John 'Yogi' Hughes - Celtic Legend

(1959-1971) • Some important goals scored by John Hughes, who netted 197 times for the Hoops in 435 appearances. Despite being built like a bear and having a fantastic goal-scoring record, Yogi was usually used as a left winger. He helped Jock Stein's Hoops reach two European Cup Finals, although he was injured for the 1967 win against Inter Milan. Hughes did score a crucial goal against Leeds in the semis three years later, and started the extra-time San Siro loss to Feyenoord.
