I know it is not a lot of miles to you but my folding ebike got me back to riding and helped me rehab my knee. I have a bit over 1000 miles on it. Now I can ride normal bikes again and go up and down stairs easily. I still ride the folding bike when I'm tied and might need help with hills on the way back home. So if you are having trouble spending time on your bike, I highly recommend a folding Ebike. I have a Lectric Lite.
Yes an ebike is excellent physio recovering from severe illness or injury. Some people with disabilities use bikes if they can ride better than they could walk. If they're new to riding or had low energy they try ebikes.
I ride my little jetson bolt around my neighborhood almost everyday. Love that little thing. I have a big steel touring bike for longer stuff but zipping around the block is always fun.
occasionally you come across designs that don't have a secondary catch on the folding mechanisms. i think this is the minimum, at least on a folding stem. (one bolt breaking doesn't lead to collapse) a brompton for 500 dollars is a great deal. could be stolen

lol great video! the one I want to see you ride is the $20 bike tbh! I think it would be great because people would react like "you rode from THERE on THAT!" sure it's physically harder but it's a conversation piece!
I recently got a Dahon P18 on the cheap (20 inch wheels), absolutely loving it having not cycled for years. I'm struggling to find a back-shelf which will fit though, trying to search online is a bit of a mystery bag. The only ones certain to fit the bike are from far distant seas and look a bit dodgy. Are you able to offer any tips? Loving the channel, a new favourite. eBikes in the UK are becoming a bit of a problem, the delivery riders all have the "fat tires" and modified electronics (illegal), they're essentially motorbikes pretending to be cycles.

I have people say how good it looks so like yourself prefer folding bikes also I fitted a NCX SA SUNTOUR seat post that pivots rather than the pogo stick action its so comfortable I also added a bikeroo saddle appreciate not comparing like with like but if you want to customise a bike you can have fun doing so enjoy your videos ...👍🚲
Just had thought...you could buy very cheap full size bike then saw it in half & then try to make it foldable with your own hinge! Not easy but satisfying if achieved! Regards.

HI Derek, I use a heavy chain lock similar to this one here amzn.to/3IbDhMQ and also use the kryptonite d lock and cable amzn.to/49oKe9w on big trips with two bikes, cant be too careful!
As far as buying NZ house and land the average house price here is $925,000NZD (as of Jan 2024). You would be extremely lucky to find anything at 100k, a quick search of Trademe- NZs biggest realestate site- shows nothing as far as a house, though you can get small pieces of land in far north, far south and central alpine regions
I'm guessing if there was real estate for less than $100k Andy wouldn't be a hobo and we might not be watching his channel.
I can't handle the big chain, so take my chances with the u lock.

Those "classic" bikes were ok around the neighborhood but torture to go far on.
I just got my girlfriend a "new" dahon with nexus7 gear hub. It was stored on a boat for ten years and never ridden. Wealth disparity is bizarre.
That suspension bike was a good deal. In Canada I see them for $400 or more.

Haha! Yes you gotta buy a ticket to be in to win it! Once i a while ill try, you can go and look at the odds on the lottery websites they're like 33 million/1 for big draws plus someone else could get the same numbers as you too. Its a bit of fun sometimes I will spend 2 bucks to keep the dream alive!
