Last Sunday I watched the video and I was almost brought to tears thinking if Jesus Christ was standing in front of me HE would be saying the same thing as what I heard tonight. I have always known that politics was for the greater good for all not for our individual wants but for the good for all. The reason is our cities, states, and communities mainly make the laws. The federal government is suppose to make laws that are for the whole nation as a whole. For the good of those who can't help themselves. Government is not geared at helping one group of people or another. I am 74 years old and I have know this to be true during my life. Please, Please, I can't stress enough that this man on UA-cam has the way of the Lord, Christ and so please listen to what he says. Mr. Andy Stanley can read between the sentences so that he can really hear the WORD. God Bless You, faithful servant. Elizabeth B
MATURITY IS WITHOUT A DOUBT, THE VEIN WITHIN THIS SERMON. IT DOESN'T COME WITH AGE, IT COMES UNDERSTANDING WHO, WHAT, WHERE WE ARE! "LEARN TO LISTEN; LISTEN TO LEARN."
I see what the premise is, but my objections to the left is not political, but biblical. Can anyone name a sin that the right is trying to impress on the whole nation? In this country we have the privilege (and I would argue obligation) to have some influence on who is in power, through elections. Political disagreement is one thing, but Christians should not be disagreeing on what is sinful and ungodly, and which candidate is on the right side as a whole. I can care for the poor without embracing Socialism. But no Christian should be voting for killing His creations, Homosexuality, church persecution, slander, bear false witness, criminality, fighting authority (police) in place by God, etc. If I was a nonbeliever, I would say "ok you vote for whoever and I vote for whoever." But for me this is a theological issue. My political views on these issues is not flawed and will not change, because they are rooted in biblical truth, which never changes.
How about hypocrisy? The right saying they are for family values yet failing to call out the politicians they support when their behavior does not support the value yet denigrating the left when they do. Regarding killing God's creation, I agree, I also don't support the death penalty because it is also murder. DNA has confirmed that the legal system can and has made mistakes. Aside from that, I simply believe in leaving vengeance to God. Church persecution is subjective. I honestly think it is exaggerated to instill fear. Real Christian persecution exists in other countries where people's lives are in danger. I don't understand your statements on slander, bearing false witness, and fighting criminality because both sides are guilty. Give me one example of the left and I can give you one of the right. Fighting authority, I agree, however; I must recognize that there is a problem that no one wants to address until there is a tragedy and things get out of hand. I do not condone or support any type of disorderly conduct but I recognize the frustration of those who believe the underlying conditions will never be addressed. I can only try to listen and reason with them. In addition to the authority situation, I've seen and heard so many Christians disobeying the stay-at-home and mask-wearing orders yet justifying their positions by claiming government oppression. Capitalism, socialism, and other forms of government are human constructs and I don't understand how the church decided which one God chose. A lot of the points you made were once condoned by this country while still claiming to be Christian so where was the church then? I'm a Christian and an independent who is disgusted with both parties and disappointed with the type of church pastor Stanley is speaking about. It is unfortunate that these types of churches have the loudest voices these days.
Christ said to love your neighbor. The first commandment love ME over your Gods, that includes wealth, etc all our pleasures. Love your neighbor as yourself. Christ also said judge not for I am the LORD. I personally want you to judge me not the Lord, He knows my faults. It is not about socialism or any other parties that are in power. The early fathers of our nation, as I learned from a video in ca class room in a school that they, the Founding Fathers, did not want our government to be controlled by the Republicans or the Democrats but by THE PEOPLE.

Couples and love?
That is the most naive thing I’ve ever heard. Funny how he goes right to social justice issues and ignores everything else. Augustine- Aristotle....
