Continuum RT aims to make fully Ray-Traced Minecraft a reality. With the use of Hierarchical Voxel Tracing, Spatio-Temporal Filtering, and the latest lighting models. They have created something absolutely stunning, and is capable of running in real time on modern consumer graphics hardware (recommended: GTX 1080 or higher).
Focal Engine aims to be a drop in replacement renderer for Minecraft that enables a much expanded feature set for shader developers while keeping mod support for both forge and fabric mods on 1.14.4+. It will be written in C++ and Vulkan, which will enable RT Hardware Acceleration on RTX GPU’s and potentially DLSS! It is currently written in Java and OpenGL 4.6, but in the near future they will be starting the transition to C++ and Vulkan. In this stage OpenGL 4.6 allows them to work on getting the core game in a good state for multithreaded rendering while retaining playability as well as the same mod compatibility as they had previously, while also enabling new features as time goes on.
It also enables in-game downloads, installation and updates for their full lineup of Continuum Shaders, and their Stratum Resourcepack.

@@rudrasingh6354 I remember having that kind of mindset like, years ago, when I was younger. I always thought that better graphics = better game. I'm so glad I grew out of it, I grew as an artist as well so art style is something I look into a lot more over the years. As you said, it's just absurd. Now I even appreciate new games that go for some sort of retro/old style. As much as I have huge respect for any well-made game graphics/realism in the newest games, I believe every kind of game (if the effort and soul were put into it) has its own special charm (Indie-games absolutely included).

The problem with minrcrafe is how bad it runs by default. Raytracing just kills it even more. When the base is build bad then slabing more complicated stuff on it doesnt sound that great.

Tried using just res pack on a 2009 iMac, got 23 FPS
This would actually run at a smooth 50 - 60fps on average consumer headwear being a gtx 1060 or 1080
Seus ptgi runs at 30fps on a gtx 1060 and this new shader is suppose to run twice as fast so you would get around 60 fps with this shader on average consumer hardware
Never try this at home: i used this shader, my pc is very hot. Decided to cook chicken in it, guess what you dont need a kfc console to cook chicken while being a gamer.

@@ShiroCh_ID That varies on your chunk loading settings etc, it's not really that demanding, it's just not very well optimized when it comes to certain things.
my 2080 ti run 4k cyberpunk 40 fps but 4k minecraft with 2048× texture and seus renewed shaders 70 fps that's meant cyberpunk is 1st in graphics
( I hate minecraft with rtx on and nvidia shaders that's why I'm using seus it's way better)

@no vids on dis channel I do agree, but i don't play with these unbelievebly heavy to run shaders. So then it's really playable. With optifine i get like 300 fps, and it still looks decent. What i want to say is, is that minecraft is a really free game in which you can decide yourself if you want to get that beautiful realism or more fps by using less intensive shaders.
And that's why i like minecraft (leaving all the creativity you can build out 🙂)

This is amazing. I was thinking about getting seus ptgi but I stumbled upon this and it changed my mind. Seus ptgi is a great ray tracing application but this seems it has way more potential in the long run.

the shaders shown are for the original minecraft and not for the rip off version
if they can realy make the game run with vulkan (its on opengl now) it will be able to take advantage of accelerators such as nvidias and amds newer cards
the bedrock edition is on dx12 and is currently the only way to use the nvidias rt cors (they dont work on opengl)
