The shield that the WD GM Sniper II uses is your latter guess- its a Ground Type shield with the bottom half of the federation "standard" tower shield glued onto it. In Rise From the Ashes its called the "middle shield." One thing I really appreciate about this game is how they patch and update older units like this. I've played so many "gatcha" styled games where old units were simply rendered obsolete by newer ones. Two games that come to mind that I've played are SD Gundam Capsule Fighter Online and Gundam Breaker Mobile. In SDGO pretty much ALL of the "starting units" and early S ranks are horrible just from power creep- and they actually had multiple versions of popular units like the Freedom. In Gundam Breaker Mobile its pretty similar with just recently they added parts that could upgrade to 7 Stars. Only the new "exclusive" parts could upgrade so its highly recommended to stay current to ditch your old 6 star parts that you've grinded for and use the new ones. Its infuriating.
Wow, I forgot how many times Amuro's shield did break, lol! As far as upgrades to the original Gundam, I would like to see the RX-78 get a downswing or counter animation that uses a lunging/thrusting attack with high damage since Amuro used it so many times in the series.
"I don't know why that Dullahan decided to run" - Okay, I got this one Rob haha, The cooldown time on that lance is insanely long, He couldn't melee you again after knocking you down and none of his other weapons (Vulcans, shield gatlings) would have done any noticeable damage to you while you were downed to justify risking being shot trying to get an extra maybe 300 damage. Edit: Also the WD Sniper indeed has a Ground combat shield like a GM Ground with half a standard GM shield plate applied over it. You can see the wire handle, and the striking tip under the plate.
It can charge while moving now? so I wasn't imaging things when I was fighting one yesterday. The White dingo shield is consider to be a Medium Size shield where the Gundam/GM Shield is the Large Shield and the Ground Gundam/GM is the Small Shield. From what I can recall the WD Shield was designed specifically for the WD GM Sniper ll and has been used by that suit sin the Rise From the Ashes game where the WD team first appears. It's made by putting the lower half of a Large Shield onto a Small Shield. I believe it was done to make it more durable by making it thicker.
White Dingo 2 needed better defenses for everything including the shield, more damage for the rifle, better range and probably more ammo for the vulcan pod. Nice shooting btw
I like how so many of the "expert" elite players always pose the argument that this unit is worthless because just use a support. Like no if someone on the team is already a support unit picking this is like piking a general that can also act like a support and just add on more damage to the teams support unit. I've seen this thing do between 100K to 120K damage which is pretty good for a general. I don't understand why they compare it to support when its a general. Makes zero sense.
Ok, so the way I understand the lore, the gm sniper II was given da ballistic rifle cuz it had a inferior power system that couldn't power da beam rifle.
With that moving charge up I might try the suit again. One patch that I would definitely like to see in the future is for the Tristan. I played a couple rounds with it recently and good grief those swings have no reach and no speed. It’s really funny though because the beam saber seem a little longer than normal ones and yet I can hardly reach anything when swinging.
This update hurt me the most. This is my favorite MS and my most played suit (450). I got so accustomed to the stop and shoot that I would front line and use the sniper as a shotgun. I appreciate the added flexibility with the moving while charging, but it been throwing off my shots because I have to account for the stopping before firing in my aim predictions lol
I don't think there's any official reason for the F other than they just wanted to use some character numerical or letter to differentiate the F from the standard Zudah. There is some speculation among fans with the little info that there is about the unit. The most common though is that it stands for Falak which was the name of a Zeon Remnant army group that used a few Zudah F's. Another theory is that it stands for Fix as the issues with the Zudah were fixed but again no official confirmation of this. Lastly it was though that given how Zeon uses their model numbers to indicate which version a unit is, is that this was the 6th version/configuration of the Zudah. Like there is the Gelgoog A, B, C, D all the way to J as far as I know, this is what people are assuming is that there were Zudah's A to E but since there is no official data or info about these it's merely assumed that the Zudah F is the 6th version as thats how Zeon operates. In the end no one really knows.

The ready up time on the dullahan's lance is a tad slow, that's why it broke off, it couldn't get a swing off which would have killed you
Origin Rx 78-2 would be sooo dope to have in this game.
The RX-78-2 needs a lot of changes. In particular a Beam Javelin. Even if it's just a sub weapon version.
