I should study up more on your aikido. I think it is time to come out of my own practice and see what others are doing. I would consider all of these nage waza iriminage since the driving force is the neck throw. I think Yoshinkan considers them tenchin nage but presses more on the chest rather than going to the neck.
I asked this very thing of my instructor. He told me, it's all about intention. What is your intention. My intention is to grab, I said. Yes, he said, and my intention is to get out of your grab. If you simply let go, then I don't need to do anything. You have not gained anything and I have achieved my goal. But I'm not on the ground, I said. Yes, he said, but I too am also safe, I will not allow you to grab me. If your intention is to continue to try and grab and hold on to me, then you will end up on the ground.
Aikido is the ultimate Martial Art, which means that you must not START by it. It's just an addition to EVERYTHING ELSE. So yeah, if something goes wrong, you need to be able to punch the guy in the face. And also know to block a punch. Or take one.
@@blop-a-blop9419 punching is intuitive as is blocking. There is no knowing how to take a punch. Maybe you could shift as your hit but that is it. Aikido is just a form if jujutsu that people I make crazy claims about for and against because they have some story to tell. Like you really gonna care what style you train in when most of the stuff is the same. Styles ruined karate!
Love the fact Tissier is short......it gives me hope !
Ueshiba was even shorter ;-)

Tissier is just pure energy hopping around in phase space.

AIKIDO is really hard......
It’s moving zen, you can only be shown it as it cannot be taught, get out of your own way and it will be

Not really
Sensei...
Mati satu tumbuh ratusan juta.
Sakit satu sehat puluhan milyar dan dojonya.
Go for martial art.
Safe for words.
If the opponent did not mantein the grap nothing would happen right.
So this a choreography. This Sensei is explaining a fake
Pure bullshido.

That's the point. To force uke to let go or be doomed by his own hand. This sensei is very respected.
