- Poppy playtime chapter 3 had a crazy ending when catnap was taken by the prototype to somewhere completely unknown. In today's video we breakdown what happened to Catnap and what it means for the future of the franchise.
Catnap and the prototype have always had a weird relationship but how does it play into the story and the hour of joy? How does the ending explain what we will face in poppy playtime 4?

Another interesting thing is, with the cutouts, the ones with screams at the end are most likely dead. Like Kickin Chicken. But the thing is, Bobby Bearhug, Picky Piggy, and Crafty Corn do not have screams. With Crafty Corn, she must have stayed alive for a bit longer, as she was most likely the one to write in the vents when we are being chased by huggy, but, was eaten by Picky Piggy, who most likely ate Kickin Chicken, Bubba, and as stated before, Crafty Corn. As she says in her cutout: “Seared Elephant, Grilled Chicken, and Flayed Unicorn.” She must have ate those 3. As for Bobby Bearhug, she is still alive, as there is not a scream at the end. She also remembers us, and asks us to take her with us the next time, also saying that shes “lost.” This indicates that she knows who we are, and she might have given us the idea to leave the factory before the “Hour of Joy.” Also, she is most likely hiding out somewhere, if she is still alive (hopefully.) Picky Piggy is most likely alive too, as there is no scream, and she said she was still hungry, and asked us to be friends. The next chapter is rumored to be in a fairground type setting, as for one of the posters showed. (Not confirmed.)

My theory is that the Prototype saw how injured CatNap was and didn’t see him as useful or worthy anymore. So he killed him to add him to the shrine.

My theory is since CatNap was in so much pain as Theodore all those years ago, the hour of joy killing all the medics, he didn’t want to leave CatNap suffering in pain so it was a mercy kill that CatNap accepted

See I kinda agree with you and some of the comments - the Prototype gave up his freedom to save Theodore's life when he could have left him writhing in agony to die alone. If not for medical intervention he would have died for good. After he got zapped again that would have stuffed up his organs and everything - it was amazing that he could even move and I believe they only had him get up so that the Prototype could kill him without revealing himself to the players. He was about to die/was close to death. This time there was no one around to save him. He has a human brain and human flesh - both of which had suffered huge amounts of almost life ending electrical bolts before, no less. No one could survive that or if they did, they wouldn't last much longer without emergency medical attention. Catnap knew he was going to die and so did the Prototype. The prototype cared enough about him to save Theodore even though it meant giving up his freedom - there's no reason to spear him through the brain unless he'd already known he was done for. Rather than leaving him to die alone slowly and in utter agony, he offered his hand out to end Catnaps suffering, and Catnap took it because he'd rather die in glorious prayer before his 'God' rather than die slowly in agony.
I heard an idea that the catnap cutout noises were Theos labored breathing and I’m not sure if that ever healed. If that was what he felt it would make a whole lotta sense why he would give himself to the prototype after being electrocuted again
@@bethanyrldodson Yeah I think the laboured breathing was because of either how he struggled to breath after his first accident or both accidents, because of how busted up all of his organs would have been especially after the second time - his lungs would have been stuffed

Personally I think that the death of catnap was an act of Mercy considering that the prototype, possibly Elliot Ludwig, felt guilty for turning Theodore into a monster. He was the reason that the old became catnap and catnap's death was an act of mercy

-The Prototype had the chance to put CatNap and all of the living toys out of their misery ever since the Hour of Joy, yet he didn’t.
-If all the Prototype wants to do is get revenge on the scientists, then why did innocent people get killed during the Hour of Joy? And why does he want to become more powerful after he already got what he wanted?
-Why is the Prototype fine with CatNap torturing other toys?
In my opinion, the Prototype saw CatNap being at a weak point as a chance to take his body, so CatNap was like “oki doki” and let himself die

The story is just insane Chapter 3 had so many details on what happened to the kids. Didn’t realize that the electricity tied into the tape we heard before. I think you’re right that Cat Nap and the prototype were working together. The prototype does seem to have a plan and Cat Nap must have known about it.
Catnap offered himself to his god. The prototype saw that he was no longer of use. Kinda makes Catnap more 3 dimensional in the fact that in his mind he’s helping the prototype but the prototype only ever saw catnap as a tool.
I don’t think so, if that was the case he would have killed him way before now. When we electrocuted him and set him on fire, he was dying essentially but unfortunately since they are toys he couldn’t actually die unless you kill the brain. So Cat Nap would suffer continuously without any relief. It was a mercy kill, which is why he hits him in the head and not the body, to take him out completely so he wouldn’t suffer. I don’t think the prototype is actually evil. Hear me out, the prototype could have killed us numerous times. Hell in the beginning Cat Nap had us in his arms and he could have told Cat Nap to automatically kill us but he didn’t. Cat Nap was also following us around, telling us to leave. I believe the prototype is actually LudWig or possibly Dr. Sawyer. Cat Nap doesn’t start coming for us till we try switching the red smoke over, I think he was trying to stop us so Poppy could not get close to them. I think the real evil villain is Poppy who has been playing us all along. I believe she is actually Ollie too since Ollie knew exactly what she told us when he wasn’t there, they both sound similar, at the end when Poppy says be cautious something then doesn’t finish is verbatim to what Ollie said in the school, Ollie doesn’t call when Poppy is there and only calls when she leaves. If you look back in the video with her in Kissy when we first see them on the elevator before we go to the school, she has a phone on her. I think she is playing us. She knows where everything is. So I think everyone has it wrong with the prototype and are looking in the wrong direction. It’s Poppy who is bad and we are being played.
If you think he is only using CatNap you should know that Prototype was about to escape but CatNap was injured and instead of escape Prototype saved CatNap. So its just more than being useful to Prototype

I believe that Catnap sacrificed himself for the prototype and I believe Kissy was attacked by Ollie who we know stopped talking to us right when we going to fight Catnap we don't hear from him again so we know Ollie is a toy also but could Ollie be the prototype the whole time ? think about it he knew where to go and what to do and we know now that the prototype can sound like anyone just by being around them long enough right or maybe he is not the prototype then he is another toy that we want us to be killed as much as he want us to kill the prototyope just so he can leave that place. but here my twist on this future story lol i believe the main character we playing could be the prototype or Ollie or Poppy one of them will want to just our body to be human again and leave the facility that were I see coming out of the story in my theory lol

I think that Elliot being the prototype, is an interesting theroy! I see why he would want to get revenge on the scientists because he started the daycare to help children, out of the kindness of his heart. He would want to punish the people who turned what he thought was a beautiful thing into a glorified experiment.
Maybe the prototype punished catnap for failing to kill the player, but catnap asked him for forgiveness, but he refused, saying that he isn’t his best friend anymore, nor his servant, so he stabbed him through the mouth, and catnap was shocked due to the fact that his beloved friend and boss had betrayed him, but it lasted for a fraction of a second before he immediately died, and his dead body was taken away by the prototype to be integrated into his body.
In chapter 1 theres huggy wuggy, in chapter 2 theres miny huggies and kissy missy, and in chapter 3 theres kissy missy and nightmare huggy wuggy, its kinda weird how theres a huggy in every chapter i wonder what type of huggy will be in chapter 4
Huggy is, canonically, the most popular toy Playtime ever made. He's also the first monster you meet, and the face of the game itself. There's no doubt that he'll return in some form in the next chapter, but the real question is if it will be another Huggy variant or the return of the first one, as many have speculated. Since the Prototype seems to be an amalgam of the other toys, I wouldn't be surprised if his 'face' whenever we meet him was a Huggy head.
My guess is the same as yours for why the Prototype killed Catnap. Maybe he wanted Catnap's body so it could make catnap's body apart of itself. Just like when we killed Mommy she said that it would make her apart of itself. And then it goes and drags away the dead body of Mommy Long Legs. But also,in the gameplay while in home sweet home you go inside the house itself and see cardboard cutouts for daddy and baby long legs. What happened to them? Were they scrapped before they could be with Mommy? I would love to see you do a theory on that at some point Rexter.
THEORIES:
1. Bobby Bearhug and Picky Piggy might be alive because they are the only ones with no scream in their cutouts (craftycorn doesn't scream at the end but she has a scream in one of her voice lines), and because their names were with Dogday's at the end of the Smiling Critters episode, during the credits. Maybe we don't see them in Chapter 4 because Mobgames never shows characters who appeared in other chapters, but we may see them in some VHS or smt like that and explaining what happened to them
2. I love to think that Mobgames is confusing us and making us think that we know exactly what's evil (the Prototype, Catnap) and what's nice (Poppy, Kissy, Dogday, Ollie) inside the factory. Well, what if we don't? What if, instead of saving the souls/experiments, we are making things worse? I mean, its obvious that Poppy hides too many things from us, she doesn't explain things well, only when its convenient for her. Ollie and Kissy could be mean too, or they could be manipulated by Poppy. And the Prototype, is he as bad as they want us to think? Yes, he planned The Hour of Joy, but only killed adults because he blamed them for everything the experiments had been suffering (yes he killed inocents too, but how did he know who was good and who was mean?), but the kids were safe. And Catnap, he is just an asocial kid who found security in the Prototype. I'm sure he considers him as a God because he was the only one who seemed to understand him, and I'm also sure The Prototype made him think he would save them all with The Hour of Joy. And about Dogday... we can't deny his death was horrible, painful and sad, but what if he was a scientist when he was alive or something like that? what if he and the rest of the smiling critters were not thaaat inocent? Maybe they regretted it after becoming experiments, but the Prototype is not willing to forgive them because of all the pain they caused before... and Catnap only follows its orders without hestiating. In fact, maybe Bobby and Piggy are alive because they were not scientist when they were humans, maybe they were kids. Or at least Bobby, because maybe Pickypiggy adores the Prototype too.
I love to think that the game will end with Player killing 1006 and then realizing he was not evil and that he was manipulated by Poppy, and the ones he managed to kill were not that mean. My theory is not that crazy if we realize that the game is called Poppy Playtime. Yes, Poppy because of the doll and Playtime baceuse of Playtime. Co, but it has a 2nd meaning: it's Poppy's playtime. She is playing with us.

I noticed that 1 the prototype first came out. It was near his handwell in the cupscene hot map like put his mouth near the hand and I think the total kid did not know and he thought his hand was there , so he picked stay up but he actually stopped him
i just noticed that catnap got on fire only because he exhaled some gas, he shouldve just try to get us but not also scare us with gas.

I think I figured out who we are! I think we are Dr. Sawyer. In the tape the scientist said Dr. Sawyer was away …sort of.. I think we are Sawyer, I also think we aren’t human either. Dr. Sawyer wasn’t there but should have been in the hour of Joy. This could explain why we missed it. I also think we got turned into a toy of some kind which could explain why we can’t remember anything or what we actually did at the factory.
This might explain why poppy was so impressed by our abilities. They talk throughout the story about how some children are more capable at the games and tests, making them perfect for the bigger bodies experiments. But some of them were less coordinated than expected when actually put inside the toy bodies. Maybe we were a more accomplished experiment because we weren’t a child. Maybe that’s how we actually managed to escape.

It's clear that he was in charge of the experimentation, so the children & staff he used would harbour an incredible amount of hatred for him.
Ludwig tried unsuccessfully to reanimate a rat in its own body. That's it.
All other documentation and videos are of Leith Pierre - the former head of security - now being in the position of power and heavily involved in the toy experiments.
We see Ludwig's disrespectful interview with Catnap and I wonder - which toy came for him?

The prototype just wants peace really, for everyone, he killed catnap because he was in pain, and he deserved to rest. The real villains are the ones trying to free the big toys
I think it might actually be Huggy cause if you listen to the beginning of the attack, it sounds like his scream and him biting then you hear Kissy scream right after you hear her fighting back they sound different

Prototype can learn control his voice into full real victim voice you don't realize this factory abandoned for years so he makes his voice stable not in tape so he can still trick us think it huggy wuggy

my theory is The prototype can mimic voices.. Ollie is the prototype. We've never actually seen Ollie and he knows an awful lot for being a kid. How would he have survived anways? "Ollie" wants us alive, and when Catnap tries to kill us, the Prototype (who originally saved catnap) kills him. This would make sense if the Prototype wants us alive and catnap was ruining it. honestly by all the theories for chapter 3 I belive that the prototype is Elliot Ludwig
While I see it as CanNap offering himself to Prototype, I also saw it as Prototype just being like those big-time villains who'd kill they're loyal followers because they're no longer useful. While Prototype saw usefulness in Theo, he likely never really cared about him since after Theo was turned into CatNap, he'd follow Prototype around like a pet whenever they were together meanwhile Prototype just ignores him

The opposite, she literally stated why she doesn’t like him and want to put a stop to his ruling after playing the hour of joy. I think she also stated formerly how it was the prototype that locked her away.
CatNap knew doing he was going to die either way because, as you could see, he was really hesitant about going towards the Prototype. and the Prototype came as soon as it heard the screams of CatNap

While I agree that the prototype is going to add CatNap to his anatomy, I don’t think it was a mercy-killing. At this point, the prototype is so blindsided by revenge, and being power-hungry, that he is disregarding his fellow experiments. If he still wanted to help them, he wouldn’t keep them afraid and bound to the factory.
So when the prototype reached out to CatNap it was more like yes, you failed, offer your life and I'll use it well.

Side Note: some have theorized we were an orphan but I don’t think so, because why do they say we are looking for our coworkers if we were an orphan? Dr. Sawyer was very familiar with the kids and the toys, so that could explain why everyone knows us

My theory is that the prototype is becoming into a monster like the movie call the house that Jack built a film made in 2018 and poppy keeps telling Elliot to help them put a stop to it but what if poppy is with the prototype or trying to take over the prototype position

I personally think that the prototype doesnt care about mommy,huggy or nether catnap. He wanted to take over the factory but the monsters would not acceppt that. Indeed all of them are stronger than him so he couldnt defeat them. He needed an Chad to do the work for him and this chad is the player (YOU). He didnt attack us yet because he needed us to cook up the monsters so he can use them to make himself stronger like he can use mommy´s hands to be able to climb on walls catnaps head for the gas and bunzos drums so we cant sleep 😵💫😵💫. When he saw that catnap wasnt dead yet he killed him himself. He also needed to lead us the way to catnap somehow because he cant personally talk or show up on us. In the last Tape of poppy playtime 2 we learn that he has the ability to change voices. Now lets do a quiz or to be excact the easiest quiz: Who helped us without showing up just by talking throughout chapter 3 ????

I think Ollie is the prototype, and that moving the red smoke to the left container was a way for him to utilize it some how whenever he got catnap's body, adding it to himself.
