“The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies” brings to an epic conclusion the adventures of Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman), Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) and the Company of Dwarves. The Dwarves of Erebor have reclaimed the vast wealth of their homeland, but now must face the consequences of having unleashed the terrifying Dragon, Smaug, upon the defenseless men, women and children of Lake-town.
As he succumbs to dragon-sickness, the King Under the Mountain, Thorin Oakenshield, sacrifices friendship and honor in his search for the legendary Arkenstone. Unable to help Thorin see reason, Bilbo is driven to make a desperate and dangerous choice, not knowing that even greater perils lie ahead. An ancient enemy has returned to Middle-earth. Sauron, the Dark Lord, has sent forth legions of Orcs in a stealth attack upon the Lonely Mountain. As darkness converges on their escalating conflict, the races of Dwarves, Elves and Men must decide-unite or be destroyed. Bilbo finds himself fighting for his life and the lives of his friends as five great armies go to war.

The best trilogy I have ever watched and I shall think that it will never be topped in my opinion! The way it was set out, effects-wise and the inspirational meanings behind it were mind blowing!! Its just a shame to see it end, but you have to remember, good things always come to an end!

Reminds me of how the last "Pirates of the Caribbean" was a dumbed down shadow of the first movie.
Unfortunately, the Battle of the Five Armies episode was so filled with special effects, and little plot "add ons" to the book, that it became nothing more than 2 hours plus of non stop violence, horrific special effects, death and killing.
The episode was sadly damaged by the need to add audience "pleasing" effects.
It was a sad and damaging movie and I really hope these people stop playing with the
heart of this trilogy.
I don't know when this advertisement was put together, but it is a far cry from the very expensive cartoon of killing the Battle of the Five Armies is. The charaacters are totally lost in the frenzy for more "violence and special effects".
On can only hope the producer sand money people take a step back and really analyze why the movie was not the box office success it could have been.
One can only hope they edit out the bullshit and go back to the heart of the books
in future episodes. That may require getting rid of the more blatantly opportunistic staff
messing with the essence of the story.
A little pissed off that this has happened sand I hope it stops.
