on average batman has shown far more times that if he wanted any of the other justice league members dead they would be dead as well... or in situations where batman kills he has failsafe (think of a far deadlier Amazo) - and it will absolutely mop any of the members up ..batman is by far the more deadly hero here
@@Farreachyet some of those require him to be alive. If flash wanted to, Bruce would be dead then and there. And in a straight fight Bruce would lose to almost all the JL. And Batman no longer has failsafe, he didn’t even make it to begin with. The vampire event shows this nicely, of all the heroes on earth, only one needed to die. The rest could either turn vampire or just be immune. Flash was the one the vampires had to kill as he would drain the earth of blood in a matter of moments. Now imagine him just running into people like in deceased. Imagine that carnage, nothing and no one would be able to stop him.
"Speedster" on its own is an idiotic concept. They'd all be naked... and they'd kill every person they tried to save... and they'd destroy the environment around them... and they'd just end up killing themselves... and... well... they wouldn't be able to stop, and assuming the ground could actually handle the force, they would end up drifting off into deep space.

You still need everything to go right, and you're done if he doesn't blunder into the trap. It'll also probably kill him if he does. ...I haven't read this, but it kinda seems like the point wasn't "who was right," but rather that no one was. They were lashing out, and that's never right. I will say that Barry crossed more of a line though.

Literally; this whole arc was set up by Thawne behind the scenes. Purely as ‘revenge’ for Flashpoint Batman killing him. Didn’t matter Bruce has literally nothing to do with it, he’s just the target of Thawne’s frustration. Ends up with Gotham destroyed, Alfred dead and Batman at his lowest. Worst part is it was a minor thing to Thawne, not even something he’d stay around and watch. Just a brief something he cooks up for Batman while he goes back to hurting Barry.
Wally West has been done so dirty, he was the Main Flash for a significant amount of time, we watched him grow up and get married. So when they got Barry back in New 52 they just wiped him from existence and replaced him with another Wally/Wallace (yes the Black one) but they they brought him back in rebirth just to kill him in stories and make him suffer. They call him Flash but he's not really THE Flash cause Barry's the Flash, he can't be Kid Flash cause that would regress his character and even his legsl name is taken, my guy can't be anyone. He's not married to his wife and his kids are just gone.
Uh, this comment is YEARS out of date. Wally is currently the main Flash, married, and has all of his kids. This has been the case for like three years now.

Talking pure fault, this whole Timeline is Barry fault, since he screwed everyone over by going back in time to save his mom. Granted, it's not his fault the writers did this, but the OG Barry never would have been so selfish. All Barry knew is he's helping basically a Goddess in trying to save the timelines 2. The Timeline change isn't Barry's Fault, it was Dr. Manhattan's. This is the current Canon since 2016.

Gotham City is too corrupt to save those like Bane or Joker or Poison Ivy or even Harley Quinn. There are times that they successfully turn themselves away from life of crime i.e. Harley when she was deemed "Sane" in Arkham Asylum, but because people stereotyped her every way in the episode, she snapped and went back from Harleen Quinzell to Harley Quinn again and it was over the fact that the person behind the till counter didn't remove the security tag. Even in the cartoon series, when Two Face gets taken back to Arkham and when he's undergoing electrical therapy to revert back to Harvey Dent, he asks who's footing the bill and when he finds out/sees that it's Bruce Wayne, Harvey's side of Two Face comes alive saying "Good old Bruce Wayne! Always there for me!". At the end of the day, Bruce doesn't kill them because he wants to rehabilitate them as much as possible like reunite Victor Fries with his wife Nora (which does happen and they walk off to live a quiet life whilst Nora lives out her remaining days with Victor) in Arkham City and Arkham Knight. Barry however, won't give two shits whether or not he changes the timeline because he is such a mommas boy and the last time he did that which resulted in the Flashpoint Paradox, it caused shit to happen - Bruce was the one who was murdered, Martha literally turning insane and becoming The Joker, The Flash being Reverse Flash, Aquaman/Wonder Woman etc all were evil and warring against the good guys and Thomas Wayne being Batman (who kills people without warning).

Probably gonna have his suit have an anti atasis field projector well the rest of the cave activates a full stasis causing any object moving faster then a specific speed cap to immediately be stopped forcefully, some sort of fluxuationg variable stasis so flash cant just figure out the wavelength and vibrate through eaither. Im sure the anti stasis suit would be helpful in a ton of situations considering how often the trope of using some sort of futuristic tech to lock batman in place is used
Sometimes the writers hate Batman and have him lose situation’s that he would’ve obviously had contingency plans for (like this one). This is pretty much how it would always go when Batman tries to actually fight a JL member. If they wanted Bruce dead, none of his contingencies could actually stop them.
Actually they would. Some would incapacitate them but they wouldn't kill them. For example, he used fear toxin on Aquaman which made Arthur fear the water and caused him to become weak or used a kryptonite batsuit against Superman in Injustice 2.

I always found this to be poor on *Barry's* part. They're both making valid points and clearly have different views on whether the price of what they do is worth it. Then Barry crosses the line first and goes after "dead Robins". Bruce retaliates in kind, only going places where Barry steers the conversation first. Barry's response? Going straight to violence showing he can't handle it despite bringing it up first. So what I took from this is Barry can dish it out but can't take it. Which makes me respect the Flash a little less.
Based on a misinterpretation? Barry said girlfriends and sidekicks are hurt and killed. Then he named examples. His iris, Batman’s robins. That is how an argument goes. Batman jumped to attacking Barry’s character, thus he crossed the line. And he is the one who should have lost respect for. Flash didn’t resort to violence, he gave a demonstration about how vulnerable humans like Bruce are.
Maan imagine w fight between these two with both written wrll. I do belive if flash was written well, he could be a god in the sense. Barry didn't cross a line. He was spitting facts. This line of work gets sidekicks killed. Ask yourself how many more times a side kick has had to bite the dust versus the main hero.

Sure, he's smart enough to rival Devoe, but he's not smarter. Not even Batman could beat Devoe with prep time. Devoe took Batmans trick and mastered it because he knows the likelihood of someone making a very specific move. Yes, he's been wrong in the past because he didn't account for the emotions someone would feel, but he's probably the only one that could properly defeat The Flash with prep time. Not Batman.
Flash has always had the benefit of low stakes. His villains have rules, his sidekicks are plucky try-hards, and every so often he goes to an alternate timeline instead of facing real consequences for his actions. When push comes to shove, Flash crumbles and runs. He'll be ok, but he'll always leave everyone else behind.

Jason Todd died but that was because he was reckless, whereas every other Robin - Dick Grayson, Stephanie Brown, Damien Wayne and Tim Drake knew the consequences but still decided to join Bruce on missions. Barry on the other hand created an evil version of himself (Reverse Flash) and a new timeline with the Flashpoint Paradox only because he wanted to try and save his mother from being killed. It took him a long ass time to realize that he cannot change the timelines like that (hence the meme "Goddammit Barry!" lol). Was Bruce in the wrong? Yes. Was Barry in the wrong? Yes However two wrongs do not make a right. Bruce was in the right to yell back at him for being a crappy mentor. Another thing that really people don't understand, is that the difference between Bruce and Barry, is that Bruce tries to rehabilitate his enemies like Two Face or Harley Quinn or Joker, but because the Gotham justice system is so corrupt, they get out easily or the fact that Arkham Asylum staff are corrupt, they can easily escape i.e Joker having one of the security guards in his pocket in the Arkham Asylum game.

Man, you know what. I want to see Batman and the Flash go at it. The story should start off with them palling around the way that they do, and for some reason they get into it. Nothing to alter them from their current state other than an actual brawl where someone is going to the infirmary later. Batman would be defending himself, but only because Flash would have to stay ahead to keep Batman from gaining any advantage. Batman would probably try to blind Flash 🤔 I feel like this could be a good one
Since most people here don’t understand. The point of the issue was that both were wrong in a way. But that isn’t true. One of them clearly overreacted. Flash did start this, but to understand what he truly said, let’s simplify the statements. “Superheroing puts loved ones in danger, and gets sidekicks killed” -flash That was said in the context of Wally west’s death being told to him a few hours before. Now let’s look at Batman’s response. “You are the worse mentor here. You forgot your sidekick” Context, Wally west was erased from existence by Dr manhattan. He managed to survive. And in the multiverse, Barry was the only one to remember there is someone missing. Then flash acted, not maliciously, he ran through the bat cave to remind Bruce to not run his mouth when the person he is talking to has superpowers and could kill him effortlessly if he so wanted. Keep in mind he stayed calm that entire time as, similar to Superman, he has to constantly control himself, his speed, and the destruction he leaves behind because flashes are some of the most impulsive characters yet if they allow themselves to be impulsive people die. Additionally, besides being wrong, overreacting, and being unable to take a simple statement, batman was also a hypocrite. As in this issue two of his dead and forgotten sidekicks(Gotham and Gotham girl) somehow came back to life, only to die again. Edit: again this gets overlooked, the person Barry viewed as a brother, the closest person he has to family was just brutally murdered, and batman told him.

I am a Batman fan and one reason I have always loved his character in the Justice league is because he is in a group filled with super humans, in a one on one he is not supposed to be able to beat any member without assistance or prep time(including flash) he is always in impossible situations where victory is slim (just like in injustice) but he always finds a way with what he has...and through his character i learnt the mind is the most dangerous weapon

This is why we need to add more context to these comic shorts. People are just gonna be confused and try to pick sides or miss a bunch of points. Idk why people are even picking sides in this particular instant- Barry is grieving and he’s just being honest with Batman about their line of work always hurting innocent people. He then used the Robins as an example. Bruce’s response was emotional, which is really unlike him especially since Bruce would be able to tell that Barry was emotional. This is basic human interaction. Bruce is supposed to be a smart character, he even comments on the fact that Barry isn’t being his “normal self” meaning in that moment even HE acknowledged that Barry wasn’t in the right head space. And he still decided to comment on Wally. As always, writers will make Batman seem stupid and inconsiderate whenever it fits a narrative. And then make comics where’s he’s extremely observant of other people’s emotions or perceptions of him.
like yeah what Barry said was not great but he was griving something a lot more recent than Jason Todd's Death. It's not a great thing he said but its more understandable than Bruce's return shot

Haven’t read this myself (hard to keep up with comics these days on top of other hobbies), so I’m probably looking at this wrong, but here’s my thoughts. From the main panels I saw, Barry was more grieving that their line of work gets their loved ones caught in the crossfire. The main part mentioning a dead Robin was in the same sentence as him mentioning that Iris (one of his folks) meaning he was also calling out being tired of his own failures. So while Flash is also wrong for what he said and I don’t condone it, (let’s be honest, grieving cause folks to do over the top stuff) Batman’s retort felt completely out of spite, so felt more personal for also attacking Barry for something out of his control. Though I admit there is something refreshing about seeing someone put Batman in his place for once as opposed to keeping him on the pedestal. But those are my thoughts.

He wouldn't kill, that'd be breaking his "No kill" rule. However, in one comic, he did in fact shoot Wally in the spine with a vibranium bullet which caused Wally to suffer seizures for days due to being a speedster.
In the many versions of Batmans contingencies, Flash was always stated as the most dangerous and difficult to stop. They only work if the flash is not running optimally and is instead running slower than normal. If something is controlling the Flash, they won't have the brain speed to control him at his top speed.

Ends up with Gotham destroyed, Alfred dead and Batman at his lowest. Worst part is it was a minor thing to Thawne, not even something he’d stay around and watch. Just a brief something he cooks up for Batman while he goes back to hurting Barry.

Gotham City is too corrupt to save those like Bane or Joker or Poison Ivy or even Harley Quinn. There are times that they successfully turn themselves away from life of crime i.e. Harley when she was deemed "Sane" in Arkham Asylum, but because people stereotyped her every way in the episode, she snapped and went back from Harleen Quinzell to Harley Quinn again and it was over the fact that the person behind the till counter didn't remove the security tag.
Even in the cartoon series, when Two Face gets taken back to Arkham and when he's undergoing electrical therapy to revert back to Harvey Dent, he asks who's footing the bill and when he finds out/sees that it's Bruce Wayne, Harvey's side of Two Face comes alive saying "Good old Bruce Wayne! Always there for me!".
At the end of the day, Bruce doesn't kill them because he wants to rehabilitate them as much as possible like reunite Victor Fries with his wife Nora (which does happen and they walk off to live a quiet life whilst Nora lives out her remaining days with Victor) in Arkham City and Arkham Knight.
Barry however, won't give two shits whether or not he changes the timeline because he is such a mommas boy and the last time he did that which resulted in the Flashpoint Paradox, it caused shit to happen - Bruce was the one who was murdered, Martha literally turning insane and becoming The Joker, The Flash being Reverse Flash, Aquaman/Wonder Woman etc all were evil and warring against the good guys and Thomas Wayne being Batman (who kills people without warning).

Actually they would. Some would incapacitate them but they wouldn't kill them. For example, he used fear toxin on Aquaman which made Arthur fear the water and caused him to become weak or used a kryptonite batsuit against Superman in Injustice 2.

I always found this to be poor on *Barry's* part.
They're both making valid points and clearly have different views on whether the price of what they do is worth it.
Then Barry crosses the line first and goes after "dead Robins". Bruce retaliates in kind, only going places where Barry steers the conversation first. Barry's response? Going straight to violence showing he can't handle it despite bringing it up first.
So what I took from this is Barry can dish it out but can't take it. Which makes me respect the Flash a little less.

@@ked49 Bruce already knew the consequences of taking the robins out on missions with him. Jason Todd died but that was because he was reckless, whereas every other Robin - Dick Grayson, Stephanie Brown, Damien Wayne and Tim Drake knew the consequences but still decided to join Bruce on missions.
Barry on the other hand created an evil version of himself (Reverse Flash) and a new timeline with the Flashpoint Paradox only because he wanted to try and save his mother from being killed. It took him a long ass time to realize that he cannot change the timelines like that (hence the meme "Goddammit Barry!" lol).

Man, you know what. I want to see Batman and the Flash go at it. The story should start off with them palling around the way that they do, and for some reason they get into it. Now let’s look at Batman’s response.

Context, Wally west was erased from existence by Dr manhattan. He managed to survive. And in the multiverse, Barry was the only one to remember there is someone missing.
Then flash acted, not maliciously, he ran through the bat cave to remind Bruce to not run his mouth when the person he is talking to has superpowers and could kill him effortlessly if he so wanted. Keep in mind he stayed calm that entire time as, similar to Superman, he has to constantly control himself, his speed, and the destruction he leaves behind because flashes are some of the most impulsive characters yet if they allow themselves to be impulsive people die.
Additionally, besides being wrong, overreacting, and being unable to take a simple statement, batman was also a hypocrite. As in this issue two of his dead and forgotten sidekicks(Gotham and Gotham girl) somehow came back to life, only to die again.
Edit: again this gets overlooked, the person Barry viewed as a brother, the closest person he has to family was just brutally murdered, and batman told him.

In his speech, where he states that their line of work "gets Robins killed", he's literally using the fact that they both keep losing people. He even speaks on losing others like Iris and Alfred. Literally none of that was meant to be a jab at Bruce.

I am a Batman fan and one reason I have always loved his character in the Justice league is because he is in a group filled with super humans, in a one on one he is not supposed to be able to beat any member without assistance or prep time(including flash) he is always in impossible situations where victory is slim (just like in injustice) but he always finds a way with what he has...and through his character i learnt the mind is the most dangerous weapon

He then used the Robins as an example.
Bruce’s response was emotional, which is really unlike him especially since Bruce would be able to tell that Barry was emotional.
This is basic human interaction.
Bruce is supposed to be a smart character, he even comments on the fact that Barry isn’t being his “normal self” meaning in that moment even HE acknowledged that Barry wasn’t in the right head space.
And he still decided to comment on Wally.
As always, writers will make Batman seem stupid and inconsiderate whenever it fits a narrative.
And then make comics where’s he’s extremely observant of other people’s emotions or perceptions of him.

Haven’t read this myself (hard to keep up with comics these days on top of other hobbies), so I’m probably looking at this wrong, but here’s my thoughts.
From the main panels I saw, Barry was more grieving that their line of work gets their loved ones caught in the crossfire. The main part mentioning a dead Robin was in the same sentence as him mentioning that Iris (one of his folks) meaning he was also calling out being tired of his own failures.
So while Flash is also wrong for what he said and I don’t condone it, (let’s be honest, grieving cause folks to do over the top stuff) Batman’s retort felt completely out of spite, so felt more personal for also attacking Barry for something out of his control.
Though I admit there is something refreshing about seeing someone put Batman in his place for once as opposed to keeping him on the pedestal. But those are my thoughts.

Batman needs a more surefire contingency plan against the Flash. He's more dangerous than Superman.
In the many versions of Batmans contingencies, Flash was always stated as the most dangerous and difficult to stop. They only work if the flash is not running optimally and is instead running slower than normal. If something is controlling the Flash, they won't have the brain speed to control him at his top speed.
