Thank for your video, really take a long walk to transit :D. Did you take a long time in security check ? I just have1hour 35 mins time to transit in the coming trip. Hope everything is smooth in transit in Istanbul Airport soon.

Yes you do and it is usually given at the check in counter.

Hi! Thanks for watching and for the positive feedback 🙏🏽🫶🏽. You will have to take your luggage if you are transiting in more than one airport at Turkey. However if you’re only transiting through the Istanbul airport then your luggage will be ready at the final destination. You will go through International transfers because you are transiting. Enjoy your trip.
Hi, how long it took you to walk from arriving at concourse until your new gate?
We had one hour 30mins to get to gate it took us about 25 mins taxiing when we arrived and roughly about 50- 55mins to get to our gate.

Hi is there any requirements for transit , like a visa or document, my transit is there and I just wanted to be prepared
Transit visa will not be required if you’re traveling through the Istanbul airport only. However you’ll need transit visa if you’re transiting more than one airport in Turkey because you’ll leave one airport and enter the country to the next airport in the same country. I hope this helps if not please contact the airline to confirm before you travel. Enjoy your trip.
So, no need to security check between transfer right?
I passed through security on this trip however things might be different by now. The Airport officials will determine and are there to help and direct you with information on transfer protocol. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching.
I’m coming from USA and will transfer to antalya, do I need to go to passport control or international transfer? Or would it be domestic transfer since I will already be in instanbul? Love the video.
If you’ll transit through Antalya as well you’ll need a transit visa since it’s a domestic transfer. Thanks 🙏🏽
This is a disaster..I had also to transfer to Antalya. .I missed my connection when I arrived and also returning home. Problem . Walking distance . Secondly the time displays are not good adjusted.. thirdly nobody is talking English. I am an experienced traveller but I was lost. One positive thing..I got 2x hotel from Turkish airlines...they know the problems..you cannot make it in 1 hour to transfer. You have to go to customs and 2 times security control. A trip to the far East via Singapore is much more relaxing. Singapore is big airport ..but what a difference... everything is clear...so no stress. Good luck with your trip ..take more time for transfer. . because delays are common.
I will be travelling from India to london by Istanbul Airport in next 20 days. How much time is enough for security check & to find gate at Istanbul airport?
One hour should be enough just start heading to your gate if you get to the airport and you realize your gate is ready. Safe journey.

Yes it’s enough time. If you see your gate or next flight is ready on the display screens head straight to the gate no time to waste. Depending on how fast you walk or how close your gate is you may have about 30mins. I didn’t take long at security about 10min max. Thanks

Where do I get my baggage? Do I first claim it, or should I directly go to the departure gate? I'm transfering from Istanbul to another Turkish city.

If you have a transit visa and you’re coming to London from Ghana that’s fine and this is what I think. If you’re required to claim your luggage before you transit then you have to follow the baggage reclaim sign and it’ll lead you to where to claim them. However if you’re not required to claim your luggage you have to go straight to the next boarding gate… your luggages will arrive at your final destination where you can claim them. However if you’re not sure what to do and any of this information is not helpful pls speak to an airline official responsible for your flight to confirm if you need to claim your luggage or not before your final destination. 🙏🏽

Hello Juan, I think two hours is ok to go through transfer so long as you don’t spend too much time shopping duty free you are ok. When you get to the airport and you see the gate of your next flight displayed it’s better to head straight to the gate but if it’ll take a while before it shows you can take your time. It takes about 25mins to taxi after landing btw. Thanks for watching. God bless you and your family too.

From International Arrival , how far to walk to Domestic departure ?
It will depend on your gate. Some gates are further away than others.
If you flying from EU to EU with transfer in Istanbul is it enough to have only identity card?
Hi I’m not so sure but from the little research I did on google you can travel with just the identity card on condition that you don’t exit the transit zone. I hope this helps if not kindly contact the airline before you travel. Safe journey and enjoy your trip.

Do you need transit visa from Ghana to London when using Turkish Airlines?
No you don’t if you’re transiting at Istanbul only but you’ll need one if you’ll transit more than one airport in Turkey 🇹🇷 eg. Antalya and the rest apart from Istanbul because you’ll have to leave the airport and enter the county to travel to the other airports. I hope this helps. If not please contact airline and be sure of your travel plan before you travel.

Are there restrictions on how many kids can travel with an adult?
We were unable to check in online because the site informed us to do so at the airport so we couldn’t choose our seats. However I’m sure you can ask the airport staff in charge of the check in to assist you to choose your seats at the airport if you check in early. As to restrictions with regards to the number of kids to travel with, I don’t think so. How many kids are you traveling with btw?

I actually saw a picture of the same tower inside the airport. So what is it then?

Too much going on and seems hard to find your gate
Yeah I felt same on my first transit via this airport but had it easier the second time. That’s why I make these type of videos to help people navigate their way around the airport especially first time travelers. Thanks for watching!
@@mbjbeauty thank you I am grateful for your video seriously I usually fly Qatar but I am trying to budget on this trip I am planning to Europe and I am researching different airlines with shorter layovers but the way this airline looks I will not make my gate on a 1 hour 20 min layover
@rhondaterry1671 you can make your gate within 1hr 20MINS I think. I suggest you head to your gate as soon as you arrive at the airport and your gate is ready (displayed on the screens around the airport). However if you should decide not to use this airline or airport I wish you a safe journey. Enjoy your travels!
