol!
Wow, I respect and appreciate your honesty. You can see how open you are with your followers. Thank you so much for your videos.
You’re most welcome 🙏🏾
I just saw a posting for LV artisans in CA the pay was $18 an hour. My jaw hit the floor. I too said I was done purchasing for the most part. The quality isn’t there. They aren’t standing by their product. I WFH so not using daily bags. When I travel to less financially stable countries I don’t want to be excessive. That was my reasoning.
Are you saying $18 an hour in California?
Me blithering I've careful in other countries.
@@arnangela yes San Dimas.
@@suitelife22wow! I live in Central CA and In-n-out pays close to that. Very sad
Whattttttttt! Omg! There are people making six figures who can’t afford rent in some parts of CA and LV expects people to live on $18 ❤️🩹
Girl, when you said “are you ok?” I didn’t know I had fallen asleep, but that woke me up😅. Great video.
🤣🤣🤣
Mustard color looks great on you !
As usual I truly enjoyed the content
Merci! Mustard is definitely one of my favorite colors
We’re delighted to have you here ❤️
These days one has to have a will of steel not to be influenced and I can imagine it’s so difficult for younger people. My luxury purchases remain luxury because I make sure I don’t buy so often, otherwise they become commonplace in one’s wardrobe and no longer a luxury. You are spot on with quality issue too. Love your channel!
That’s so true! I realized that, when I was constantly buying, it no longer felt like a luxury. I appreciate your time so much!
all of this makes so much sense! We should all take heed.
🙌🏾❤️
I was checking into the J W Marriott and the agent looked at my LV luggage and bags and rolled his eyes like it was fake, when I handed him my platinum Amex his attitude changed. People treat you better when they think you have money.
Someone working rolled their eyes...WOW! I see that all the time and I can never understand.
But thats how people end up broke. Trying to prove something to randoms.
Why spend your life worrying about what people think of you? Seems such a burden.
The quality (or lack thereof) makes me so sad 😭
I really appreciate your honesty and concern for your community. Some people are only concerned with getting the views to generate popularity and income. I'm glad that platforms are allowing people to monetize from doing what they've always done, but I think it's creating some greedy monsters that are leading to inauthentic content creators. It's one thing to be a fly on the wall via social media of a person who "does this," and it's another to start coveting people who are trying to mimic the aforementioned. I appreciate your humility, humor, and class. Thanks for sharing this. 💕
Yes, I see them flogging inferior products for personal gain. It's very insulting to our intelligence.
I can't thank you enough for your time! There's so much to consume at every given moment, I do my best to stay in my lane and find my joy ❤️
I love your laughter and energy! I feel a similar way about purchasing luxury bags now. I’m wearing and enjoying what I have. It’s liberating!
Merci for your time!
So very true. I am heading to Italy in a few weeks and not as excited about shopping. I am super excited about the food and wine though. In the past it was always the shopping first and everything else came later. Last year I thought about selling my vintage bags but changed my mind and will probably get rid of the newer ones instead.
Bon voyage 🛫🥂
Yes the pressure of social media is a lot due to trying to keep up! With broke pockets 😮! I totally agree with you !
Hopefully people aren’t overspending, it’s possible to have it all 🫶🏾
I think there is another dynamic to add.
$1200 will barely get a keychain these days, it's absolutely insane just how little so much money can get you.

Quality is always the number on priority !

My second hand trips have produced the best treasures!
I made quality crochet handmade bags and we handmade accessory designers don’t get enough attention. No, I’m not LV or the others but there are some awesome handmade artisans that can stand up to these brands.
🙌
I recently started seeing so many artists hand craft on Etsy and the quality is better than half the bags at Neimans.
6:50 people used to say that all the time about my mom. she was very financially savvy. she knew how to move a dollar in the proper way. We traveled often and did a variety of vacations.
We always stayed well dressed ... she shopps thrift stores and clearance.

I agree! I went to school for illustration and I adore designer production however…. The quality is underwhelming when I walk into retail- too much mass production makes vintage the only way to go if at all!

Bonjour et merci beaucoup for your time! So many of these designers are cutting corners and it makes me so sad 😭

Ha, the flex:-) That is me all day! I also have curbed my purchases of not just designer handbags but clothing items because the quality of the items is subpar.
Merci for your time and message, I truly appreciate it!
It never fells, whenever Im Thrifting im always drawn to the MOST expensive pieces 🤣. We’re luxury at heart ❤️
100% right. Nordstrom altered my dresses no matter when I showed up with it.
I love your glasses.
Merci!
