New subbie. There is no way I’m paying anyone to sew down my wig again. I’m definitely doing it myself from now on. I will be able to take control of how tightly I sew my cornrows and I will be able to take it off more easily and treat my own hair😍 I used to make my wigs last a month or so together my moneys worth after paying domest to sew it down but noooo more! for fragile edges i recommend rice water on the braids before you sew them in . i spray rice water and leave in conditioner for a few days before i install the wig to ensure that my hairs not too tight and that it's moisturized

I dont usually like the idea of sewing down my wigs since i love throwing it off at the end of the day lol. But ill be going to a theme park soon so I dont wanna be worried about it falling off on a ride. Last time i went to a theme without sewing down my wig i was so worried about it falling off and trying to discreetly hold it down across my shoulders. Luckily it never fell off but i didnt have a pace of mind either. Hopefully this helps.
Dwan Hagens Hey! Crochet braids are great but more of what I consider a permanent protective style. With wearing wigs you can switch up your style anytime you want and maintain your hair underneath! But wearing wigs isn’t for everybody! If I were you, I would try it and see how you feel about it! It’s been such a blessing to me! Lol!

With doing those things you’ll ensure that your wig looks more realistic and won’t fall off! LOL! It might be kind of hard to do at first but with practice it’ll get easier.
natalijamartina Hey! To remove the wig you just cut the thread. Once you start cutting it will come off! I plan on doing a video on that soon! I usually leave my wig on for 2 weeks. amani alyssia I like to deep condition every week so I usually take it down every Friday but I never keep it on longer than three weeks at a time. You can keep it on as long as you would like though.
Edelina Pop Sewing it down allows you to easily remove it and sew it back on. When your ready to wash your hair simply remove the wig and sew it back down after.
