He’s got a huge uphill battle to fight the monsters in the industry. And I hope he can be successful. The product looks decent now but has really strong potential with that profile, the color combo possibilities are immense. Like Jaylen. And you gotta respect the financial risk to not only reject a boat load of money from Nike but also pony up a boat load of money to try and stand against Nike. That’s intense. I hope it does turn into a big win but I think right. Is it’s way too early to say that. It’s supposed to retail around 200 which to me was a little unexpected but it’s not out of the realm of the competition. I thought it was going to be a little more accessible for everyone but he’s also got to try and recoup some of that investment. It will be great to watch this journey.

The idea is fantastic..BUT the issue is ..the design. My community tends to not have the best taste. He needed to hire REAL designers with great taste. Maybe hire some of the guys who used to work at Nike who do not, anymore. He shops at Gucci and Louis and can see what great design looks like..so hire someone who can make a beautiful shoe…and find someone in his circle that actually has REAL taste..not objective taste..and let them be the final approval. These companies do not work..not because we won’t support..it is because the designs are bad. For better or worse, Nike has great design..which is why they have lasted. Mercedes has great designers. Ferrari. Tom Ford. He needs to not be the final say so..because the design is not good at all.

I hope this does well. Ive always like alternative shoe brands! I wore Starburys, Proteges, BKs, Ewings, and even own pairs of Bobby Hurleys In the Zones from Foot Locker. I got my favorites from Nike, Jordan, and Adidas but I root for Reebok to get back on track. Nice and Affordable shoes that can hold up and perform are important in this economy. Marbury doesn't get enough credit. He walked away from a lot of money and and probably lost alot too by partnering with Steve and Barry in his prime where Shaq made a huge profit. Not knocking him for that but I will always respect what Marbury did.
